By in New Zealand,

I wonder what is behind the fire engine doors..

Great set. Steering, 8 opening doors... Speed Champions eat your hearts out. Not too much comfort for the imaginary crew though, with each seat being a single 1x1 brick.

By in Canada,

Back when the number of colours in a set was 5 or less. No hidden pink bricks in this one!

I miss those old two-brick-tall doors.

The yellow 'stripe' of the ladder almost looks like the 'Legoland' branding. Maybe it's what inspired it?!

Looks like it would be an excellent match for that very red dinghy RPotD gave us a week and change ago

By in Netherlands,

Again a set with this steering mechanism (including that 5x6 plate with a hole!), and also those "dual molded" doors long before dual molding existed......And to be fair: it's even more impressive that they managed to spray transparent onto a red door!

Wow! A trip Down Memory Lane, as this and the police car were my first ever LEGO sets!

I was trying to be nice. I got a rep to protect. ;)

That's truthfully my so very favorite line from that bit, if not the whole movie.

Of course, there's always: (1) You get to drink from the firehose!

or (2) Now we're going to teach poodles how to fly... Floofy, are you psyched?!

It is weird that the single blue round brick seems to move. Different pictures have it in different places.

It's Ladder 336 in LEGO City!

In all seriousness, it was really impressive that painted red was a perfect colour match to molded red (albeit prone to a bit of flaking). Now Lego can't manage to get the colour even remotely right on a printed windscreen. Progress I guess!

They even have trouble molding pieces in the same color nowadays....

So many doors. And steering too

@watcher21: I even have a pair of those, in 6867. But that's the only set I have with the revived mold, and considering the set is more than a decade old, I'd forgotten that they'd brought it back. Although if 60386 (which also has the part, and is still on shelves) had moved from my wanted list to my owned list before this got posted...

What?"

the random minifig of the day of a few days ago, a snake-person child with scarf made some people ask questions about how snake-people's biology works...
