Jørn has designed many, many great sets over the years. Since I have been working with him for the last couple years, I thought it was about time to make him a BrickList.

I want to give my dad the recognition he deserves, as a LEGO designer in the 80s on the TOWN theme and in the early 90s as the creator/co-creator of the 9V train theme.

He’s also the person behind some of the most used speciality bricks in the last 30 years:
The 1x2 flat tile “the grille” (part 2412a/b)
The 1x2 profile brick (part 2877)
The 2x2 corner plate (part 2420)
The 2x2 corner brick (part 2357)

On part 2412, the grille - he specifically mentions that Godtfred Kirk Christiansen was against the design, seeing as there were no studs on top, but it was approved eventually, mainly due to Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen supporting the design.

After this, he worked on many of the classic Miniland dioramas in LEGOLAND Billund and LEGOLAND Windsor, before departing LEGO and LEGOLAND altogether in the late 90s.

Other people have tried to list all of Jamie Berard's sets - what's special about this list? I tracked him down on Facebook to ask him firsthand which sets he did. His response was detailed and precise, but making it readily available (and easy to follow with pictures) on Brickset seemed like a good idea. His comments are in quotes, the sporadic other notes were info I happened to know (let me know if I should add something).

Newer sets have been added (by Brickset staff?) that did not appear on Jamie's original Facebook list, but have been publicly attributed to Jamie elsewhere (such as in official designer videos advertising the sets).

In some way I was at least slightly involved in building these models!

I have a background as a Mechanical Engineer. After my studies, I resumed my childhood interest in building with LEGO Bricks as my hobby. Later, I applied for the job as LEGO Designer and began 1. August 1997.

Over the years I have worked on more than 30 different LEGO themes and designed - or co-designed - more than 140 LEGO sets.

It has been my pleasure to work together with so many wonderful and multi-talented creative people within model-design, graphic-design and sculpture-design. All of them are great colleagues, and I am proud to call many of them my very best friends.

It´s important to emphasize, that making a new LEGO set and bringing it to the marked, is a very complex process that involves the skills, knowledge, experience and enthusiasm from hundreds of LEGO employees in many different departments: Design, Marketing, Building Instruction, Production, Packaging, Distribution and more. The goal is to make each LEGO set the best possible building- and play experience for our customers, and it only becomes possible, because everyone is working together to achieve this.
For this reason, and because I am a very strong believer in fairness, I have credited the colleagues, that I have worked together with on the various sets.

When new LEGO sets (that I have designed) have been released, I will continue to update this list with information which I hope will be interesting to LEGO enthusiasts of all ages.

This bricklist is the controversial companion to its predecessor and consists of those sets that really should have been thought a bit more about before being released by Lego. Superbly littered with a collection of those painstakingly annoying sets that made you cringe, this list will enlighten you in ways unimaginable. The set with the worst design. The set with the utterly useless baseplate. The set with the ugliest minifigure. The set with the most worthless bricks. The set that will make you vomit. The set that will make you vomit and then eat your own vomit. The set that will make you vomit, eat your own vomit, and then vomit again...I digress, this experience is relative – but the scenarios are endless.

This Bricklist will cover the evolution and many variations of the classical LEGO Minifigure. Now this will not fit in the captions so here is the origin:

Back then, LEGO only made play sets without the minifigures. When the play sets were losing popularity and kids didn't buy them LEGO did not know what was wrong. Until in 1978, a brave worker, Jens Nygaard made a little man (after 50 prototypes) and there began the minifigure.

This is a list for making a Hogwarts from the Harry Potter theme. It would be rather expensive to follow this list, so it is more for inspirtation. Another thing, I have it set to hold flesh charecters. If you have any suggestion or comments, leave them on my wikia talk page (a link is provided on my profile).

Most of the sets listed are sets that I built sketch models for, many of them were completed by another designer, so why are they on my list? I've often work in the role of "Idea Guy" or Concept Designer where I bridged the gap between wild ideas and realistic execution.

Back in 2011, while working as a Master Model Builder for the LEGOLAND Parks, I pitched a LEGO Batman expansion area. It never worked out for a variety of licensing/timing/business reasons, but during my research, I rediscovered my love of Batman The Animated Series and the sprawling architecture of the neo futuristic 'Dark Deco' distopian city of Gotham. Inspiration lead me to build my own Gotham City at home, but progress paused when I moved to Denmark. The idea for Gotham as a set was in the back of my head for over a decade! My old Flickr page has an image of the Gotham City I was building at home, along with the caption "Gotham WIP. Coming soon." Admittedly, 12+ years stretches the definition of "soon" but we got there eventually.

-Besides Batman and Gray Ghost, there are 30 characters hidden throughout the set, 3 of which are represented using only bricks. Major kudos to anyone who can identify all 30!
-The instructions include an episode to pair with each of the 44 number bags. The episode names in the instructions correlate with the reference material for the part of the model built in that numbered bag- In other words, you can see what you're building on screen while you build it! So if you want to watch again (of course right?!) you can check out how close I kept the design to the source material.
-Despite the clouds all angling from top left to bottom right, the number of Left elements and Right elements are balanced evenly.

Not to be confused with the LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs, which are regular retail sets with many more sets, LEGO has been releasing blister-packaged battle packs and accessory sets as extended-line products since 2008. There is no universal tag for these in the Brickset database, so I'm compiling them here.

A list of the modern one mini-figure impulse sets introduced by Lego in 2008. All impulse sets contain one mini-figure and a small amount of utilities for the figure to interact with. The impulse sets should not be confused with polybags or other promotional sets. The mini-figure impulse sets are special as they are all delivered in a real Lego box like other mainstream Lego sets. However, the box is very small. A mini-figure impulse set normally contains between 15 and 30 bricks. Price is between US$3 and US$5 depending on place of purchase. Lego ended the series in 2010. Here are examples of sets excluded from the list on purpose as they do not really fit the definition above: All polybags and promotional sets, 4933 Street Sweeper, 5373 Knight & Catapault and 7901 Airplane Mechanic.

This BrickList is slightly different: Every Blacktron I set goes with its Space Police I counterpart, just like in a battle!

I always wanted to make a LEGO Island based the great video game. Of courseI was unwilling to pay 6x more plus shipping on Ebay, Amazon, or any other online store than the set's original value. A couple years later though, I discovered Bricklink where most sets are cheap and set myself to ordering every set in the PC game. Here are the perfect sets needed to recreate the awesome Virtual LEGO world.

A list of all the Lego animals, to collect or get the instructions from brickset and build them. I bet there are some you didn't know about!
There are a few which you'd be better off buying as sets, such as larger animals like Shelob and Deep Sea Predators, or those with rarer pieces (like the green hinge on the frogs legs).
The criteria I've used are:
- Brick-built rather than moulded.
- Realistic, rather than pilotted by minifigs, or generally made-up (although I couldn't resist including the disabled grasshopper!).

A list of the Lego Advent Calendars released for the Christmas season throughout the years. The calendars started to appear in 1998 and at least one has been released every year since. The list is sorted by year of appearence.

Here is a guide to the various minifig magnet sets, showing which ones are not glued to the base and which ones are glued to the base.

Since I like collecting minifigs, I was thinking it might be helpful to start a Bricklist of the minifig magnet sets and have them listed by those that have removeable minifigs and those that have glued minifigs. The reason this idea came up was I had set #852948-1 (Female Minifigure Magnet Set) still on card and I was thinking about getting rid of it (I had no use for the minifigs if they were glued to their magnetic bases). Once I found out the minifigs could be removed, I changed my mind and decided to keep this set.

Since then I've thought about getting other magnet sets, but I found it difficult to find out exactly which ones are glued and which ones aren't. I thought a Bricklist would not only help me, but other minifig collectors as well.

Thanks to Farmer_John and akunthita I learned a little something about these magnet sets. Basically anything before 2011 is not glued, while anything after is glued. There is apparently some overlap with some sets that were sold both ways. When in doubt, the later sets state on the backside that the minifigs are not detachable.

All the SW Battle Packs. These sets are the main reason that I got into collecting LEGO, and I thought it would be proper make a Bricklist about them. By the way, all Battle Packs are in pairs, and two are released every year. 'Battle Pack' comes from the fact that you can battle with them, and that you can build an army with them. So, the SW minifig packs and Final Battle I/II would not be included. In order of release. It'll be updated when needed.

A list of all sets containing brick-built trees. The goal of this list is to chart the history of brick-built trees in Lego sets over the years. This list excludes Basic Brick buckets and the 'pile of parts' Creator sets that merely suggest trees on the packaging as being possible. Also excluded are Seasonal Christmas tree polybags and the sets containing the segmented palm trees from Classic Pirates.

I have seen a lot of Winter Village BrickLists out there, but none seem to be up-to-date. I will do my best to make sure this list contains every set that fits with the Winter Village theme. There are the obvious big sets, but many small seasonal/exclusive sets that get missed. Please let me know if you see anything missing that you think should be a part of this list.

I'm Bas Brederode, a senior designer at the LEGO company. In my 18 years at the LEGO company I've worked in many different departments as Star Wars, Batman, Games, Friends, DC Super Hero Girls and a couple of themes that didn't make it to production. In the Dutch/Belgian edition of LEGO Masters I fulfill the role of Jury, aka the Brickmaster.

For all of these sets I was responsible for finishing the final product. But to be honest, every LEGO set is a joint effort by the LEGO Design team that is responsible for the product line. On some sets I've mentioned other designers that have made a significant contribution to the product. Without them, the set wouldn't have been what it is today!

One of my all time favorite Themes, the Pirates are some of the best sets LEGO has to offer. Once again we are working on the assumption that this BrickList is a glimpse into a potential combination display/faction/fiction type of deal, just as my other BrickLists are.

This one shouldn't be too long in the making. Hopefully you'll enjoy it all, once we finish with Pirates before I do Licensed Themes I was figuring on going back to add some Classic Era Space Sets to my Space BrickList.

This is a list of sets I have worked on, in reverse chronological order.

Making a LEGO set is not a one-man show. Many people from different departments (graphic design, element design, building instructions development, global master data, lead teams, packaging design, manufacturing etc.) need to collaborate to bring even the smallest set to store shelves. My part is only the design of the model. In other words: I figure out how the bricks come together.

A list to document pretty much anything that could relate to disability, impairment, health conditions, (long term) injury and accessibility and prostheses in LEGO sets.

I'm an AFOL with a professional interest in disability issues, and I am also disabled and neurodivergent.

This list might be useful if you have an interest in disability representation in LEGO, or toys in general, or if you are looking to find parts and printing that relate to to disability, accessibility, injury or prostheses in your MOCs.

Since Lego hasn't given us a Luke Skywalker (Endor) minifigs since 1999, I've decided to put together a BrickList to direct you in making a new one until Lego does.

The upcoming LEGO STAR WARS sets are coming in mid-July 2011 or August 2011. The advent calender will be released around Christmas-time. Most sets will a preview rating. In all, these sets, themselves are great; but the prices make them look bad. I would wait for the prices to decline.
My favorite set in this line has got to be the new Millennium Falcon.
My least favorite set in this line is the Sith Nightspeeder.

This Bricklist was created to show the evolution of the "Destiny's Bounty" sets throughout the Ninjago series up to this point (June 2017).

A collection of Star Wars sets calculated to be true minifigure scale. Minifigure scale is being defined as 1/45 regarding the height of the minifigure, and the length of sets on this list are within 10% perfectly to scale. This is a list of sets I have worked on since joining the LEGO Group as a Model Designer in September 2022 :) I am very lucky to be a part of the LEGO Ideas team! I'm from Athens, Greece. Before joining TLG, I worked as an architect, designing large scale public buildings, such as museums and universities. I also worked in education, teaching architecture, industrial design and robotics, using LEGO bricks, to 6-18 y.o. students!

Exactly like the title says, in order from highest to lowest piece count. Must be retail sets, no collections, no assorted bricks. Hope to keep it up-to-date as more sets come out.

A list of brick-built 'heart' sets

These are the City Sets (2005 to ) that have possibly never been released as they have never traded on Bricklink.

Once upon a time, Seaquest DSV was rather popular and had a substantial following. Around the same time, Lego released underwater sets trying to find some medium of success. Sadly, none of those themes/subthemes survive to this day.

Note, this list only includes those Lego sub-themes that were focus on underwater adventure themes. It does not include underwater individual sets such as Technic submarines (8250) or the Gungan Sub (7161) or Harry Potter's Mer people (4762). It also does not focus on sub-themes that revolves on the surface of the Ocean/Sea (e.g. Pirates or Ships).

The 1984 relaunch http://brickset.com/bricklists/?75 introduced us to the world of Classic Castle (as opposed to the yellow castle which was part of Town subtheme). The new theme was fleshed out with sets over the next 3 years (1985 - 1987) http://brickset.com/bricklists/?156

Because I searched for a Bricklist like this and couldn't find one, I created this one. I have decided not to include ancient Egyptian sets, because that would make this list contain two whole themes (Pharaohs Quest and Adventures Desert). I also didn't include the games 3841-1: Minotaurus and 3864-1: Mini Taurus because there aren't any ancient Roman or Greek people/things in the games (apart from the microfigures).

Sets from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Buildable Figures and Microfighters aren't included.

Note: "Encounter on Jakku" and "Resistance X-wing Fighter" will be added in the Bricklist just when they'll appear on the website.

Brickset has a list of UCS sets, but it includes larger playsets like 10188 Death Star and 10236 Ewok Village that are not considered by LEGO to be UCS. I have made a list here if all the true UCS sets. This does not include the new MBS series of large Star Wars sets, I have a new list for that.

The fourth cycle was a simple cycle in the mid 90s. Lego was beginning to shorten the cycle duration right about now, and the fourth cycle only lasted for about 2 years spanning 1995 and 1996. The cycle had the Royal Knights as the main focus and the Dark Forest as the Forestmen replacement.

1988 marked the start of the second cycle - see http://brickset.com/brickLists/?170 - and continued until about 1991. This cycle was defined by the Forestmen and the Black Knights, but the Gold Lions and the Black Falcons sets were still being produced in this cycle.

The third cycle began in 1992, and unlike the previous two cycles, only lasted for 3 years. The cycle was dominated by the Dragon Masters and had the Wolfpack as the enemies. The Black Falcons and the Forestmen were not included in this cycle, but the Black Knights and the Gold Lions did make a appear briefly in the first year of the cycle.

This list gives an overview of each of the Castle cycles. It came about because in the latter years, each cycle consists only of one subtheme and Brickset sorts that out rather well, so there is no longer the need to create Bricklists for those later cycles.

I was reading the comments on this article, http://brickset.com/news/article/?ID=1079, when I realized how much of a desired figure Padme is. She is rumored to be coming up in a Summer-2011 set, so I'll update this list when/if that comes out. That set is supposed to once again, be Padme in her desert gear, so this list may still be usable at that time.

Though there are probably some modified figures of the queen/senater out on e-bay, this is for all the purists.

This rumor list comes from Smashing Bricks which has been very reliable in the past. Only the DC sets are listed here, because those are the only ones in the Brickset database. (They are un-named, not un-numbered). The Marvel action figures, though confirmed, are absent because there are not any other Marvel sets in the data base. To Celebrate the 10th year of Bionicle products (and its end), I'll be doing my own classification for the Bionicle sets instead of the official sources, making it easier to see their history through the years. This list shows one set per Canister series, featuring each different construction or design style. The Canister included in this list are from 2006-2009. Since 2006, Lego developed a new pattern to the construction style of the Bionicle canister sets, which is pratically followed until now. Some notable characteristics and similarities among the canister sets of 2006-2009 are the lack of complex Technic-based functions, such as the traditional gears; the use of pre-developed body pieces with ball joints glued in the lateral sides; the increasement of sizes and costs, but not necessarily number of pieces included per sets; the use of launching weapons, no matter how bad they can be connected in the set; the priorization of addictive design and free playability, not priorization of application of complex manual functions or new kinds of construction (though it still having some exceptions) and all the sets usually have the average of 13 articulations. The name "Mask of Life" is used in the title of the list because it is the factor in the Bionicle story which links the years of 2006-2009. To Celebrate the 14th year of TECHNIC Based Action Figures, I'll be doing my own classification of the sets instead of the official sources, making it easier to analyze their history through the years. This list contains the different styles of construction present in the Hero Factory Canister sets. The villains are not packed in canisters, but their price is the same as the 2008 Mistika - 2009 Glatorian Legends lines, so they'll be included. From 2012 to 2014, Villains and Heroes were randomly chosen to have different prices and the series lost its already messed up color code, so defining a line between the series became a problem. They range from "8 to 10 dollars" to "small canisters" and from "12 to 15" to "canisters", even though, to enter in accordance with my other lists, 15 dollars is the cost of Titan sets already - so no pricey set here (no super heroes, Chima, Ben 10 or Invasion from Below. This is probably the best Bricklist 4 Star Wars, Buy an ARC-170 and another Clone Pilot, then a Droid Tri-Fighter then Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter. this would make a good Battle and a Diorama of Plo Koon's death in Cato Nemeoidia.

These set are the ones you need for the battle of Kashyyyk. The commander of the clone trooper army on Kashyyyk was Commander Gree. With This brick list you need to chose if you want to use Phase 1 clone trooper or phase 2 clone trooper. When you get the sets make sure you save the firing arms for older droids. If you have any custom clone they will make the battle look amazing.

Bionicle ended with very different moves. What was meant to be "Small sets" were already surpassing the prices of what in 2001 would be considered Canisters. Now, the Bionicle Stars already have Canisters and are more expensive than the Toa Mata. This move will continue with the next line of Action Figures based in Ball joint/socket building as well. Characteristics of all those sets are the inheritance of the very easy Av-Matoran building; their body piece includes 5 glued ball-joints; their limbs includes both socket and ball-joints at its extremities; they have the head completely translucent; they have the worst price per piece count of all Bionicle history to date and they still follow the superficial differences of mask/weapons to give personality to the set. It's the return of Harry Potter this summer! As a Harry Potter fan, I thought I would do the best Harry Potter sets of each year. This bricklist is based on review ratings.

A bricklist that shows all the At-at walkers that Lego has made over the years

Well here they are.it may change every now and then.my 17th bricklist.

If you get these sets, along with a bunch of plain white bricks and some plain white base plates, you can make an epic Hoth Battle!

Sets you'll need to make a great Imperial Navy. The Navy is the flying craft and spaceships as opposed to ground vehicles, such as the AT-AT. (See my Imperial Army Bricklist for that.) This Bricklist does include UCS and Planet sets. MINI sets to come soon. I took the term from LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary. It'll be updated when needed.

This bricklist includes recommended sets for a miniatures game set in the Star Wars universe, a bit like Warhammer. This will focus on a Republic Starter Set. I don’t have any rules, but feel free to write out your own.

Ninjago sets containing ninja suits/variants, which have never appeared in the tv show, the movie or in the Dark Island Trilogy.
This list does NOT include minifigures like NJO037 or NJO103, since with those you can remove their extra armor and make them completely story-accurate.

During the Separatist Crisis, (Commonly referred to as the Clone Wars) the Jedi Order maintained a fleet of single pilot light fighter-craft. These craft were flown in combat missions throughout the war by a number of Jedi pilots. Starting in 2002, the LEGO Group has produced 12 of these unique starfighters, for 7 different Jedi pilots. In total, the company has released 26 sets containing these vehicles, resulting in 27 different designs and ships.
This list will contain - sorted by release and model type - each of these 27 ships.
The first half of the BrickList, containing 16 sets, consists of the Delta-7 model Aethersprite-class light interceptors, flown during the first 2 years of the war, and during the lead-up period prior to the Battle of Geonosis.

In this Bricklist, I will be showing you how to make a minifigure of the subtitle character from the blockbuster film, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."

Throughout the years, many LEGO Technic sets have been produced in collaboration with companies worldwide. This bricklist contains all the 'known' sets that have been based on licensed material. Please contact me if I missed something.

This is a list that (hopefully) represents every movie-related IP in LEGO. Given the potential for grey areas in such a list, I have put some ground rules/criteria in place: 1) ONE set per IP has been included. Most IPs have entire themes dedicated to the source material (e.g. Jurassic World). In these cases, only one set is chosen to represent the IP. This will be the highest rated set, based on Brickset user reviews; 2) This is also the case for IPs that have multiple films represented in LEGO. For example, the Indiana Jones theme has sets based on each film in the trilogy (yes, there are only three Indiana Jones films o_o), but only one set is selected to represent the theme; 3) The exception to this rule is Star Wars, given what a behemoth of a theme it is. In this list, there is a set representing the original trilogy, prequel trilogy, and The Force Awakens (eventually becoming the 'new' trilogy). This is somewhat arbitrary on my part; if you don't like it, make your own Bricklist :) 4) In some cases, a film IP is represented across multiple themes rather than a single theme (e.g. Ghostbusters is spread across its own general theme, LEGO Ideas, and LEGO Dimensions). However, a single set from the combined themes is selected; 5) For 'umbrella' IPs (e.g. Marvel, DC), a set from each distinct film-based IP is chosen. For example, under the Marvel theme the list includes sets for Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America: Civil War, and so on; 6) In the case of superhero IPs, only film-specific sets are included. For example, Deadpool and X-Men have feature film franchises, but the LEGO sets featuring these characters are based on comic books and cartoons, and therefore not included. This is why, for example, the 2003/2004 Spider-Man theme is included, but the Ultimate Spider-Man subtheme is not. This rule also applies to non-superhero IPs, e.g. Simpsons House is excluded because it's not specific to The Simpsons Movie.

Get some grey, brown, and greyy-brown bricks to build the mountain. Lots of them. Otherwise, just see the list.

There are some interesting sets at Legoland California, including many hard-to-find and discontinued Lego sets. I hope this Bricklist is useful.

This list includes set with minifigures which are compatible with non CLONE WARS styled minifigures. I used only characters/objects which are considered minifigures by bricklink. Minifigures who have large eyes that are covered up by helmets (f.e. most clones and mandalorians) are not included. No matter how many appearences a minifigure has he/she/it will only be listed once unless there is a/are any variations.

I saw someone else's Ultimate Hoth Battle Bricklist, so I decided to make an Endor one.

In the 80s, most themes had a "cycle" of 3 - 4 years (the lead time of the design cycle), with a lot of new sets during the first year, then dribbles and drabs in the next 2 or 3 years.

The first castle theme cycle lasted from 1984 to 1987. This list details the sets from 1985 - 1987 (again with comments!).

The fifth cycle was a time when Lego was trying to compress its cycles and consequently only lasted about one and a half years. The cycle had the Fright Knights as the main focus.

This Bricklist contains number ones of the 2009 Bionicels in certain categories.

On February 1st, 2023, thirteen upcoming LEGO sets were leaked from a survey conducted to gauge how participants felt about the sets at certain price points. With one exception, these sets would not start to hit shelves until over a year later, seeing release throughout 2024. It is remembered as the biggest and earliest leak the LEGO community had ever witnessed.

Only one set from the leak, a brick-built model of Donald Duck, has yet to be confirmed for release.

My goal is to own every Lego Castle set, or one that includes medieval elements !

This list include all Lego sets which have a complete windsurf set, a windsurf sail or a surfboard. Within Leisure and Paradisa, a subthemes of town, the first windsurf Lego sets were introduced in 1992. Also parts of the cool but rare windsurf equipment is used in sets; surf sails for sailboats and after the end of Paradisa windsurf boards for wave riding. Recent the little surfboards for wave riding are released in the Collectable Minifigures and Creator sets. This list gives an overview of Lego surfing through the years, it's return so now and then and see surf sets almost always have an rating around 4 bricks!

To Celebrate the 14th year of TECHNIC Based Action Figures, I'll be doing my own classification of the sets instead of the official sources, making it easier to analyze their history through the years.

Like the title says! When LEGO found their way again and started the Creator line, they released X-pods. These sets were designed for maximum portability and imagination. To see what you can do with literally handful of bricks, under a common theme. X-pods eventually morphed into the Mini sets.
