That exclusive minifig is Dareth, a character in the Ninjago TV series.(http://ninjago.wikia.com/wiki/Dareth) Many Ninjago fans are sure going to want this. You could temporarily call it, "Dareth vs. Nindroid" :)

I don't care for the theme and never watched the show, but the figure looks pretty cool. Too bad I never shop at TRU. Too expensive for my taste.

^ No. 30227 is a good example of several. 30196 and 40057 even had three minifigures.

This is amazing! After the Visual Dictionary minifigure turned out to be a regular minifigure from the sets, I was not expecting any additional new minifigures this year, let alone a minifigure of a character like Dareth who originated in the TV show and has never previously appeared in a set! The Dareth minifigure is a perfect likeness of the character.

For those who don't watch the Ninjago cartoon, the self-proclaimed "Grand Sensei" Dareth owns a dojo in Ninjago City, and if you can't tell by his title he's a real blowhard. When the Destiny's Bounty was destroyed by the Great Devourer, the Ninja went there looking for a new place to train. Inspired by their epic powers and costumes, Dareth decided that he would be "the brown ninja", despite having no real powers or talent of any kind. He is extremely proud of his collection of martial arts trophies, but in reality he didn't win any of them — they're fakes he commissioned to make himself seem more important. Despite being an unrepentent egotist and a bit of a buffoon, Dareth has a good heart and becomes a recurring character throughout the second and third seasons.

I'm glad to see that Ninjago is successful enough that Toys 'R' Us chose to have a Ninjago polybag as an exclusive. I know some people dislike Toys 'R' Us prices, but they have actually improved greatly in the past year or so — not only are certain sets not marked up at all, but for those that are, Toys 'R' Us stores now price-match their competitors (at least in the United States).

I am confident this set will make it to the United States, and I will be keeping a close eye out for it!

I have to scratch my head and wonder why it was released in the UK when the show isn't even legally aired there.

I've just bought the new Imperial Star Destroyer at TRU Poole in the South and nothing there, i wasn't even interested but looked at the Ninjago shelf too. I also tried having a look around for other random display stands, as is the TRU way for polys but still nothing yet

In any case, past episodes of the show ARE available on DVD in the UK (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ninjago-Masters-Spinjitzu-5xDVD-REGIONS/dp/B00GT3GDP8/), and for a while they were releasing the full episodes for free on the Ninjago website (though I don't remember if they stopped that before or after Dareth's first appearance).

Haha, I love Dareth form the TV show. I kind of hoped I could get a minifig of him (whenever my son wants to role plan Ninjago, I always say that I'll be the "Brown Ninja"), but I never dreamed it would actually happen. Awesome!

What will sell in Spain?

The show is aired in the UK now on Cartoon Network - currently showing the Rise of the Snakes season which Dareth first appeared in so releasing in the UK does make sense.

No polybag in TRU Bromley.

It's nice to see that TLG finally realize that their characters from the TV show aren't really difficult to be made since they don't require new parts. Let's hope that Misako and characters from other shows would also come.

@Dorayaki: I don't think it's ever been a matter of them being too difficult. But look at previous years: in 2011 the TV show didn't exist yet besides a single TV special, 2012 was already bloated with 35 different minifigures, and 2013 simply didn't have a big enough budget for additional minifigures, let alone enough sets to fit them into. This is probably the first year the LEGO Group has really had an opportunity to throw in these sorts of secondary characters in addition to the main character and enemy figs that were designed with sets in mind in the first place. I hope it might be a sign of things to come!

@Aanchir I understand that most action theme sets don't have the room for additional characters which TLG don't majorly market to kids. Some victims are only exclusive to TLM and Alien Conquest. Still in Misako's case, I think she is at least a fighting character that deserves to be in a set like her husband, while TLG just want to highlight the original Garmadon as the opening of this season showed.

I feel like this set may be a good investment because it seems relatively unknown and this Dareth character seems pretty popular from what I see in the comments above.

have got 3 on collection reserve in Brent Cross London store. Yes its spend £25 on Ninjago ONLy and get for free or £4.99 each. No other shops in London seemt o be showing any in stock yet. Either its slow getting them to shops or a shortage who knows

Ok picked up some at Brent cross today, just did the reserve thing on the website. Only just sawa couple sitting on a box somewhere as well, not really displayed as far as could see.
