So there are two new types of ninja suits next year? Female ninja? Nice architecture? Me likey!

By in Russian Federation,

Does it still produce? lal

By in United Kingdom,

The buildings all look interesting. So this theme is going to drain my wallet throughout next year. :) :)

By in United States,

I need the Anacondrai temple. That just looks awesome. An orange ninja? Gee, I hope this doesn't mean the show becomes more contrived. The Titanium Dragon looks good, if only for proof that our favorite Nindroid is (predictably) returning. And who are all of these weird Anacondrai cultists? Why are there human villains?

So, we're back to the snakes again... meh...

By in United States,

Really wish they would bring the spinners back. The game wasn't that bad once you got the hang of it and it was a cool was to get special figures.

Hey, the snakes are back. :) Looks like some interesting sets. I'll need to see them in person before making a final judgment.

Ok those tan snake skull helms are perfect for a MOC I've been wanting to do! does anyone else see "Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw" from Elder Scrolls? not being a Ninjago fan, I'm still going to be getting at least one for that tiny helm (and extra parts :P )

Love the mobile base. The windshield appears to be the same as the one from 70816, just clear grey this time. These don't look bad, but I've got my heart set on Age of Ultron and Speed Champions.

By in Germany,

I really like the gatling gun mechanism on Boulder Blaster (70747). Looks like 9 shots.

By in Canada,

Only liking what I see for minifigs: helmets and hair. So a no for me. Aka a good wait. Anyone else sense a Chi-ma connection with this?

By in United States,

^Ninjago's roots were skeletons, not snakes.

Well, it's nice to see minifigure detail and part counts, but these look pretty much like the prelims I've had for 2 weeks. But I'm impressed with how different the size of some of these is next to those preliminary pictures; I never would have guessed the Mobile Ninja Base was that big, not even when I recognized the 10240/70816 giant canopy.

Need white Pythor.

By in Canada,

So much to love in these new sets! It's great to see a new spin on the types of vehicles and architecture in the 2011 and 2012 sets. And having Anacondrai and a cult of their followers as villains is brilliant!

It's great to see that Ninjago has really regained its footing, with a wide range of sets at diverse price points, lots of great characters and costumes, and a great sense of continuity with earlier story arcs. That regained momentum will really work to the theme's advantage when the movie comes out next year!

And yes, a female ninja (Skylar) will be the answer to a lot of people's prayers! I'm curious what her story is. Maybe the dojo set is an indication that she's from another ninja academy. We WERE told at the SDCC Ninjago panel that the Ninja would discover other characters with elemental powers... maybe she's what they meant.

The brick-built head of the Titanium Dragon is great! It reminds me a bit of Falkor from The Neverending Story. The body is a more traditional Western dragon, but still looks amazing. Good to see lots of creativity in its design!

In the 70746 Anacondrai Copter Attack, the box reads simply "Condrai Copter Attack". Is this grounds for a name change (in the database), or is this a mistake on the box itself?

By in United States,

Good to see the UCS X-Wing canopy getting more use.

By in United States,

I love the snakes, they were so hard to find the sets because they were so popular. Glad LEGO realized this and now we have snake tribe people.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Thanks for sharing! An update on the situation- I emailed the place that had them today, but have not received a response yet on the issue.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Ninjas vs. snake cult? Intriguing... More so than any of the previous factors at least. Still going to pass, though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Can't wait for the White Pythor

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I like the idea of bring back snakes, but I want to know how because in the tv series, it was shown that Pythor ate his tribe to live. Why are there more anacondrai? Also when is the guys that's been announcing 2015 sets going to show the sets for marvel, I really really really want to see them.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Kjlord there aren't a ton of snakes for a reason, it's why we have the tribe people. I think it's neat.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

The snakes are back?

Dang it, I spent so much time and money collecting all 17 of the last bunch. But if there's an orange ninja (and a new dragon!), I'll grin and bear it.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

May get some for pieces, but they look great.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I feel like the titanium dragon price can't be right; I mean, 360 parts isn't worth $79.99, and with the Anacondria Temple, 529 parts can't be $99.99, right?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ok wait. I haven't been following the TV show or anything. What happened to the white ninja?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Didn't he post Lloyd's Jungle Raider as well?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Loved most of these sets but the listed prices seem very high--Titanium Dragon is probably the worst, but all of them seem out of line to me. If these prices are correct I'll definitely have to skip sets I'd otherwise have been glad to buy!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yes these sets are very pricey when looking at price per piece. This is ominous for all other sets if these prices hold.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

i'm confused. is this Chima or Ninjago? i might get one or two sets at a sale just for the purple and dark-tanned parts. I must admit that the new Ninjago sets are very ugly!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Welcome back pythor

By in United States,

Seems as if the leader of the snakes is Python and some cultist wizard-ish fellow, perhaps he raised them from the dead or (more likely) used something like the Megaweapon to create new ones? Also, one of the Overlord's final actions in return for Python saving him and (SPOILERS) swallowing the pill meant for the Overlord (END SPOILERS), might have been reanimating snakes and using Dark-Matter-esque substances to hypnotize the citizens into turning into cultists...

Argh, so many questions and possibilities!

Gravatar
By in United States,

There are some neat accessories for figures, but otherwise likely a pass. I've only purchased a handful over the years. Never really got into it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look fine, but at nearly $0.20 per piece in the database, if that is correct, they would be too rich for me!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm pretty certain all the prices are wrong so I wouldn't worry about them yet.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow, they look cool. I wonder if all the people wearing snake skulls are cultists or something. Anyway, I might get a couple for the minifigures and cool pieces.

Gravatar
By in United States,

If the DC sets are well-priced, then I think the Ninjago ones should be even better. No way are the Temple and Dragon near the rumored prices.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I kind of lost interest in this years sets, mostly because the villains were just dull looking and didn't differentiate themselves much from generic bad guy cyborgs. Honestly these sets appeal to me a lot more because of the Minifigures unique designs and I was a huge fan of the Serpentine back in the day.

The prices however for the piece counts make me cringe a little. I'm hoping those are estimates and will be a bit better priced for the contents in the sets. I do wish LEGO would re-visit the spinners though, it allowed you to collect Mini-Figures from the Theme without having to buy every expensive set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The prices are rumors based off of New Zealand sets lists and their prices. It's just guessing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They have pictures on Brickipedia of the 3 sets without pictures and another set that's not even listed here, just FYI. Seemingly more accurate prices, too.

Gravatar
By in United States,

There's only one set without pictures: Brainiac Attack, and Brickipedia doesn't have them.

Gravatar
By in United States,

First, Skeleton wave was okay.
Second, Serpentine Tribes waves were great!
Third, Stone Armies are alright.
Fourth, Nindroids ROCKED!
Now, Sucked! I don't get the point for these contents!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

No!
First, skeletons were :/, but nice buildings
Second, Serpentine were great (but too much vehicles)
Third, Stone army soldiers looked very nice and the ninja suits were really awesome
Fourth, only vehicles, bad ninja outfits (only the hairpieces were cool)
Fifth, AWESOME Serpentine soldiers and cool ninja suits and awesome shrines and nice buildings!
Welcome back REAL Ninjago!
