Summer TLBM sets revealed!
Posted by Huw,
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed four of the summer The LEGO Batman Movie sets, including the Batwing.
See them after the break and discuss in the comments!
Thanks to CM4Sci for the news.
70913 Scarecrow's Gyrocopter - $14.99
The Scarecopter first appeared in The LEGO Batman Movie: The Essential Guide and appears to complete the Gotham Energy Facility, parts of which have appeared in three of the sets already released. The helicopter is equipped with fear gas launchers on either side and Scarecrow himself is unique, although the minifigure wears the same headgear as that which appeared in 76054 Batman: Scarecrow Harvest of Fear but in a different colour.
70914 Bane's Toxic Truck - $49.99
Bane and the Mutant Leader are among Batman's most physically imposing enemies so it seems appropriate that Bane's truck dwarfs the tiny Batgyro. The off-roader includes a large multi-stud shooter which is loaded with Venom capsules and is complete with a large tank on the back. I particularly appreciate the presence of Osito, Bane's childhood teddy bear, which appears on a flag beside the cab.
70915 Two-Face Double Demolition - $59.99
The LEGO Batman Movie: The Essential Guide reveals that Two-Face has stolen an excavator from Falcone's Legit Construction Company, making reference to the dubious business operations of the criminal Falcone family. Half of the truck has been fitted with a variety of weapons while the other half remains pristine, much like the Two-Face minifigure. This version of Two-Face is voiced by Billy Dee Williams who portrayed Harvey Dent in the 1989 Batman film and the figure is designed to resemble him, with a neatly trimmed moustache and grey suit.
70916 The Batwing - $89.99
The Batwing has appeared throughout the numerous trailers for the film and is equipped with a tiny Batbuggy which can be deployed from the rear of the aircraft as well as spring-loaded shooters and disc launchers beneath the wings. This version of Harley Quinn is exclusive and she comes with a large hammer as well as a multi-stud shooting cannon.
A fifth, larger set has yet to be revealed but we will let you know when it is.
Update: LEGO has posted larger images on Facebook so I've added them to the database.

I believe that there are still some missing but that is beyond the point, that digger looks cool.
Yes, one more, we believe.
Oh good. I needed a batman minifig.
Awesome more batman whacky races, really liked the ones releases so far and will be getting these to!
^hahah, so true. Is that another part the to the power plant thing in the scarecrow set?
Oh Geeze Lego, stop releasing so many expensive sets that I want. Like that Batwing. At this point, I'd be very happy with Robin in a polybag.
Also, I notice no new Batsuits. Any guesses as to what exclusive Batman minifigure will be in the DVD release?
Ok, at first glance the girl at the side of the digger looks a bit like jyn erso in her Imperial ground crew disguise
Those all look fun, especially that Batwing.
Bane looks awesome as a big figure
Batman isnt using the new belt piece in the scarecrow set.
Huh. Not really that excited. I'd take the cockpit windscreen from the Batwing, other than that, there isn't much here I need or want. That mini Bat-copter in the Bane set is awful! We'll see when the part lists come out.
Bane AND Mutant Leader in one-set! These guys are arguably the toughest of all of Batman's rogue-gallery, and if memory serves me correctly, they are two of the only villains to defeat Batman one-on-one in open-handed combat, both breaking his back.
Still can't believe LEGO okay'd Mutant Leader from TDKR comic. A complete psychopath who endangers minors, incites public anarchy, rips the throat out of the mayor (with his teeth), encourages his followers to perform violations and murder mothers... he's up there with deadpool!
That Bane is sweet! I'm digging the new batwing too, and still think it's so funny that they made a Billy Dee Williams Two-Face (also, Batman's vehicle in the bane set is totally inspired by the whirly-bat... Yes that's a real thing...

The LBM series may be the first series of sets I acquire in its entirety.... The sets aren't perfect - that Batwing is awful bulky, especially compared to the BvS version or even the polybag - but the figs are so good across the board!
Still hoping for a Condiment King and a Gentleman Ghost!
@Fordtruckin I think the reason Batman is not using the new belt piece in the Scarecrow set is because it would interfere with the jet pack bat wings on his back.
I can't wait for these! They all look awesome.
Oh God, these guys are going to bankrupt me this year...
loving the batwing and bane big fig and his truck, wow...
So no Pockadot man or Hugo Strange in this wave? Could it be possible another cmf wave is in store for us? I would like to get those new justice league members.....
Also really have my fingers crossed for a UCS set.
I wonder if LEGO is saving some of the other villains and batsuits for a LEGO Batman Movie Minifigures Series 2. Not only are there a lot of Batsuits that haven't been released physically, there are also a lot of villains that haven't been released physically, like Polka-Dot Man, Condiment King, Gentleman Ghost, etc. Plus some Justice League and Super Friends characters who haven't appeared in sets.
These sets are definitely impressive, but I will wait until I've seen the movie to decide if any are must-haves.
That Batwing would look great as a random SW ship, w/a couple of small mod.'s. I'm not sure if the Bane bigfig looks cool or like a deformed hunch-back. The Hunchback of Notra-Bane :)
I need that Harley.
I'm a Marvel collector, but dang! These Batman sets are so cool! I might have to take a ride on the dark side next month.
This movie seems to be little more then one gigantic set-proliferation device. Even more so than the Lego Movie. They do look cool, though.
Looks really good !!! Especially the Scarecrow's one which is also inexpensive
Black Thunder there is one hell of a batwing. way beefier than other iterations, like its a full blown carrier not just fighter
@Sparky Ham: honestly, they shouldn't make any of the Batman villians in toy form given that logic, as all of them have done pretty terrible things. Obviously some villians are wackier than others, but the main bad guy Joker, well he's done his share of bad things too. I understand where you're coming from, but you also have to remember all of the characters are being put in a fun and kid-friendly light for this movie.
Great sets overall. The Scarecrow one is simply spectacular. One of the best of the theme I think. Likewise the Two-Face set is great, if anything because it continues to give us more GCPD officers. I absolutely love the fact that this theme is giving us so officers--and they're all unique people too.
Bane and Batwing on the other hand, need more figures. The Bane set is passable with three figures (begrudgingly), but at $90 and "three" figures, the Batwing is unacceptable. There's only one new figure for crying out loud! I'll end up buying (arguably, the best version of) Harley on the aftermarket for some huge price instead, because it'd be cheaper than dropping a crisp $100 bill on another black bat vehicle that'll get parted out anyways. I don't understand the point of that set, at all.
I love the new styling of the old characters.
These sets from the movie continue to impress.
Observation: there have been no "real" items like the Kragle in any of these sets. I've been curious if Batman would also travel to the real world like Emmett did. The sets seem to suggest no (which is fine--duplicating the shock of Emmett in the real world would be hard).
Oh man, I need all of these.
These look great, but in the end I just want some of the figures (and no I don't mean more Batmen). I will have to see what is cheaper, the few figures I want or the full set (sometimes you'd be surprised).
I agree, $90 for 3 figures is steep. You'd think there would be someone else in that set, but then again, you could say they could include an extra figure in most sets. There is no rhyme or reason.
The movie is being made for profit, so LEGO will make sets to cash in on it. I think it was ~$800 for the first winter wave, so adding in these sets pushes that further. And if there is still another larger set to be revealed...
The Bane and Two-Face sets seem WAY too over priced. $40 for each would've been much better. I love the batwing and scarecrow set though!
I like the look of the Batwing, but there's no new villain minifigs here, so I'll pass on all of these.
I really hope there will be a set or a not-too-hard-to-obtain polybag/DVD/bluray release featuring the Batriot suit. And I'd laugh if they release the Leprechaun-batsuit thing for St Patrick's day haha. Or maybe that one is a Christmas elf?
If those images of the minifig villains for the second wave was correct, then I think we all know why the last hasn't been revealed.

Why does that Batwing have only one seat? Oh wait ...
I collect Lego Batman villains... but the number of sets they are releasing for this movie is way too much for me. The problem is I only want the minifigs and not the absurd vehicles. It's just too expensive to try to collect these minifigs, I'm out.
I already have most of the villain sets (just need Freeze and the Balloon one), but I want to get the whole collection if at all possible.
I wonder if I set up a gofundme so I can get all of these sets would be successful (or ethical LOL) ?? :)
I know the TLBM has come off the back off the success of David Arquette's Batman in the TLM, but it would be pretty cool to see a Lego Marvel Movie. The XBOX One Marvel game was pretty awesome combining so many characters from the Marvel universe - a movie doing so would be so cool!
@chrismajor2124, Batman flies the Batwing while Robin rides the buggy that emerges from the plane's rear. Yes, Robin's new secret identity is... Guano-Boy!
Seriously, I quite like the Scarecrow's Gyrocopter. I'm hoping it will be £12 in the UK.
Maybe the Black Thunder has more figures that will be shown closer to its release when people have had a chance to see the movie? I think I want to get that one either way. I like that they've shaped it like the Nolan Batman logo when viewed from the top down. All sets look pretty good. I'll get the smaller ones first and wait for discounts on the bigger ones.
Hope Polka Dot Man is revealed in a set too, along with the other (possible spoiler) characters previously revealed in that minifig villain article.
Bigfig Bane and Two-Face based on Billy Dee Williams from 1989 Batman movie, I'm in!
Batwing could have used another selection of minifigs, I'm out!
Batbuggy reminds me of the go-cart Robin had in the live-action 1960's TV series, I might be back in...
Not sure if I want any of these. I often set price limits. The gyro copter is decent for a small banged up helicopter. Nothing really new, though I dig scarecrow. Not sure what to think of the truck. The minifigures are good, but what the heck are the builds? I really dig the weird two face vehicle, as it looks marvelously wacky, plus has decent figures and an awesome cycle. Batwing is interesting, but not really sure about that one
Scarecrow in a cheap set! How wonderful!
Wow finally a decent digger. Am looking for one to include in my Modular-scene (as a tool for paving etc); guess I will find the building instructions, and order parts for the "civilian" side in yellow, twice. :)
