This guy looks like one of those mutant bayformers that says a bunch of racist stuff and gets way too much screen time.

I don't know why, but I kind of like this guy.

Sure, he has a bunch of exposed connector pieces, and very little in the way of body, but it works for some reason.

Also, I had no idea that head piece existed, and now I want to find a use for it.

By in United States,

I have this one. Now that I think about I probably have 90% of the breakout villains and my brother has the other. It’s a great set for what it is. It’s a fairly basic build but it’s really cool. Probably my third favorite Hero Factory Breakout villain only second to Speeda Demon and Core Hunter.
XT4 is extremely hard to pose to because the feet are attached using the knee/elbow joints instead of the normal ones and it doesn’t look right even if you get close to posing it like the instructions or that render. Unlike Umarak the Hunter from Bionicle G2

... I don't remember this set from Fabuland or Scala.

Earlier versions - XT 1-3, XT XP, XT Millennium Edition, XT for Workgroups, XT Mobile - are best not mentioned

Ok I get it I messed up about last RSotD and said things I shouldn’t have. But the truth is I really don’t like Jack Stome because it feels like a downgrade of everything. And I probably deserve all that.
Also hero factory was the first theme I got into and one of my favorite themes until invasion from below.

XT4 quick lore!

XT4 were series of mass product factory robots. The Legion of Darkness kidnapped one and reprogramed it to serve their evil needs. It was arrested by Hero Factory but escaped during the mass Breakout, only to be recaptured Julius Nex

Why Invasion from Below? Is it because they changed the size of heroes, the story, etc..? I loved the figures, but the rest wasn't too interesting for me.

The figures were cool but the mechs and villains just didn’t feel like hero factory and the mechs looked awful. If they kept with the classic CCBS heroes and made bikes and even jet packs like in rise of the rookies, Breakout, and Brain Attack then the theme would actually look cool. I know that would probably get repetitive but in my opinion no matter how big the mech was they just all looked the same.

Oh, Jack Stone really was a step down, but we're not going to let them forget it until the last set gets picked.

By in Turkey,

Now this is interesting. I wish that antenna wasn't so fragile. I happened to snap a couple accidentally in the past.

By in Canada,

Having identified a couple dozen Mixels from a recent lot, I can say that to my eyes this looks like an overgrown, mutant one. It even has similar colouring to some of the ones I processed.

@lego_lord Snap? I have tons of bent and bowed ones, but to my knowledge none of mine have ever broken. Was it the colour?

> Characters look like mutant Bayformers
> Racist connotations to the ending of Invasion from Below (the “Heroes” commit mass genocide on a race that was just defending themselves after being encroached on by the city for resources).
> Got way too much screen time (at least one special for every wave which I can assure you a lot of people lost track of).
Hero Factory = Bayformers confirmed

Now I’m getting Treehouse of Horror flashbacks:

“Here’s your problem buddy; looks like someone flipped the switch to ‘Evil’!”

It was a very old piece on 6833. I guess it became brittle by time.

Funny that you mention it, but XT4 And Nex were some of the only ones from the wave to NOT get featured in the TV special released that year. It was already very crowded and constantly had to switch between characters to feature them all, so that much was to be expected. I recall the same went for Core Hunter and Bulk 3.0.
So in a weird way XT4 here had too LITTLE screen time. I believe he was featured in flashbacks from books or something but I'm not a Hero Factory buff, just read about it on the wiki ages ago.

Apparently XT4 stands for 'Extra tough, 4 arms'. Imaginative.

By in Netherlands,

All of the 2012 Breakout sets were quite good, but the villains were all very creative because of their non-humanoid builds. This is a great example of those villains, even the small sets were very creative in their limited parts usage.

Now I can't unsee it, XT4 is the ugly out-of-character Bayformer interpretation of 8755 Keetongu!

@Lego_lord:
If it was from M-Tron, that may have been before they switched to polycarbonate for transparent parts. Transparent parts of all types from those days were prone to cracking. Most of my transparent 1x1 round plates from early childhood had scalloped bases, as the material just couldn't stand the stress caused when levering it off a stud by pulling up on one side.

Makes me think of one of the robots from "Mystery Science Theater 3000", but...more 'aggressive' in his 'reviews'...:)

That's totally what would happen, too.

Not...really. They wear full-body, yellow containment suits. The fact that it has yellow accents, and only one eye, could certainly trigger an association, but holding them up side-by-side will quickly dispel that image.
