Double Insiders points and Scary Pirate Island available now

The ever-anticipated double Insiders points event begins today and 40597 Scary Pirate Island has also arrived slightly earlier than expected, with purchases of over £95, $100 or €100.
40597 Scary Pirate Island will be available until the 22nd of October, or until stock runs out, while double Insiders points will conclude on the 15th.
In addition, a selection of sets are on sale in Europe, notably including 30% off the likes of 10290 Pickup Truck and 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 1969, as well as 25% off 76248 The Avengers Quinjet. Select sets are on sale in North America, too. You can view everything on sale at LEGO.com here.

Just placed a £125 order and got three promos (40562 as well as the Scary Island and Insiders pack) plus double points. Great deal!
In 40597 the structure behind the shark's mouth uses a similar color scheme to the Fantasy Era 7093 Skeleton Tower. Possibly a crossroads of realms.
Double points and triple GWPs... that'll do nicely. Was aiming on the Himeji Castle or Tranquil Garden, but they've both dropped price a bit for Amazon Prime Day, so went for the Viking Village.
I got Eldorado Fortress, Scary Island, Halowe'en VIP fun pack, double points, and a FREE Mario polybag by redeeming 500 points. Woo hoo
Where's the Mystic Witch GWP? Wasn't that supposed to also be available for online orders?

Finally got Eldorado fortress - got the scary island, mystic witch, Halloween fun pack and redeemed £10 worth of points whilst earning another £15 worth! Overall not a bad deal methinks… happy days

Due to LEGO shop online proces here in Finland only worth getting exclusives so NINJAGO City Markets for me. Got the 3 GWP, inc Mystic Witch.
The witch doesn’t seem to be advertised in offers or on the banners yet but added at £115 spend
I bought 10318 Concorde and 21037 LEGO house and was kinda surprised to get 40608 Halloween Fun VIP add-on pack, 40562 Mystic Witch and 40597 Scary Pirate Island with them as well. And of course, double Insider/VIP points. Great deal!

Czech republic store - ordered Eldorado Fortress and got pirate, helloween fun pack and Mystic witch plus ofc double VIP points.
However for some reason I cannot find Mystic Witch to be mentioned anywhere that this is officially also given for free when certain conditions are met.
of course the purple airtanks went out of stock a day before the promos started overlapping...
I really hope they haven't gone out of stock forever as all sets that these parts appear in apparently go out of production by the end of the year. This was to be expected for the Lunar new year parade but cutting the production of a mainline city set to just 9 months is ridiculous.
Really bothersome how this has gone when all of the previous classic space helmets and corresponding airtanks had been really easy to get.
I should be getting 40597 Scary Pirate Island, 40608 Halloween Add-on Pack and double points.
If anyone in the UK wants to take Scary Pirate Island off my hands, please PM me (apologies if that's a violation of Brickset's rules). Pirates is not one of the themes/franchises I collect, so I have no particular interest in this set.

That's true but some of the Classic Space torsos are hard to get and always have been. I believe I'm correct in saying that the orange one was never available through Pick-a-Brick or BAM.
I have no interest in most of the discounted sets. So, no matter the great overlap of goodies right now, the cash discounts 3rd party retailers/amazon vs provide eliminate all incentive for me. I'll buy the pirate island on the second hand market.

One of the rare times that ordering on lego directly is a better deal than buying sets from other parties with a discount (if you buy the right sets). Ordered the viking village. Counting the double vip points you get a 14 euro discount, wich is roughly the same as the prices offered by other vendors. However this time i also got a vip pack and 2 great gwps. Thanks brickset for the heads up! :)
Yesterday went to the Lego store and got 2 polybags (Halloween and pirate). For this one island and double points just not worth it imho.
So I will waiting for the Black Friday gwp. I hope the rumors are true. :D

Heh. LEGO Customer Service is the best on planet, but I think it depends on who you get – the chap I spoke to this morning (albeit on chat not the phone) told me 'tough luck' but that I was welcome to place another order if I wanted it...(!) No big deal really (it's not a great set imho), but it's just that pesky FOMO kicking in...!
On a related point, is there any reason LEGO don't limit each GWP to one per account? This would help spread the goodness around to more people, and prevent regular customers getting multiples which, whilst admittedly nice to have, are basically unnecessary...?
Has it been confirmed the Mystic Witch is Europe only or has anyone in the US been able to get it?
10497 is supposed to be retiring at the end of this year, so this seemed like a good time to grab it. Plus 40650 to reach the witch threshold, plus some VIP points spent on one of the adventure rides - it's nice to get six things when only paying money for two of them!

LOL. Indeed, I get that. :-)
But, assuming there is only a finite amount of each GWP, from a CRM and Marketing perspective wouldn't it be better (for example) for LEGO to give five free VIP Add-On Packs to five different people, rather than all five to just one?
Of course the Dagobah diorama goes on 25% off sale and immediately sells out. Just my luck.
If 40562 Mystic Witch was available in the U.S. in addition to 40597 Scary Pirate Island then I would have made a purchase now, but I will instead wait another month.
Assuming LEGO doesn't deviate from what has become a consistent pattern, VIP weekend will be November 18 and 19, also with double points and stacking GWPs.
Last year had 5007685 LEGO Baking Set with $65 purchase (I think this was restricted to certain themes), 40564 Winter Elves Scene with $170 purchase, and 40563 Tribute to LEGO House with $250 purchase, as well as some solid discounts on some bigger sets and double VIP on everything.
There is a long-standing rumor of a particular castle GWP that interests me much more than than the pirates GWP, and I anticipate a higher minimum purchase requirement to get it.
May or may not have spent a disgusting amount of money to take advantage of the double points. Ah well. At least that guilt goes away when I’m clicking bricks together.

I didn't factor in any of the torso prints since black and blue helmets and tanks have been in sets recently but didn't have corresponding torso releases. Much easier to do decals of the space logo on blank parts anyway.
I already have 40562 from last year's promotion. so am not particularly bothered by it (apparently) not being available here. All I really care about is that 10320 will soon be on its way to me, accompanied by 40597. As for 40608, I was going to say that since I already have two copies of 40513, it seemed a bit redundant. Then I looked at the inventory and noticed it had glow-in-the-dark carrots. and 1x1 cones. Nice. GITD pieces are one of two reasons I got 60341, the other reason being I found it on clearance at Walmart.
Got the Alpine Lodge, Scary Pirate Island, another Halloween Fun VIP Add-On Pack, and 1300 points! Very happy, can't wait to build them…
I just ordered in the Italian store for €115 and I only received the Halloween bag and the pirate GWP... so no Witch! Why?
If I hadn't looked here I would never know it...
So...no witch in the US? Is it coming in a few days?
2 separate $350+ orders and only the pirate GWP x2, no witch or Halloween bag for New Zealand and maybe Australia too?

Witch is from €130 in Europe, if I'm not mistaken.
Before i read this i plumped for the Viking Village to get the Pirate GWP and double points. In the basket were the witch and the spooky add on pack.
Keep this up Lego and i may just buy more often from you!

My order was essentially for 41757, but I saw you can get that for £45 at Argos now ie. £30 less. So, despite the 2× points and pirate GWP, this order will be going back. What a palaver!
I had the witch in my basket this morning when I made a simulation but it's not there this afternoon when I actually want to buy, is there a set shortage ?

40562 was a rerun from last years.
It seems the remaining stock is now sold out
@jmeninno leftover GWP may differ in the different regions
Thanks for the answer. I like the halloween decorations but I'm not thrilled by the pirate GWP but the witch was cool and could have tipped the balance. I might wait for other promotionnal events like Black Friday or the December x2 Insiders points then :)
