LEGO horror-themed posters available from Insiders Rewards Centre
Posted by CapnRex101,
A collection of six horror-themed posters are available from the Insiders Rewards Centre, each costing 1750 points.
Each poster is limited to 5400 copies, measures 30cm by 40cm and features glow-in-the-dark ink. While exclusive sets are often the most exciting additions to the Rewards Centre, I think these posters seem fun, taking inspiration from common LEGO building experiences.

It would be fun to make them posters (2x3 tiles for instance) in a lego set, or as extra addition to some halloween themed sets
I can relate to all of these.
Hot damn, I feel attacked after shining my phone torch under the couch just last night looking for a tiny red dot.
I like all of them but 1750 is a bit much.
they are great but so many points to get them. i'll be sticking with saving my points for bricks.
Does anyone know how this works exactly? If redeem points, I get a code, which is valid for sixty days, but I need to add it to an order to get the item. Am I guaranteed to get the item if I order some stuff in November? Also, can you get redeem an insider rewards discount at the same time?
haha these are brilliant

That's the scariest thing about these posters.
Such a fun idea! Would love to see a Zombie Brick with teeth marks all over it....ew!

Yes to both. Getting the code will reserve you one reward for 60 days and discount vouchers can be used at the same time on checkout.
I was hoping for some interesting new art prints, but these are a bit pathetic. Painfully corny and I'd certainly want something bigger than A3 to justify being called a poster!
At double the price of other same sized prints, they look ready to be half price or less sell offs on Black Friday!
A rerun of the short lived Botanical or Winnie the Pooh prints would have been so much better than these!
I love these but if they were printed on a 2x4 tile or a glass pane to fit the 4x6 door frame, they'd be worth the points to me. Perfect for the Palace Cinema.
Pretty funny and relatable, love it!
Though "The Crooked Curse" basically tells why a brand with the motto "Only the best is good enough" shouldn't resort to stickers...
Loved them!
Yeah, I kinda love these.
The Vanishing Brick! Oh yes... grrr red sword pole - and it was the only one I had!
I do like them and I would like them all.
But for 1750 points a go there aren’t enough items in my wish list or enough justifiable dough in the coffers unfortunately.
So with my bottom lip hanging out because I can’t have everything I won’t even be getting one.
Aaargh!
I’ve experienced every single one! Those are pretty creative and fun, but I’d rather save my rewards points for actual cash back.
I disagree with the Crooked Curse tagline. Dismantling a set from 2010-15 with reddish brown parts is much more haunting than a wonky sticker.
They look nice, but not over £10 each nice. If they were downloadable I might use them as desktop wallpaper, but as with any activity type advertising, even the colouring sheets, cut out masks and halloween building ideas, LEGO wants to monetise them.
These are all really cool! I just wish they were 'minifig scale' posters, be it 2x3/2x4 tiles, or stickers for non-transparent glass pieces (like how they did The Lego Movie poster for Palace Cinema modular)
I am going to use the digital images of these posters to make custom movie posters for my 10232 Palace Cinema.
I like the idea...I mean they ALL resonate with me, but I DO NOT like the size! I'd be fine paying 1750 if they were only more poster size and less printer paper sized...

It is £66 worth of points for the set, plus you must place a further 6 orders to be able to redeem the vouchers. I doubt many will go for them at that price.
Very good idea and prints, but far too many points needed to redeem for them.
If these were downloadable digital files (which is what I thought they were before actually reading the article), I'd definitely be getting at least one new wallpaper.
"The Terror Below", I bet that's based on a true story...
@rslotb:
You cash in points to get a unique, one-time code. They only give out as many codes as they have items, so in theory there is one reserved for you. However, if their inventory is off, or some get damaged, last to redeem their codes will probably miss out (at which point they can call, complain, get their points refunded, and possibly get extra points as compensation).
To redeem the code, you have to place a LEGO.com order that includes at least one shippable item. One physical reward code of any type can be used per order (so you’re looking at six orders to acquire the full set). Multiple rebate codes can be stacked together, and on the same order as a single physical code.
The reward item ships as soon as the first item from your order does, even if they don’t ship from the same continent. _DO NOT_ order standard B&P, preorder items, or backordered items if you want to get the reward item in a timely manner. Order something that’s in stock, or order Bestseller B&P (even just a discounted keychain) to trigger that first shipment that will release your reward item for fulfillment, or you may find that you get bumped to the back of the line. In the rare instance that they do run short, that once again puts you at risk of missing out.
You’ve got 60 days to cash in that code, but it’s also a good idea to keep track of which items have sold out vs which are still available. If you ordered a lifestyle item (like the frisbee) and it’s showing that it’ll let you snag a second code for the same item, it’s unlikely to run out. Something like this, you might want to claim earlier, just in case.

Yeah, wonky stickers are entirely LEGO's fault; I like putting bricks together, not stopping that flow to stress over the one chance I get to place a sticker correctly.

"If anyone gets these, please post if they come rolled up, folded, or flat with cardboard backing to protect them in shipping. If folded or just a loose sheet, that is a deal killer."
It's only the same size piece of paper as all the other prints, so will presumably be shipped the same way.
I've seen comments from people in the US saying they've received prints in a card envelope.
However, in the UK all of my prints have come loose with the rest of my order, no protection whatsoever. All arrived in perfect condition, probably because they all had a bigger set they could be placed under.
So I don't know if it depends what warehouse it's coming from, or the size of the sets it's shipping with.

How about Poohneywise, which is Pennywise in a Pooh costume?
@2GodBDGlory:
Yes, there’s the fact that saving the image file directly will yield better resolution, and cleaner edges. But there’s nothing to stop you from doing that.
Kudos to whoever came up with these ideas and art. Brilliant stuff! The fact that they are glow in the dark makes me really want them. But, I'm not a limited edition wonk willing to pay through the nose to get something.
I love these and want all six. They had me at glow-in-the-dark. But I'm unwilling to part with the real-world equivalent of USD $80.77 in VIP points (or whatever they are now) to obtain the set. Not to mention the hoops necessary to jump through to actually receive all of them.
FOMO would overcome me. I'd either end up paying shipping charges on six small orders that don't meet the free shipping threshold, or overpay for sets I want, that will eventually be discounted elsewhere, just to make sure I actually get all six of them. Because you can't have just five. At most, I'd be willing to spend 3,900 points ($30.00) to obtain the full set in one transaction. At a minimum of $13.46 each, these simply aren't worth it to me.
I understand the marketing behind the rewards program process, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. Unfortunately, I will have to miss out on these very cool prints.
I want these posters for my room.
These are awesome! I had to get all of them but that points price certainly hurts :(
Where can we see which parts of these prints glows in the dark? Need more details please at these prices. And can't really market theses as posters if their dimensions aren't actually poster-size; these are prints.
Fingernails to separate plates?? Horror indeed!

Yo!
"30cm by 40cm"
Ugh, why does LEGO keep making their posters in A3 format? Can't they do some proper A2 or even A1 sized posters already?
What is this, posters for ants??

I didn't know you were a Judoon, @Ridgeheart ! (for those non-Doctor Who fans: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judoon )
It really should have been a six pack so you could just use one code…

Zoolander!
They could have done a spoof on Hellraiser, with a Pinhead full of old school black Technic pins....
Thank goodness for right click > download > photoshop > upscale > resize > print
For those that aren't aware, you can get higher resolution images directly from these posters' product pages on Lego.
Thanks for the alert. Really like these! I bought two. Crooked Curse and Vanishing Brick… and I NEVER spend my points!

That would work! CAD$17.50 for all six would be a good price for posters that size (heck, even CAD$30 would work). The need for 6 different orders in the next 2 months is also quite demanding on top of the very high price.

Like @curtydc said, you can always just print them out yourself.
Images downloaded, printed out, and already plastered all over my cubicle! :D
Thanks LEGO and Brickset!
Need to be double the size to be worth it.

Excellent posters, all of them are fun, I like the 50-60's vibes in it. Excellent. "The terror below" :D

The Revenge of the Cheese Slope's art reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock's' "Vertigo", whereas The Buried Brick reminds me of "Night of the Living Dead" / every zombie film ever.
hashtagrelatable
I appreciate the concept and would connect with it but 1750 points just breaks my suspension of disbelief.

What's special about reddish brown parts from that period?
Nice try LEGO but I'm saving my points for discounts

They shatter with a clatter.
(Also, so does dark red from that era).
