The most recent set i got this piece in: 41077.
This piece should be called the Minidoll seat, because they can't fit into ordinary seats.
9525 using this piece in it's first year is a bit of a surprise. The Designer must have been talking with the friends team.
I can't believe this is literally just called "Foot Plate" LOL
Now that is an efficient part name.
My apologies, but it in fact seems to be called Foot, Plate
Lego wants us to heed the dramatic pause.
Settle in, fit your feet to the Foot, Plate and press forward.
That's a weird-looking foot…
Most recent set I got this piece in: 41094: Heartlake Lighthouse
Foot, Plate? I don't remember it being on any Mixel feet, and I don't know what else would have feet of the same size.
Most recent and only set I got this piece in was 75104 Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle.
That's not a foot, nor do my feet have need for plates. I would accept panel as part of the description.
@Maxbricks14:
But minidolls can't sit on these, either. Their feet clip onto the center ridge.
@Randomness:
Technic figs. Hagrid. Jack Stone. Exo-Force robots. Not bigfigs, though, because their feet are much larger.

'At's nwot a foot. Now, this is a real foot 7412, or rather a big foot... actually a yeti. (same outrageously bad faux Aussie accent).
60431: Space Explorer Rover and Alien Life actually has those in front of the 2x2 minifig studded area, so you can seat minidolls in it.
Shouldn't that be "Plate, Foot?"
@Miyakan: This piece has been used in a number of Star Wars and other non-minidoll sets.
I groan a bit when I get these in used lots--I don't think I've ever used them outside their primary purpose (and have I ever designed something myself that did so?), but I have to admit that they do what they're supposed to.
This doesn't looks like the cab of a steam locomotive...
(cab = footplate, AFAIK)
I've been looking at buying a rowing machine and one of the factors in shopping for them is the footpads. How interesting that this should appear now.
Not being a Friends collector per se, does anyone know if they made a rowing machine?
Ohhhh, I get it now. LEGO was making an attempt at Cockney Rhyming Slang.
Feet = Plates of meat = Plates, after all.
Yup. That explains it.
I don't think I eat feet enough to require a special plate for serving them
These can have good decorative uses…

Go with the classic Concept 2 Ergonometer! As a former oarsman, I still think they’re the best.

Yes been told that’s the gold standard, but have a lead on a basement-dwelling Stairmaster HIIT at 1/4 the price.
This foot plate is about to be given the boot.
