Double LEGO Insiders points returns soon

Posted by ,

LEGO has revealed that double Insiders points will be available later this month, between the 20th and 24th of January.

As usual, the offer will apply on LEGO.com and in LEGO stores. We will publish a reminder when the promotion begins on Saturday.

I’m afraid spending for the hot dog truck finished me off for a bit.

By in United Kingdom,

The one thing I’m now looking to buy is 10305 but I will wait for a GWP or 2 alongside double points

Is the Year of the Dragon expected to overlap with the Double Points period? And how much is the spending threshold anticipated to be for that GWP?

I'm going to try and find 10328 Roses at a local LEGO store since it's on back-order online. Wish me luck!

One of my local store had tons of em, so you might have some luck there.

By in Netherlands,

I hope the Dragon GWP will be available as well, and then I'll get the Lunar New Year sets - the big dragon and the family reunion, if available.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I haven't been able to find 75354 and 75357 being offered below MSRP, so perhaps this would be a good time to get them.

I also have 75367 still on my wanted list, but I feel a bit uncomfortable spending close to €1000.

Chinese New Year 2024

Saturday, February 10

I just hope we don't got wait Feb, for dragon.

Gravatar
By in Slovakia,

Why does anyone buy on lego.com with those crazy prices anyway?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Waiting for Chinese festival gwp, though double points is tempting.

Expensive months so far, choosing to get sets to earn retro food truck instead of adding it to my long list of saved searches on eBay, which adds to points/pounds off marvel tower. In Feb there's the bricklink and the telephone box. Seems like I'm buying my birthday list at the moment.

Still hurtin’ after the holidays… Will be skipping this one!

By in Canada,

Practically every set I want I expect to eventually be 20% off at Amazon. Viking Village may be the only exception.

The only advantage of buying at LEGO.com is that they usually (not always) do a better job of shipping the set in such a way that the box doesn't get damaged.

some sets, usually just lego store exclusives etc, are cheaper than from resellers, those are only sets i buy from lego site, otherwise it doesnt make sense in my country also, many shops here has it like 20-30% cheaper than on lego store

For me the combination of:
- 20% cash back from Honey
- 5-10% in points
- GWPs
often beats other available discounts, especially for larger sets (which is the majority of what I buy). I time all of my many purchases from lego.com to make sure I'm maximizing points and GWPs. If Honey cash back weren't available, I wouldn't really buy much from lego.com.

By in Canada,

Perfect! I have the little red dragon and the auspicious dragon in my cart ready for the weekend. I am hoping that the CNY GWP will come available on the weekend, too. Thanks for the good news!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’ve saved up my money for the big one, I think I might finally buy 75313 AT-AT this weekend since I’ve heard it was retiring this year… though it’s so much to spend on one set that I may end up splitting the money into purchasing 71799 Ninjago City Markets and 10326 Natural History Museum instead. Regardless, I’m planning on getting at least one substantial set this weekend!

By in Germany,

I have no purchases planned at the moment.
Recently I changed from buying new LEGO sets to three different alternatives:

First, I have begun again to buy used sets on ebay that I missed out on during my childhood. 6951 was one such set, plus I bought a second copy of 6891, one of my favorite medium sized spaceships back then. Plus, black Spaceman. Always nice to get more of those.

Second, I bought quite a few new and used pieces (and parts for monofigs) on Bricklink. Just finished my dark turquoise monofig!

And third, I recently bought a couple of Super Mario minifigs on Aliexpress. From a knockoff manufacturer naturally, since LEGO doesn't even produce such figures (I have no clue why). The ones I bought look awesome, even the back of the legs are printed! I bought Mario, Luigi and Joshi. Top notch head molds and prints too, and all for just 1.30 Euro. One wonders how these manufacturers can do this.

There are a lot of sets that are not sold anywhere else, including even small sets

Small sets even as small as Xtra polybags during 2018-2021.

Most of the smaller seasonal sets around Valentine, Easter, Halloween or Christmas tend to be exclusives as well. (and some larger ones like Christmas Tree / Santa's Sleigh)

And then there are some other sets under the "Creator" line like Postcards, Land Rover.

Not going to list all the larger exclusives here, as their exclusivity can often vary a bit more between countries.

Timed exclusivity , or exclusivity to certain "partner" stores also happens from time to time.

PAB and discounted sets But I only buy when they also have GWP.
And all the other reasons allready mentioned

By in United States,

Am looking to pick up 76248: The Avengers Quinjet and 76218: Sanctum Sanctorum to catch up on 2022 and 2023 sets I want. Double points would be nice.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Everything I want is always out of stock or on backorder (pyramid, cantina). Not really interested in the dragon gwp either.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I have been waiting for a good opportunity to finally get 10312 Jazz Club Modular. I have yet to see it at any discount in any store, so double points might have to do. I also have a few insider reward discounts that I got for cheap during black Friday (and have to be used before the 60 day limit) so this was perfect timing for that. But it will be a (really) expensive start to the year since I'm currently also building a sim racing rig...

Gravatar
By in Latvia,

There's a bunch of things I'm thinking of buying - mainly 10305, 10320, 10327, 21343 and pretty much the entire 2024 space wave, but it's still an open question which of those to buy directly on lego.com and which ones elsewhere. Double points sounds nice, but I'm not sure it'll be enough to get me to pull the trigger on any of it just yet.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

In Canada it seems that walmart has sets for the same price (save for clearances) and Toys r Us are well more expensive so it makes as much sense for me to buy on the site and get dem sweet points. Ive got a list that i might go for:

Mr. Oz's space car
Tails Brickhead
Space construction mech x2
As well as a few CMFs to try my luck and get the Vampire Knight
Also considering Bowser's Muscle Car

So this will be my buget well blown for toys and figures for a while T^T

By in United Kingdom,

Assuming that the Year of the Dragon GWP coincides, as rumoured, I'm aiming on getting the 3 Lord of the Rings Brickheadz and the Mini Disney Haunted House.

Or, if there are more GWPs, The Natural History Museum.

(Last year's Year of the Rabbit GWP coincided with Houses of the World 1 and VIP Add-On Pack GWPs so maybe the 1st Ninjago mini GWP is on the way?)

Exactly the same here. I've been saving and picking up extra work for either the Falcon or AT-AT, the Falcon is currently decently discounted on Amazon, but with the AT-AT retiring this year, it may come first...

By in United Kingdom,

I've been saving points and Amazon rarely do the discounts when I'm ready for them, plus it's easier ordering online than going out when you live in the countryside and DPD treat parcels better than the post or other couriers and I can track them and know when they will arrive, Amazon can't be trusted to turn up until dark or at all sometimes.

That's interesting, for me its the opposite. DPD deliver to the wrong address, or not at all, with Amazon being one of the few couriers to consistently find us

A good time to get a few 2024 City sets.

Gravatar
By in Japan,

There are a few sets I've got my eye on, namely the T-Rex Skull and Shadow the Hedgehog set but i really really hope they do a good GWP soon. The Lego Japan site offer points but i can't get points if i buy them in person at the Lego store here so keeping my fingers crossed. Also hope they'll have some redeemable sets with points.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Well...not really getting sets from 'the site'. mostly parts from PAB; so there is that...however, I am of a 'split mind'; as I'd like to get the Burger Truck and the Sailboat...but I'm more leaning toward the two spacecrafts from SPACE...yes, you have to spell it like that...The only thing I think is disappointing about SPACE is: no larger ship, like a transporter or freighter/cargo ship. I mean: I like the Rovers (You got: green alligators. and long-necked geese...I'll stop:)); but what if something needs to be moved off planet? or even on a massive distance on planet...TLG needs to get on this...

I’ve got my eye on Temple Of Doom, an instant saving!

We live not far from one of the dpd depots, so I think that helps. I don't know what happens with Amazon, the drivers always leave if it takes more than a minute to answer the door, and when it's dark, we either don't get it with a note to say they have delivered, or it comes the next day. Haven't dared to order Lego from them for fear it won't arrive, though it was better at our last house.
