Review: 60410 Fire Rescue Motorcycle
Posted by SetToBuild,
LEGO City has no shortage of clumsy minifigs making a mess of their neighbourhood. Thankfully, 2024 brings another batch of firefighting heroes to come to the rescue.
Fire motorcycles are often used to manoeuvre through traffic with ease, transporting first aid and fire extinguishers to motorists in need. Similar to this set, in some regions, fire motorcycles are equipped with pumps filled with water and foam to speedily begin fighting a fire. Let’s go now to 60410 Fire Rescue Motorcycle, as it makes a rapid response to the scene of a barbeque gone wrong.
Summary
60410 Fire Rescue Motorcycle, 57 pieces.
£8.99 / $9.99 / €9.99 | 15.8p/17.5c/17.5c per piece.

This robust little motorcycle offers great playability for younger fans.
- Sturdy once built
- Awkward to assemble early on
- Basic barbecue design

Minifigures
The firefighter’s uniform design has been in use since 2021. However, the civilian’s torso has seen a few revisions and is a throwback to a design first seen in 6410 Cabana Beach from the Town subtheme, Paradisa.
All the firefighters in this wave have both headgear and hair for more customisation. Is your firefighter overdue for their mandatory break? Pop the helmet off and throw that hair back!
Scared expressions are my favourite minifigure emotion, and this one perfectly conveys, “Uh oh! I messed up!”
The Completed Model
A 2022 vehicle base element makes up the two halves of the motorcycle. Each side is held together only by yellow pins that the wheels attach to. I found that even with the 1x2 grill behind the seat, the assembly felt flimsy until the front slope was added. Once the motorcycle is completed, it feels solid and will likely survive a lot of play, but given the target age range, I’m surprised that it’s unstable during the build process.
The barbecue design is a bit too basic for producing such a large fire. I found it funny that the smallest set of the wave had the biggest flame element. What in the sausage is causing such a towering inferno?!
The extra pieces in the set offer a couple of extra dogs for lunch. One with extra carbon!
Conclusion
I’m glad to see that inflation hasn’t struck these 4+ sets just yet, but while £9 for an entry-level boxed set isn’t terrible for two minifigures, there are only 57 pieces. It would have been nice to see a couple of extra accessories like a traffic cone, fire extinguisher or a radio to set the scene better. Especially since there is an unoccupied clip on one side of the motorcycle.
I imagine that a four-year-old will get a lot of joy running the motorcycle down a hall or down some stairs to watch it tumble. After testing, I found that the vehicle held up well after some light thrashing!
The more time I spent with this set, I got to thinking: Where have I seen a big red motorcycle like this before?

I didn’t know that silver pipe was still in production. Wasn’t it last used in Hero Factory Invasion from Below?
Nice review. The charred hotdog made me smile.
TETSUOOOOOOOO!!!!.... YOUR HOTDOG IS ON FIIIRRRRE!!!!!
Nice review!
The motorcycle kinda reminds me of a Judge Dredd Lawmaster.
That bike is very well designed, definitely does not look like a +4 set, which is very nice
I don't think LEGO is doing a Judge Dredd set any time soon, sadly. A motorcycle built like that might just look OK with THE BAT-MAN and a huge cape flapping about on the back of it, but it looks a bit oversized for ordinary minifigures! It looks more like Duplo, but I can see how it makes a pleasing handful-sized toy for kids of the target age.
A clip to hold the sausage onto the barbecue would have been better though. Unsecured like that, it's going to fall off and get lost within seconds of starting to play with it.
Loving the Akira shot at the end!
Basically the same as 60318 but the helicopter has been swapped with a motorcycle!

There was a few recolors of that piece to appear in Hero Factory though.
The fact that this motorcycle is so bulky it can hold a water tank...
The burnt hotdog is a nice touch.

But under a different part name.
Fire department motorcycles are a real thing?
Such a big chunky motorcycle. I'm surprised it is not being ridden by Spiderman.
How can the barbecue design can cook an hot dog without any buttons?

They are indeed! I learned this while writing the article!
Bravo to those of you who understood the last image reference!
"Twin ceramic rotor drives on each wheel! And these look like computer controlled anti-lock brakes! Wow, 200 horses at 12,000 RPM!"
Regarding the huge flame: That's what happens when you try to Tim Taylor your barbecue.
