YES!! A Mario train!
Does 71436 have a new door mold? They look pretty good.
Chain Chomp in a new set? Heck yes!
Roy Koopa finally? Double heck yes!!
And LEGO MarioKart in 2025? TRIPLE HECK YES!!!
I love the train! It reminds me of 3D World, and the fun times my brothers and I had. I'm not sure how I feel about King Boo though. I would have preferred seeing him in a round shape rather than a solid block. I look forward to seeing how they tackle Mario Kart!
Finally roy. You can wrap up the line now.
In awe of the goombas with hats from the train, lil dapper chums
That haunted mansion seems like an incredibly good deal for its size.
Still no minifigures but this has to be the best Mario wave yet!
That tophat won’t save that goomba from being stomped by Mario.

They remind me of the doors in set 6059. Very interesting to see such doors return. I am not so much interested in Mario sets, but 71436 seems to have good parts for medieval builds.
The train looks great! And the addition of Roy will make some local kids (read: my children) very happy.
These would make great play sets, but I just don’t feel like fooling around with the digital figures!
I like how these feel more fleshed out rather than just being facades, though.
Big rounded doors are back, would be perfect for 10320 : Eldorado Fortress instead of the see through gates the original never had. (yes different scale but could certainly be integrated somehow)
Overall, the Haunted House could also work as a medieval building of some sort (probably more fantasy due to purple roof but it's not bad)
Minfigs, minifigs, minifigs! (practicing my manifesting).
Lego should practice keeping up with the Jones. As bad as the video is, I laughed at how it treats children as annoying impediments to true Lego enjoyment.
I also enjoyed how it shows the size of the train (makes me really want it), and also how LAME it is that it doesn't run on Lego's own train track. If kids are wondering why there's no track, perhaps you should too?
What's with the flanges on those train wheels? Are they put on backwards / inside out?

I don't know how to tell you this... But that's Bowser's likeness used on the train ;-P

"
Tiny/Without-Mushroom-Power-Up Mario & Friends are small, so the ginormous enemies would be actually in correct scale for them.
Goombas have gotten so adorable, with their little hats... you almost feel bad stomping'em!
Next time someone asks again where the tracks are and why the train wasn't designed to run on standard LEGO tracks, the clever marketing answer is "this train is magical and runs on the tracks of your imagination... or the floor". Problem solved! :))

Yep, definitely not gonna make Just2Good or MandRroductions mad at all. Because the best totally isn't good enough.
I expect someone WILL modify this to run on LEGO track!

It definitely looks like it. None of the "door, curved top" parts on BrickLink look like the ones in this wave. Neat to see an updated version of that classic, the most recent curved, wooden door (retired in 2019) seems quite a bit smaller than these.

Yep, looks like the usual flanged wheel but flipped over. It’s good to see them in a new color too.
Love the doors on the Haunted Mansion & Peach's Castle. Haunted Mansion look like a good parts pack for non-Mario fans like me. Hope to find it on sale eventually.

Why? How many (steam) locomotives did you see with dark red driving wheels? Seriously, they can recolor a specialized part that is only needed in one set, but can't match pins and axles for countless 18+ display sets?!
Good grief that video is really annoying
A Mario Kart set?! I won't have to be content with 71431 (which I still need to get) anymore! Here's hoping it comes with a https://brickset.com/parts/design-5215
Isn’t the reveal a little bit too early for an August release date? Those new door molds are awesome.

You're comparing apples and oranges. They deliberately avoid recoloring pins and axles in most cases because color coding them helps prevent them from being confused for other sizes, something that obviously doesn't apply to large and distinctly-shaped parts like these wheels.
Nice new dark red train wheels, and wonderful big doors than can be used for train sheds!
ROY!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!
Anyone else find it odd that Bowser's not in the Bowser train set?
Yay! More Medieval sets!
They look cool but when did King Boo become so angular?
@Ridgeheart said:
"That aside - that mansion looks great at any scale! Particularly minifig-scale! But also, other scales."
I have no doubt it would look great even sitting ON a scale!
I'm not so sure about being covered in scale, though. Mineral crust on LEGO can't possibly be fun.
Ahem. I completely agree with you. Minifig-scale structure was actually my first thought when I saw the mansion.
Edit:

Since 2020, actually!

If the Mario Kart set doesn't include the banana peel piece I will be very surprised.
Is it just me or do these sets feel like they have pretty good value?

Aren't those just bright red on the Mallard?
Haunted Maison as part of the Castle Village set with some adjustments?

Given the plot of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, there's a strong possibility that that Bowser IS the Bowser train set.
Nice to see the Koopaling lineup completed at last. I suppose we'll be waiting on those teased Mario Kart sets for Daisy, Rosalina, Wario, Waluigi, and any other characters we might be missing. Though at this point I imagine that list is getting pretty short. There certainly aren't any more Kongs I'd be interested in seeing, nor any that have appeared in Mario Kart to date apart from those we've gotten, unless you count Donkey Kong Jr.

Maybe he’s driving next to it in his car?
I really like the two different colored parabiddybuds. I think the train set hints to a new Bowsers castle set too. And if the goombas are dressed to attain a wedding, maybe we’ll get a Bowser wedding castle in the future? Or is it just his last castle on that tile?
I don’t know if i’ll be buying these sets, i didn’t get Mario sets in a while now
Nice to have the train wheels in a different colour. I hope they will produce some smaller wheels in the same colour!

Nope. Check out the top picture at the Wikipedia page - they are dark red.
I just wanted to say, I looked it up - the 0-6-4T (for tank) engine was a real wheel arrangement, but it was uncommon. The oldest working steam loco in the USA is this type of engine, and it runs at Dearborn Michigan's Greenfield Village (Part of the Henry Ford Museum)... though the 1873 loco known as Torch Lake looks nothing like this absurd monstrosity!

In the game it originates in, the Bowser Express is a 2-6-4T—this set seems to have omitted the front two wheels, which would've been partially concealed behind the large cowcatcher.

Ok, that turns it into an Adriatic - type tank engine, which apparently was actually more common as commuter engines and were rare with tenders... so it not having one actually makes sense! (I still think it's the oddest shrouded steam loco either Man or Goomba have ever built!)
For those curious few who want to learn more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2-6-4
So I finally got around to watching the video, and I can't help but feel that whoever wrote the script for it was channeling certain fans regarding Roy.
Wow King Boo's Haunted Mansion! That's a Halloween purchase I think. Seems like a good value.

Actually, during the German Länderbahn phase (Epoch I, from 1835 to pre-nationalization around 1920) a lot of steam engines had dark red wheels - most of the Prussian ones for example. Bavarian locos otoh had green wheels. Things were a lot more colourful back then compared to post-nationalization, when Deutsche Reichsbahn and later Deutsche Bundesbahn had black locos with bright red wheels as standard.
These are starting to look more and more like traditional playsets, and less like the Wave 1 sets. Makes you wonder why they didn't start with this style.
