Invisible Hand approaches 10k
Posted by glenbricker,Quick on the heels of Wayne Manor, the Invisible Hand is closing on the "achieved" status.
Like the Birds project, this is one of the models that has been a part of Cuusoo/Ideas for years. LDiEgo has stood as one of the early examples in Cuusoo on how to make a really professional looking presentation with photo-realistic rendering, detailed diagrams, and well thought out dialog.
I am very glad to see this project entering into the review well in advance of Ideas's new deadlines.
Update: Invisible Hand has reached 10,000 Votes.

Congrats to the creator for hopefully finally seeing it hit review. It is a wonderfully built and detailed model.
Sadly I don't think this one will make it to a production set. The review team will look at sales data from the not un similar Malevolance and balk. That will be compounded by this projects time from creation to 10k. I think both data points will leave them to conclude there is weak interest for a large scale Separatist Capital ship in the market right now. Regardless of how good the actual project is.
^Faefrost, you always have well thought out reasons for everything. I enjoy reading what you have to say.
My input was simply going to be the "inevitable discovery." They won't release it since they already have SW license and may (or may not) produce it in the future. Plus, isn't this clone wars?
I think even if the ship itself passed, that number of minifigures would not. Plus, I think the idea behind IDEAS is to keep more affordable, broader interested topics. This is really niche, to me.
@Sethro3 The invisible hand is from episode 3, the malevolance is from the clone wars.
I've been waiting for this set to get 10 000 for ages and I'm very very happy to see it is finally this close. Lego has previously focused on the flagships of the original saga and never has it had one of the same size based on a droid ship. Being a massive fan of not only grievous himself but also the entire droid army, this is a match made in heaven. Ok yeh we did got the malevolance but it was hopelessly small compared to previous flagships and it is also from the clone wars. The malevolance however, is from the films, is a much nicer design in my opinion and this one would be the perfect size.
Having said all that and still remaining hopeful, I'm afraid I can't see it passing review. Lego has never chosen an ideas set that is from a lisense they already own and a set this size with star wars' current prices would be terribly expensive. Not to emtion lego would likely scale it down to the dissapointment of the malevolance again :(
great MOC, 0.0% chance of being made under the "Ideas" (Cuusoo) department.
I thought it had previously been stated that ideas from lines for which LEGO already hold a licence had zero chance of getting past review anyway?
for some reason they refuse to say that absolutely, although I think many/most of us suspect it is an unwritten rule
Not to nitpick, but the Birds Project was only on Cuusoo for a little over a year and a half (May '12-January '14).
@Dougts I hate to admit it but you are right, Cuusoo/Ideas did/will reject things like this.
