See you in Skærbæk?
Posted by Huw,The biggest LEGO fan event in Europe takes place in Skærbæk on the west coast of Denmark next weekend, 28-29th September.
Around 1,200 AFOLs from all over the world descend on the small town, some 80Km from Billund, for a long weekend of displaying, seminars, presentations, workshops, games, shopping, trading, and most of all, socialising.
This year myself, Chris (CapnRex101) and Jonny (SetToBuild) will be in attendance. Will you be there too? If so, let us know in the comments and come and introduce yourself. I'll probably be around the GBC display most of Saturday and Sunday during the public display.
We look forward to seeing some of you there!

My family and I will attend the event for the fourth time, and are looking forward to it every year.

Be sure to come and say hello!
I'll be there!
I would be really interested to see this one day, but having just spent a holiday on Usedom island (with more than 9 hours of driving on the way back), I know that Denmark, being even further away, is out of the question.

They do have airports in Denmark, you know :)
Well I live thousands of miles away, so no.
It will be a second time for me. I have my 1x8 brick to swap this time!

Every year when I see the article about Skærbæk I _always_ misread it as Schaerbeek (as one of municipalities of Brussels) and I think how close it is. Then I realise that it’s in Denmark. I should know better by now

I don't know where you live in Slovakia, but Bratislava-Schaerbeek or Bratislava-Skærbæk are both around 1200 km by car. Coming by plane and using public transport to get to Skærbæk will probably take the same time as the drive.

The location in the post is not the place where I live. Which would be Belgium :-)
Having just completed the LIT 2024, session 5, we are enthused for Skærbæk 2025. It was certainly a hot topic of discussion with our new Danish friends at The LEGO House and the LIT TOur team... zero chance of attending this year after such a HUGE spend in getting to Denmark and the holidays around either side. It was interesting to hear that the DS2023 went for a high price at auction, ~DKK7,000! I doubt I could part with my LIT competition win DS2023... not in the near term anyway. We'll see many of you in 2025 I hope.
