Random set of the day: Ferrari F1 Pit
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 8155 Ferrari F1 Pit, released during 2008. It's one of 25 Racers sets produced that year. It contains 482 pieces, and its retail price was US$39.99/£24.99.
It's owned by 473 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $139.00, or eBay.

That thin sticker across the two rail plates at the top of the truck might be the most diabolical thing I've ever seen in a LEGO set.
They should do something like this for the Speed Champions polybag-sized cars.
Lego's ripoff Hotwheels.
Wolf scroll, wolf see racecar set, wolf keep scrolling
A coincidence, as the F1 Speed Champions sets for next year just got leaked, one of which is a Ferrari!

You took the time to comment though.
convenient its an F1 set the day the upcoming ones leak
Looking at the set, I think a smaller garage would have been more economical.

Isn't there always a Ferrari?

I was going to say the exact same thing.
Coincidentally, yesterday I decided to put my 8674 up for sale to fund future purchases. It's not up yet but will be soon if I've got time.
I have this set. I will tell, if you whine about speed champions stickers, it wasn’t better before. Countless 1x1 stickers, stickers that overlap pieces and so on. Add to that they will all start to peel off very soon
It's interesting to see a 5-stud wide trailer!
The tiny turbos subtheme wasn't perfect, but it was great in how economical it was. The Ferrari subtheme wasn't economically priced, but at least they were detailed...
And then there's these two sets. Wel, it's cheaper than the 2005 full-sized Ferrari truck or the 2006 full-sized Ferrari garage. But to me these did feel a bit missing the mark. That said they brought some variety, which is good.
Except that the truck and one car made up almost the entirety of the other, smaller set.
But I digress, these were good for what they were.
A strange parallel universe where the mini-fig never existed.
Why there is no news on new f1 line?
I dont care either. Just curious.

It’s still November.
All of the new speed champions F1 sets are leaked right now!
All this comments section has told me is that Niels B. Christiansen himself is going to appear in my house and force me to buy 10 more F1 speed champions cars... Guess I better go put up another shelf :D

I didn't even notice that! And to add insult to injury, it's a STAMP that goes across pieces that aren't directly connected!

Yeah Speed Champions doing a Ferrari is about as surprising as Ninjago doing dragons.

I understood that reference, although I'm pretty sure it was "ugly bags," not "fleshy bags."

Eh, I can’t remember the number or name, but I know there’s at least one set with a B model where the stickers placed on the A model need to be removed first. Except, you know, they’re not reusable stickers.
And there’s also 5005738.
It would be fun if we get a f-1 cmf series. With a lot of small cars in all kind of colors

That sounds familiar. Still, to have a STAMP over pieces that aren't even connected, and very thin at that, it's pretty rough. Having to take apart your set and destroy the sticker for an alternate model is up there though.
@MCLegoboy:
There were also old Technic sets where you had to cut flex tube to length, but the B model needed different lengths than the A ‘model.

5510's instructions depicted the front license plate sticker on different pieces from the A model than it was on the B model, but the instructions didn't actually say to apply it there. But if you applied all the stickers to the A model, you'd certainly have to remove some to build the B model. I only ever applied the rear license plate, the vast majority of which was on a single 2x2 inverted slope, so it didn't have to be removed when disassembling the set. That sticker was still holding strong when I rebuilt the set in 2018, coincidentally shortly before it was chosen for RSotD. And yeah, that sticker sheet is hilarious. According to the database, "406 members own this set, 159 want it." I have to wonder what the people who want it would like to do with it. But further proof for my belief that no set listed here isn't desired by at least a few people.
@TheOtherMike:
The sticker roll is replacement “ammo” for 70830.

Or it might have been pneumatic hose? Some sort of hose, but not the crinkle tube.

I'm well aware, but it just amuses me that they did a replacement.
With the new wave, it costs $210 to get the same stuff. Of course there are more cars, and it is upscaled though the comparison is still interesting. I think the new vehicles look better than these ones though the simplicity here is enjoyable.
Really wild that this came right before a barrage of F1 set announcements
