Your shirt is glitching
I quite liked that downtown set, provided a good boost to the City theme.

The hexagons kinda reminds me of the Star Wars Separatist insignia.
That shirt should be a museum.
Yeah, you read that right.
Lore: This kid's alone, and life is making him lonely. He should always go... Downtown!

The set he's from still looks modern. Oops, it was released last year? I thought, figures have to be from sets at least 10 years old to be featured >_>.

I think that's for RSotD. RMotD can be anytime.

Why did you think that? Loads of modern figures have featured in RMOTD. In the previous 10, only 3 are more than 10 years old.

Never payed too much attention to the minifigs featured, but had that random rule stuck in my head. Mixed it with the Random Set of the Day.
The almost void shirt.
This kid's face reminds me of Benny from Big City Greens.

RSotD draws from a pool of sets released 10-ish years ago. It gets weird because every 2015 set that’s large enough (min 10pcs) will hit eligibility on January 1st, regardless of when during the year they were released.
RMotD draws from Bricklink’s database. Whatever they define as a minifig is on the pool. Because this information is updated on a daily basis, any data that would remove a minifig from the pool is lost when this happens, so repeats are possible. Currently, the record for quick turnaround is just over a month since being released in a set for the first time.
