Talk about getting a complete package. I forgot about this one... hadn't really sunk my teeth into Technic yet and seeing sets like this make me regret that even further lol

This came out during my second Gray Age (I didn't truly have Dark Ages) but what a great collection in one box!

By in United States,

I wonder why they decided to sell all three vehicles together instead of separately-- I don't see a combo/super model. If it was, say, just the truck and the excavator, it would work as a playset (scoop up parts, put them in the truck bed, tip them out, etc.) but the loader makes that a bit more awkward.

(There are instructions for a scraper, but it doesn't seem to use the red or blue parts-- I assume the back of the box urges you to go online for another build.)

With the colors, it almost looks like an alternate of 42024, but the piece count and price don't match. (I haven't compared the parts lists, but I bet there's not much actual overlap.)

Anyway, neat set.

By in Turkey,

I find mini Technic sets very creative, but I wouldn't choose them over larger individual sets. This is a good one though, having all sorts of machinery.

Cool set! Sure, on their own neither of these is particularly impressive, but they complement each other nicely. That said, I agree that these could have been sold just as well separately. And if the B-model indeed only uses pieces from the loader......that's a bit disappointing.

Also, I can't help but notice that 2L beam on the excavator being at an angle....how did that happen?

What comes up, must come down!
Yet my feet don't touch the ground!
See the world spinning upside down,
A mighty crash without a sound!

Inside the right tread? Computer-generated instructions may allow intersects. The exterior of the left tread seems to indicate this is impossible, as you can see the matching axles and pins aligned vertically at both ends, and the stuff they’re attached to doesn’t looks like it should be able to move enough to cause that angle legitimately.

Nice to see Scoop, Muck and Lofty still getting work even if they seem to have ditched Dizzy

Now that's a set! Three vehicles that would probably go for $25 each combined in one with a $5 discount, and you get a lot of play value and story potential.

Construction vehicles, yes...but I don't see a "Crew"...must be 'on lunch'.:D

Wow! This set is absolutely amazing! It would be cool if they remade this set and made the vehicles like we see Technic today and it would easily become a hit. I would definitely buy this set if it were around. My fav vehicle is probably the bulldozer thing (idk what it is called, sorry). Great set, 9/10.

It indeed does, though it's a nice update of/throwback to 8453.

The scraper in this set actually went through several iterations - the one on the box differs from the one in the instructions, and then the instructions had to be changed when the 3L worm gear was retired.

Has it really been 10 years already? (Nearly 11)

This set feels relatively new to me. I guess the last few years of technic kind of compressed together for me

I can feel your every rage,
Step aside, I'll turn the page,
Breaking through your crazy maze,
Like a laser beam my eye's on you!

@Lance_McCormick:
As its name suggests, a front-end loader is also capable of filling dump trucks. The excavator would be used when you’re digging a hole, while the loader is more useful for transferring material from a stockpile. In Michigan, these are being used to fill salt trucks during the winter, but they’d also be used for gravel or sand during the warmer months.

There are a few different reasons to like this set, but the colors are the primary one.

Back in the day when the Technic theme still was a credit to its name.

I thought it was a City set until I zoomed in.
