Look at the disco ball on the top of the tower. They mustn't have taken it down from the New Years Eve celebrations.

By in Australia,

I loved how a lot of these Knights Kingdom sets had a real video-game feel to them, as playable levels with traps to avoid and obstacles to overcome, before you reached the goal.

So, 70802 was the only TLM set to get picked for RSotD in the first year they were available. To quote that set's antagonist, "Darn, darn, darn, DARNY DARN!"

Be grateful we even got one.

Not in this set, but I actually got some parts from Danju to help with some Wolfpack Renegades projects I've got lined up. Assuming they're in stock when Pick-A-Brick Standard comes back online for America...

We're waiting for that mystic orb to drop.
Still just under an hour to go on the East Coast.

It doesn’t drop for another half an hour in Eastern. And then there are still five time zones to go before 2024 is officially completely over.

@TheOtherMike:
This is the first RSotD for next year. TLM’s status has been sealed for nearly 26 hours.

Knights Kingdom 2 was hated by castle fans when they were first released. Me, being around 12 at the time, was right in the target range. and by the third wave, even the hardened castle fan had to have agreed it improved. Perhaps not in set design, but in overall tone. Less colourful knights being the main thing. The builds weren't bad, a product of the time. This set is pretty cool. I got it a few years ago for Christmas from my brother.

I have huge nostalgia for the KK2, and I really think it was ahead of it's time. A medieval aged, fantasy theme with a loose story, some lore, cool locations (Citadel of Orlan, while not a great build, is an AWESOME set, and I will die on that hill.) Alas, I miss KK2.

He’s just…partying really hard. Lampshade probably fell off his head a couple hours ago.

By in United Kingdom,

I didn't know any of this later Castle stuff, other than some 4+ sets my son was given. The spiked gates and the shields in this set are good.

The time zones in Morcia are wild. Their New Year somehow starts before but also ends after everyone else’s

By in Netherlands,

I think Shadiversity will have some issues with this castle design....

By in Germany,

Somehow this reminds me of the C64 game 'Bruce Lee' that I played for countless hours as a kid. I have always loved jump 'n run games.
Aside from that, I have some parts of this wave that I got in a huge job lot from ebay, and what a lot of awesome pieces, especially the chrome and speckled chrome ones.

Oh, THIS is the set where I got that piece from! I just found it among my collection the other day and had no idea which set it belonged to, since I only have the one.

It's a pretty piece, though!

The end of the power rangers.
Nice decent castle and a great Falcon King

Don’t forget that KK2 was released immediately after the change from old grey to new grey. Castle collectors were perhaps the most impacted (and annoyed) group of AFOLs by this change. That may have influenced the acceptance of KK2 theme, old and new greys mixed in one castle build was not exactly a popular option

By in United States,

The strangest thing about KK2 Year 3 is that sudden time-jump. The first year introduced our heroes, the second year seemed to be fairly soon after, and then... bam--NEXT GENERATION! It's as if you had A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back--and then the Force Awakens (which, actually, WOULD have made the Sequels better, but I digress).

The theme had definitely improved, but as a "grown up" (19 year old) Castle fan at the time, I was much too distracted by Vikings to get any of the year 3 sets.

In my case it was the action figures that take the first place in most annoying.
I bought a few second hand lots and that gave me an overdose of the action figures I couldn't use of sell.
The heroes stand out to much to use with my other knights.
8781 is just crappy, hard to improve such a first impression

By in Netherlands,

Love this one. Granted, it barely had an interior. But it's the perfect mysterious mcguffin holding tower. Said mcguffin was an chrome blue instectoid half sphere. Cool stuff. And there's even a blacksmith in there :)
And a few traps. And a proper courtyard (a small one).

And a minifig scale version of 8702 Lord Vladek complete with the catapult!
