...And DB sticker (front), and DB sticker (side), and DB sticker (Back).
Now that's a STAMP and a half, plus a few more.
You know LEGO designers were bored when they named the set after its stickers.
Loosely based on the Henschel shunting locomotives of the era?
Been working on a Marklin of roughly the same vintage. It's an oddity, as it was a cheaper version found in cheaper sets--two axles (one powered) compared to three (all powered), no lamp, and no glazing in the window. Also kind of under-powered due to the 6x2 setup (and dried out traction tires).
I am pretty sure this is not it's official name.
But which end is the…you know what? Nevermind. I’d rather run the Shellraiser.
This set is listed as 723-2 in the Brickset database.Similar engine 723-1 from a few years earlier - without stickers - has been RSotD in 2023.
"Some people are Diesels. F* me! Those are trouble!"
Coughs and sneezles spread diseasels...
My 12 year old wanted that set so badly!
DB! Donkey Bong!
Quite clever for its time the way the metal studs on the base pick up the current of the metal track without worrying about pulling a heavy battery goods carriage or batteries dying after a couple hours.
