Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past announced!
Posted by CapnRex101,LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy was released on Disney+ last September. The series was very well received on the whole and I enjoyed it, especially for its many references.
The series concluded on a cliffhanger and a second season has now been confirmed at Star Wars Celebration, titled Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past and coming on the 19th of September this year.
Little has been revealed about the story, but the poster gives some hints. The series will evidently mix scales, featuring 40539 Ahsoka Tano and 75371 Chewbacca alongside Sib Greebling and a minifigure version of Jaxxon, a classic character from the original Star Wars comic. I really hope that minifigure makes the leap, or should that be Lepi, to physical form!
What did you think of the first series of Rebuild the Galaxy and will you be watching the second? Let us know in the comments.

Just a technical note: When I click the poster, it doesn't popup on top of the page as usual, but instead links directly to the image.
OT: Chewie looks creepy AF....
Cackling at them seemingly basing Jaxxon's molded head off the Nesquik bunny's headshape from 4051, frankly incredible dedication to the bit

The mold is almost identical with Bugs Bunny’s from 71030-2.
A real Jaxxon figure would be awesome. I need to reread the old comics. They were great
I'll watch while doing chores at home but won't be buying anything from this. Too non cannon for me.
I didn't think I needed another Rebuild the Galaxy (I liked it, more than I expected to, but it felt complete to me)--but Jaxxon there has me thinking I was wrong.
The parts to build an orange lightsaber has been in sets before, but I believe this is the first time it is used as such, right?
And as a massive Expanded Universe fan, I'm looking forward to Jaxxon! Even better that he has Bugs Bunny's headpiece!
I hadn't bought a Star Wars set in years until the Dark Falcon and mixable X-Wing/TIE Fighter came out last year. I grabbed both on a 25% of sale and don't regret it at all. I hope there's something similar with this one. I could definitely use a Jaxxon minifigure and anything else oddball. I feel my core Star Wars collection was finished years ago but I always like collecting strange one-off tie-in sets.
I'd love a Jaxxon minifig!
All I know about Jaxxon is that he was intensely despised by Star Wars fans to the time he was around
I was hoping we'd see another season! So excited. Curious about how the mixed scales thing is going to work.
Great to see buildable Chewbacca feature in a TV show, love that set.
Can’t wait for this — and hopefully a Jaxxon minifigure! What a time to be alive haha
What great news, and the first season was such a mind twister.
I remember reading possible leaks we're gonna get a 'hotrod' snowspeader. I hope in this set we get Jaxxon, I would be SO HAPPY.
A surprise. But, a welcome one.
This rabbit will be remade into a perfect Usagi Yojimbo. Oh and it's cool to have Jaxxon.
Ho-hum. The sets from the first season didn't interest me at all, and I doubt that'll change with any sets released alongside this season.
Let me know when they do more Freemaker Adventures sets.
really hope we end up seeing some form of Jek-14 in this season! Grew up watching the specials/shows with him and would love to see some form of him again.
oh that's unhinged. I love it.

We've gotten the lightsaber bar in Trans Neon Orange (for Nexo Knights and Ninjago Prime Empire), but never in the surviving Trans Orange, which is what this'll probably be.
Though I wouldn't mind if it turned out to be Trans Yellow, which we only got once back in 2015 for a Green Lantern set.
People: “That Chewbacca is scary”
Lego: “We shall give him the spark of life”

They need to make a minifigure of old Jek from The New Yoda Chronicles. The fact that we never got that version of him is a crime.
Why did Buggs Bunny join the Rebellion?
I don't know either!
Is that the return of 4051 ??
Super cool! Season 1 was clever and fun and I m glad to hear Season 2 coming! Looking forward to some new sets.Possible Brickheadz and large figure builds coming? Plus Jaxxon s pretty hardcore nostalgia. Those early Marvel comics, with the Tagge’s and Cyborg bounty hunters and killer space termites (not to mention large green rabbits sporting bright red space jammies) were some heady stuff! And yes, most Star Wars fans loathed Jaxxon.
Me? Unapologetic in my love! Then and now!
TIL how brickheadz' mouths work. I think.

You planning on painting the head?
I quite enjoyed the first season, so this should be interesting. I was a bit puzzled by Chewbacca’s absence, but I certainly wasn’t expecting this development. It’ll be interesting to see what other mashups, alignment changes, and references we get in this new incarnation.
The orange lightsaber is a bit puzzling-maybe Lego is ignoring the fact that they’re apparently dark-side aligned now?

Ah dang it. It's green, right? Looked greyish to me at first...

Remember when those same comics, and that same rabbit, were cited as a chief reason why "Legends was shit"? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Back to the topic, Rebuild the Galaxy was actually good, and I'm usually quite harsh on newer SW. I'm looking forward to the second season with hopefully several new sets with (previously) rare alien minifigures...

He -really- took a wrong turn at Albuquerque this time

We also got TNO lightsaber bars in a Star Wars set, though they weren't used as that: 4485.

Yeah, afraid so. Probably an effort to make him appear more alien.
Might work for Bucky O’Hare or Jazz Jackrabbit.

The fact that we never got the final episode of the Cartoon Network run on home video is a much bigger crime.

Agreed. Luckily I have it on iTunes, but I'd much rather have a physical copy of it than digital.

We got that episode in Denmark on DVD, unfortunately only with Danish audio. The episode is on The Yoda Chronicles, the 3-part season from Cartoon Network. We also got a DVD with the 4-part Season 2 from Disney XD, The New Yoda Chronicles. All LEGO series were distributed by Nordisk Film, a company running cinemas and making movies, so there’s only local language on all of them (except The Freemaker Adventures which was released by Disney themselves).
Rebuild galaxy was great but also left me salty for how many stuff WE DONT HAVE IN SETS.
Where is my Nerf herder set?
Where is my Graballa junkyard?

Wait — you're telling me that Graballa was in Rebuild the Galaxy?
I'm slightly interested now.
I've spent the last nine years waiting for LEGO to release a figure of him.

Where are my Ewoks piloting starfighters? (Yub yub, Commander.)

Well, yes, but my point still stands: It was never used AS a lightsaber before.
I have to damit that i really like the Show as ir met my Humor and catwred to me as a Lego and Star Wars fan. The Sets were also very nice: 75389 is either a mirror universe Millennium Falcon OR just a different YT 1200. And 75393 is THE Tie & X-Wing Set that was always needed: right proportional for the right price PLUS an easyJet way to get yourself uglies. That in mind I'm looking forward to the next season and 2nd wave of Sets respectively!
Jaxxon as a minifigure? Who would have thought! Based on the odd sets we got last year, I'm guessing we will see him in a set.
