That bulldozer is another impressive-looking construction set to follow on from last year's incredible duo of a crane and an excavator. It's especially cool to see it has some technic functions!
Bulldozer and Tow Truck for me ;)
Pigeons, wolf pups, and the adult wolf will be coming to OPAB. Is that a new hull for the boat? And I don't remember any planes having a hatch with incorporated stairs before.
Tow Truck is definitely my favorite out of these
Finally, and unfortuantely, a train I can't resist buying. Managed to avoid this potential new addiction up to now.
The huge arctic truck and chunky bulldozer are instant love from me too.
The custom police car garage is a fun concept.
I'll need a lot of those pigeons!
Looks to be one awesome summer wave for City!
Love how Johnny Thunder is continuing his exploration, and man is that train set really cool!
60457 Custom Police Garage is a fun idea executed well. The police car looks great and it looks like a lot more fun than the other 2025 police car in the Spider-Man set.
60465 Air Ambulance is the first 6w City rear-engine, T-tail jet since the business jet in 2016. The airstairs and wing are very specialized new pieces but they're entirely appropriate for the application. The engines are also done very well with the 3w round bricks. Looking forward to getting this one.
60466 Bulldozer is the first proper City bulldozer since, I dunno, 2012? I love the 3-cylinder engine. Another great entry in the new construction subtheme. Keep them coming at one or two a year, please!
60467 Tow Truck is a really nice playset. The tow truck is finished off really cleanly and the dump truck will be a nice addition to my city. I still have the similar 6w City dump truck from 2012 or 2013 on my wanted list but haven't gotten it yet. This will be a good alternative.
60470 Explorer Train is another fun idea executed well! Probably just gonna get Johnny Thunder separately for this one.
60471 Arctic Truck is amazing! Definitely a must-have. Two wolves, a wolf pup, and a big chunky Spacey rover with 6 huge wheels, steering, and suspension? Love it.
Holy Bulldozer Batman!
I'm trying hard to covince myself that I don't need 60471 but I've been not doing well so far. Very elegant.
Pigeons!!!
I want dozens!
Also wolves and polar foxes!
The Bulldozer looks like an awesome build. The train reminds me of that series snow piercer or something and that police garage is super funny with the changes you can make on that police car. Central station needs more bulk
I like the train, though I could do without the track and archway that will just bulk up the price, but the station needs more for me. City train stations are so lacking, in comparison to the modular ones I own.
The Arctic train looks like it has a modern remake of Johnny Thunder’s Himalayan outfits from the orient expedition sets! (See: 7415 ) I love how many remakes of him we’ve gotten, between collectible minifigs (71025-7) and the red panda Jeep (60424).
I also love that we finally have a train tunnel, even if it’s a small one. Trains and Arctic are two of my favorite themes, but I never imagined them combined… I’m super psyched about this set!
This is the best wave of city releases that I’ve ever seen.
Looks like the Lego police contracted Tony Stark to improve their cars.
LEGO Police sci-fi <3
And we get even a new villain.
Oh, right. Kind of hard to be excited by these. Bulldozer looks great and that's probably the best of the lot.
Train Station is a big disappointment, although i will download the instructions to get an idea of the lift mechanism for a modular I'm designing.
I think this takes the win for being the best City wave EVER!
Boats float. Woo hoo!!!!!
Best city line up for years. New designer?
These explorer sets look amazing. Too bad I can't afford them.
They all look nice. I just think the police garage is a good idea but I'm afraid it will be needlessly expensive due to parts count.
Oh, and also, I liked the new hull piece, it looks modern.
60455 definitely bears a resemblance to Judge Dredd's Lawmaster
PIGEONS!!!

first thing I thought of was snowpiercer!
Polar Express!!
I like the bulldozer, even though it’s way too big for my city. But my favourite is the tow truck, I’m surprised how well it turned out.
Are there any explanations for the new track pieces yet? One of them seems to be the mechanism that in this case makes the boulders fall. But the other one?
It’s not the size of your train that counts it’s what you do with it.
Waowwwwww look at that bulldozer!
Love the throwback to 6573 Arctic Expedition with the pair of angled plows on 60470, even if I seriously doubt it was done on purpose.
I want it to have been on purpose, I just know better.
Arctic foxes!!!!
Hell yeah
And I'm getting strong Inspector Gadget vibes from 60457.
Really strong line up from City this summer!
Bulldozer!!!
Really solid line-up, some fresh ideas, new takes on old ones. Really like the train station even though it's just a tiny facade, but at least it's something wildly different from past ones.
The new boat piece looks odd, the shaping just doesn't look quite right but maybe it's just the angle.
Most of the sets are too large for my City, but I do like them.
I agree, the boat hull is odd to my eyes. It's the way it curves down, at the back. Also, it seems kind of an empty set. So you have the jail cell at the front, the cabin in the middle, and then just a big bunch of empty space.
The custom police garage is pretty wild. I like it.
The Arctic Train will be a day one purchase. I love it. I LOVE it. Not only do you get a cool train, but a substantial trackside structure and scenery. And that's before you even get to Johnny Thunder in the Arctic. I imagine it'll be expensive as hell, but I don't care. I think it's brilliant.
The station is so interesting. I can see why people don't like it -- it is very small, and it's barely a facade, which would make it look strange in a proper City set-up. But having said that, it's so different and it's so interesting, design-wise, and I love all the little references to other Lego sets. There's a picture on the box of the red metro tram (that came out last year), there's a reference to the red tourist bus, also, is it just me or is that a portrait of the Hogwarts Express there on the second level of the cafe?
That bulldozer, wow! Tow truck is also nice, though think the color scheme looks kinda bland. Custom Police Garage is also a great play set, otherwise don't care much for the other police sets
And great to see trains getting some love again! Even when the station doesn't really make sense from a practical point of view, it looks mighty impressive for it's piece count and seems like a great play set. And it's easy enough to extend the platform.
And that Explorer Train also looks.....very cool! Yes, pun intended. Not just another variation on the usual train sets, but something different and kinda silly, and I love every bit of it! I think I now also know what my youngest nephew is gonna get for his birthday....
Strange, LEGO City sets are starting to look more and more like an iteration of Gotham. Still, these sets are excellent.
Tow Truck and Bulldozer look awesome to me.
The rest is ok I guess but nothing I would buy.
And that train station is just weird. Looks like a chunk or a slice of cake was cut out of a proper train station. Are you supposed to buy several and connect them together to make a proper one? That could get expensive real quick.
Honestly, I much prefer the modular train station concept BlueBrixx went with for theirs. Much better thought out and executed. And more customer friendly because even the base model gives you a proper station. And the add-ons just give you more, depending on your liking, room and budget.
The new City design team is absolutely brilliant, these last couple of years have brought us the best sets in over a decade. I think we're in a new golden age!
Arctic train! Arctic truck! Both a huge pleasant surprise, they look so beefy and fun. Love seeing the subtheme continue
Bulldozer! Seeing new Construction sets for the first time in years is awesome, and the fact they're so good makes it even better. This will go perfectly with the crane and excavator!
Police stuff looks sleek with some fun new concepts, and I like the tow truck a lot (especially the Elephant-construction themed tipper truck that comes with it). Ambulance plane also a nice surprise!
Only thing I'm disappointed by is the train station, I think the last one was better personally, this one feels like it has a small footprint, but I'm glad they tried something new. We're lucky to get a train station at all! And functioning lifts are always fun.
I'm a happy City fan today :) I hope Lego do whatever they can to keep these designers on board!
That bulldozer is a must-have. I like the police mission car, too. That Arctic truck looks the most Space-like. That train is tempting, too. Bold move putting a lot of parts into a tunnel-like structure.
WOLVES!!!
Now all we need is the Beastmaster shield in another set, and then the scalpers shall be wholly humiliated!
A train station but no new trains? (I've never heard of an 'explorer train, not even in films). Maybe it's some kind of subtile comment to the ever delayed trains in Denmark, Lego is trying to provide..

I get what you mean, but in this case I think you really need to look at ot from a kids POV. This one kinda gives the same big station vibe as those massive BDP stations, but with a fraction of the pieces and at much lower price (the RRP of €90 is a bit more than I would have wanted though). 60335 might have been the more sensible and realistic approach, with a longer platform but a much smaller building. Looks more like a S-bahn station than a major Hbf.
The old one was better if you have a whole Lego city and permanent layout, but I think the new one plays very well into play-pretend for kids. This is a big station, even when you only see a small part of it.....
Obviously would have been great if it had been a modular system in some way, but for some reason Lego just rarely seems to do that, even when it would perfectly fit their system.
Nothing for me in this wave but, those new Artic sets look great. I am a bit sad that the Space line didn't continue as it fits so well with: SW, DC and Marvel.
LMAOOOOO GET F***** WOLF SCALPERS
those are some cool sets, especially the non-police ones.
Love the Cop Chop Shop and the train. Will have to buy 4x the station to make it look right.

LEGO finally got enough iron and redstone to make Activator Rails
JOHNNY THUNDER RETURNS AGAIN!
Fun fact! As shown in 1996 concept art published in Blocks Magazine, one of the considered ideas for an Adventurers (or "X-Plorers", as known at the time) subtheme was an expedition to the Arctic in search of viking shipwrecks. This never materialized in sets, although the LEGOLAND Adventurers' Club has an entire section devoted to the Arctic. City's 2018 "Arctic Expedition" subtheme was also based upon an Adventurers pitch by Mike Rayhawk.
And now, here we are in 2025 with the latest wave of City's 2023-2025 "Explorer" subtheme. 60368 sees the explorers in the Arctic searching for viking shipwrecks. And now, thanks to 60470, Johnny Thunder himself finally gets to join the Arctic expedition!
@WizardOfOss : even for a kid I can't imagine this being much fun. It's so illogical and badly thought out, plus looks like a mix of styles where almost everything clashes with everything else. And add to that the fact that it can only accommodate a single track. With no room for or thought of expansion.
A station needs at least two tracks, one for each direction (or for a single line a track for letting another (faster) train pass.)
This imho is the worst train station LEGO have ever done, and the price is absurd for what you get too.
Terrible set. The only redeeming feature is the addition of the pidgeons.
The motorcycle is kind of uninteresting, though it does look nice.
I love the new hull on the police boat. It's a bit empty towards the back, but thus is the nature of small City boat sets.
The custom police garage is a really fun idea and I think it was executed quite well. Tons of playability there for sure, and the car itself looks great to boot.
Air ambulance looks good and has some nice new molds for plane parts.
The bulldozer is *enormous* but looks fantastic and has some great features.
The tow truck is easily the best we've ever had, and has enough features to rival a Technic set (I think it actually has more than 42128). The yellow truck is great too.
The train station looks nice from the front but would have benefitted immensely from being like eight studs deeper. I get that it has to still be a facade for the limitations inherent to a City set, but it could have had at least enough depth for a full passenger car to fit in it.
The explorer train is a pass for me, oddly enough. It's a great idea and was executed well, but I can't get over how much it looks like a pair of shipping containers with bogies attached underneath. Also, [insert old-man-yells-at-cloud rant about app-based LEGO toys here]. I'll definitely try and find the foxes on their own though; they're just so cute!
The arctic truck is fantastic. It's big, it's chunky, and it just looks "right" somehow.
Would be nice if the Lego group could produce a standalone tipper truck similar to the one with the tow truck. It would go great with recent construction vehicles.
Nice looking sets! The Arctic train is a nice change. I really like it. The ‘slice of train station’ looks kind of weird though; feels like you’d need at least five of them to make it look right.
That's, uh... a lot of cop stuff.
Sweet Christmas LEGO City. Give my 401k a break. Its being drained with this wave and new Speed Champions.
I will only accept the classic 90s motorcycle. Like from 6522-1. Everything else just looks too big. Which can work for Ninjago but for City? Nope. Gimme those little guys!!!

I'm pretty sure most kids won't be bothered by the things you object to here. For example, a single loop of track is pretty normal for a lot of kids' layouts, so not having two tracks side by side would not likely be an issue. Similarly a mix of styles is often an advantage for kids, not a disadvantage—it makes the building experience more varied and less repetitive.
The arctic sets feature two new maps that further expand the four parts from last year's jungle sets. Neat.
I quite like the train station--yes, I'm already planning how to expand it, but ideas are bouncing around happily, making me feel good. And the "explorer train" may not make lots of sense, but it looks interesting. All good.
Plus the new birds and animals are great!

Sure, most kids probably wouldn't mind, and likely build in a similar way given the often limited parts selections they own.
But a set of that price is out of reach of kids' pocket money, so it would be up to the parents to decide what they spend their money for their kids on. And every parent I know would want something that looks neat and cool and proper to begin with. It's up to the kids to make a hodgepodge out of it later on.
Seriously, just look at what a total mess this set is. For something that is supposed to be a "central train station" you get something that looks like a multi-story modern office building to the right, with a really tiny commuter train style platform next to it. Directly attached is some kind of tunnel entrance, with something that looks like an old style home on top, and a small fire station like clock tower on top of that. And to the left you have a slice of what looks like the only bit slightly reminiscent of an actual larger train station with that typical old style grand glass roof, but only a tiny section of it, which in addition is not above the actual tracks like in real life, but weirdly above some random interior rooms.
The whole construct makes zero sense whatsoever.
Oh, and continuing with the "makes no sense theme", instead of a train you get a service vehicle with a platform like the ones used for servicing overhead electric lines - of which there aren't any in the set.
Plus why are there plants growing on the side of the walls - on the interior of the building instead of the outside? And to top it off, why are the colours of the signal box the wrong way around - with green on top and red at the bottom, when in reality it's the other way around?
The more I look at the details the more I shake my head at this thing.
Those that pique my interest
Air Ambulance--if I'm not mistaken, this has to be one of the largest fixed-wing air ambulances LEGO has ever done. But, it seems to compare well with the jets actually used for long-distance repatriation and such. Really curious what the patient compartment looks like--should be pretty well equipped given the size.
60466 Dozer--simply awesome.
60467 Tow Truck. Probably the best one LEGO has ever done. It's a rotator and has working everything (winch, boom, boom extension, boom rotation, outriggers, wheel lift). However, I think the dump truck should've been a separate set. It will probably drive a $40-50 set into the $70 range.
All of the arctic sets look great!

Maybe it's like Grand Central Station in NYC, which is actually a post office, instead of being like Grand Central Terminal in NYC, which is what people refer to as Grand Central Station.
I don’t buy cop stuff and for space and budget reasons I have been ruthlessly suppressing my inner child’s desire for All The Construction/Utility Vehicles, but that Bulldozer really does look heckin fun, and the Tow Truck not far behind it. I love the train station and am thoroughly delighted by the new pigeon piece - they’ve always been my favourite bird. The Arctic Explorer stuff is always stunning - that colour scheme, hoo boy - and the truck has some particularly lovely shaping, but for aforementioned space/budget reasons I’ve been sticking to the mini sets in the theme. Sigh. Maybe if there’s a *really* good discount, although it does deserve to be bought full price.
Great vehicles indeed
@PurpleDave : fair enough, but then again LEGO clearly markets this as a train station, not a post office.
Honestly, I would like to hear from those who like this set as a train station the reasons what in their opinion makes this a good one.
The only good thing I see is the pigeons, which are indeed an essential feature of any realistic central train station ;-)
As for usable parts, take that small chunk of window arch. For a good looking station you would for a start need two to form a full arch over the track, which is what that type of windows is usually used for. And for a halfway decent length of cover you would at least need four next to one another, better five or six, going by the length of a locomotive or coach (if you want to have a cover for at least one of them). For that you would have to buy between eight and twelve of this set, or the equivalent amount of parts from BrickLink or elsewhere.
Sure, you can use parts of the structure for other uses, like the office building type of structure to the right of the set that's completely disjointed architecturally from the rest. But why was this added in the first place. Why not mirror the section on the left to give it a more cohesive and realistic look? There's more than enough of those office type modern structures in other City (and Friends) sets already.
Sure you can take that tiny bit of platform and lengthen it three or four times with your own parts to make it into a halfway decent one, but is that what a 90 Euro set is for - to have you fill up everything that's missing with your own parts to make something that's fun to play with?
Not in my book.
@AustinPowers said:
"And to top it off, why are the colours of the signal box the wrong way around - with green on top and red at the bottom, when in reality it's the other way around? "
That's not correct: Train signals are generally upside-down compared to traffic signals. The reason: There's usually a shade over the lamps, on top of which snow could accumulate. Which could block the light above it. And thus red (being the most critical signal) is generally at the bottom.
As for everything else, modern train stations have grown into multifunctional hubs, with often an old station building with more modern additions (like a modern elevator shaft). I think that's what they were going for. And indeed, it doesn't all make sense, I guess cramming in interesting looking elements and play features (like that elevator) had priority over realism.
The maintenance vehicle is a weird inclusion though, I'll give you that. Could have been a perfect pocket money set on its own....
If there's anything that's bothering me it's that the elevator shaft connects to the control room, yet there's no way for the passengers to get from one side to the other.
The tow truck is a must for me.
I'm not a fan of the move towards 8 wide (and bigger) vehicles for city and the downgrading of buildings to barely over a facade or just back walls. Saves the dollars though, and lets me focus on MOCs

Nah. It's certainly full of stuff I would have begged my parents for as a kid, but it doesn't have a fire truck, so that automatically knocks it out of the running.

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them become Bestsellers on PaB.
"Custom Police Garage"? Marketing to little boys has reached its natural zenith, and can only descend from here.
The design elements in the train station are nice, and it looks visually appealing, but there's so much that doesn't add up. Why does the elevator only go between a room at the top and one platform? Why is it for staff only? How are you even supposed to access the other platform? How do you get between the two platforms? How do you access that balcony? The layout just makes no sense.
The bulldozer and the tow truck are definitely day one purchases for me. Perhaps I would need a new shelf on a wall. Or a new wall for a new shelf.
Disappointed that Lego is still supporting the milit—err, police industrial complex.
Arctic train and the train station are fun!
