LEGO Festivals at LEGOLAND parks this month
Posted by benbacardi,
Throughout this month, play is on the main stage at the LEGO Festival, with an exciting array of events and activities taking place at seven LEGOLAND resorts across the world.
I've been invited to attend this weekend, so we will be heading off on a family adventure on Sunday. My children are very excited, especially as it's both their birthdays during the coming week, so the festival couldn't have come at a better time!
Let's dive in and see what the Festival is all about.
Celebrate the Power of Play
LEGO's asking visitors to make a play pact - a promise to play more, build more, and explore more. They've set up five play zones throughout the parks, in addition to the attractions already offered, each dedicated to a different style of play, to encourage creativity and imagination.
- First up is the Creative Zone, with classes and demonstrations from a Master Model Builder, opportunities to add to a large community build, and even a station to make (and eat!) your own LEGO minifigure head cookie.
- Next is the Dance Zone, where a DJ will be spinning the decks and inviting children and adults alike to learn some new dance moves, before contributing to a huge LEGO mosaic.
- If that's not your style, there's always the Gaming Zone, where LEGO have teamed up with Fortnite to bring big and small build activities as well as meeting large LEGO Fortnite characters in the flesh (erm, I mean brick).
- Or you can head over to the Music Zone, to watch a spectacular Battle of the Bands, rock out on LEGO guitars, and of course, more mini builds.
- And if all that wears you out, there's the Chillout Zone, a place to relax in a secret LEGO garden and build your own flower creations.
Each zone will offer a stamp for your Play Card, to return to the central hub and take your Play Pact once you've visited them all. There will also apparently be exclusive minifigures and merchandise, but we will find out more when we visit!
A trip to LEGOLAND is always fun, but I am excited to see what LEGO have put together at these play zones, adding to the rides and experiences already available throughout the parks. To get us ready to go, LEGO sent over a box of goodies containing LEGO Festival-themed t-shirts for both the children and myself, water bottles, and tote bags, as well as 40810 LEGOLAND Park Portal, which if I know my son will get built the minute he returns from school!
The LEGO Festival is being held across the world every weekend and holidays between now and the 8th of June, so if you've been thinking of visiting, it's the perfect chance! Visit your local LEGOLAND website to find out more, book your tickets, and look forward to a fun-filled day of creativity and play!
This is a paid promotion in collaboration with LEGO and LEGOLAND.

Don’t know why there aren’t Fabrik PAB/BAM stores all over the place. LEGO would make money hand over fist. If there were one near me (Surrey, UK in case anyone at LEGO is reading this!) I’d bankrupt myself buying minifig parts, accessories and System animals.
Have a great weekend with your kids!
Enjoy the trip!
Only been to Windsor once for Lego.... several times for lions, tigers and the killer whale though!

No minifig parts in Fabrik, and the BAM nearby is super overpriced with parts u can get on PAB for much cheaper unfortunately
