LEGO Insiders Days begins on LEGO.com!
Posted by CapnRex101,
LEGO Insiders Days has begun, with promotions running from July 8th to July 17th.
40784 African Savanna Diorama is now available with purchases of over £135 or €150, but maybe more interesting are the discounts on certain sets, including some highly desirable ones.
Discounts differ by region, but among the highlights are 25% discounts on the likes of 21335 Motorised Lighthouse, 21343 Viking Village and 10391 Over the Moon with Pharrell Williams, plus 20% off 10355 Blacktron Renegade, 31212 Milky Way Galaxy and 76178 Daily Bugle.
Furthermore, double Insiders points are available on sets from City, Creator, Friends, NINJAGO, DREAMZzz, Minecraft, Classic, Animal Crossing and a few other themes.

motorized lighthouse is going out of production at the end of this year, will it be on sale even more during black friday or is now the time to buy?

I wouldn't wait. When current stock is gone, it's gone. They run these sets in batches these days, and there is a 6 month lead time to them AFAIK. They probably aren't making another batch - what's left is left... so don't wait and take a chance, only to kick yourself later.
anyone have predictions as to whether the exclusive headprints from 10391 Over The Moon will go to PAB in the future? I really want them but if I can get them on PAB, like with all the 21337 Table Football heads, I'd prefer to do so over there.
Nothing on sale that interests me (that I don't already own, anyway), but I'd hit the GWP threshold on PaB alone if they'd just HAVE THE NEW PARTS IN STOCK
Force Of Creativity Star Wars book is included in the sale here. 15% off only though. I’ve noticed stock is changing so worth rechecking every few hours.
Does insiders days apply to physical stores too?
Milky Way a touch cheaper than Amazon... That'll do for me!
(and needs no table space... only wall space)
The lighthouse is fantastic…highly recommend it to everyone.
Do we know yet if the deals will be the same in North America?
At 25% off I might consider the lighthouse.

If I had the space, I'd do the same, and I'd definitely be picking 10355 up. But then, if I had the space, I'd almost certainly already have 10355, so maybe not.

If you had the Space, you'd have 10355 by definition. 40580 and 10497, too.

I still haven't built mine (been traveling back and forth all year), but was wondering how I would put it on the wall. Just nails or is there is a more ideal situation with those hanging attachments that stick to the wall (wouldn't it be too heavy for them)?
meh

But I *do* have 10497 (it's actually the only set I've ever pre-ordered) and 40580, so I'm two-thirds of the way there!
Some of these sets have been way cheaper in other places already...
4x Insiders Points on 5 selected sets including Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell (which I just got for my nephew during the 2x deal) and Porsche 911.
I was really hoping the NASA Artemis Space Launch would receive 20% off just like in other regions, but still nothing in the US yet.

I normally favour screws for hanging all but the lightest things on a wall. But even if Lego falls off a wall it's unlikely to be damaged.... just in need of a rebuild!
Daily Bugle seems like a good deal, but I'm not into Superheroes, so a no from me.
Might get the Renegade though. Viking Village is also nice, but no must have for me.
Was not on the wish-list but I got the Lighthouse. It is a very nice model but was not a priority for me. At 25% off, I figured I should get it. The viking village was also tempting but I could only get one at this time - I got a few small sets lately and a large PaB order - my Lego buying-resources are depleted for a while now.
Just compared with Brickwatch, most of these sets can still be found substantially (up to 20%) cheaper elsewhere....
@Ephseb uaully part appear on PAB 4 months after a set release if it doesn't, it usually never becomes available on PAB.
@murdoch17 @Meppers
31120 was allready sold out in Europe before the sale started.
10320 was sold out during a sale, it did return to the shelves but never got a discount again.
Your gamble, but the higher discount is usually for shelfwarmers
The discounts aren't deep enough for me on my local Lego.com but Amazon Prime Day sales on the other hand...
Hooted Lion Knights Castle from Amazon JPN for around US$260.
20% off for Daily Bugle is way too low, I bought 3 of it at different months last year for more than 35% off each.
Early this year even saw it went above 40% off on Amazon, would have gotten it if not already own 3 sets.
Lego's poor attempt at Amazon Prime Day.

To be honest, Amazon Prime Day is a poorer attempt at Amazon Prime day!
Shame no cat, oh well, there's always black Friday I guess... kinda.
if your looking wednesday sets few over 50% off

Seems like it currently, but the UCS LOTR sets are on offer, no doubt people will moan later in the year that they never go on offer.

I advise nails. Last year I used those 3M nails-stickers to hang the Hokusai Great Wave, but the glue didn't resist the hot summer days here in Portugal. One day there was a noise, and the great wave flooded the living room... This time my Milky Way has nails!!
Is anyone else having issues seeing images on Brickset?

I had my van Gogh Starry Night resting on a bookshelf when it fell off last weekend, knocking a few pieces off the Milky Way on its way down to the floor. A close look on the Lego builder and I managed to put both back together, Starry Night taking longer as a lot of it fell apart, the frame, sky, tree and a couple of buildings came off. Currently I have my art collection leaning against walls on floor at the moment until I hang them up. Living in rented they have rules as to what you can use to hang things and nails is not one of them.

Of course not all walls are equal. e.g. plaster, plasterboard, brick, breeze blocks, etc. I have lime based plaster, prone to crumbling so nails usually just result in a pile of dust on the floor, so I tend to drill, plug and screw into the underlying bricks.

It’s a nice newspaper office building regardless of the theme, and if you’re not interested in the figs, you can make back a good chunk of the price by selling them, so I’d get it.
Rivendell at 20% off would have gotten me. Alas.
Renegade might, has anyone seen it on sale elsewhere?

I believe some people are having a problem viewing images from Android devices when using Chrome. @Huw is currently away, but will doubtless be able to rectify it once he returns.

UCS is Star Wars. Do you mean Rivendell, Barad-Dur and The Shire? As none of those are showing as on offer for me in the UK.
edit: I guess you mean on Amazon rather than on LEGO.com

Must be something specific. Using Chrome on Android (desktop and mobile view) and images are fine for me. Ad blocker maybe?
For US folks, 10297 appears to be 30% off on Amazon for Prime Day - well worth it if anyone hasn't gotten that yet.
Damnit, I should have stayed up late. The lighthouse is now on backorder. :crying face:
sigh i JUST bought the lighthouse to get 2x vip and the friendly snails gwp! Will be returning and buying it on sale
Had to pick up another copy of the Renegade at 20% off. I also got that Pharrell set with the cool gold canopy. Also moon car.
Plus that African Safari GWP has some good space parts. This was a nice buy!

Have had no issues with the 3M Contact strips (Velcro). Just ensure that it is stuck over multiple pieces. Usually use 2 strips for every 48x48. Used 6 for Milky Way, to be on the safe side :)
I was hoping that, given that it is called INSIDERS DAYS, they would do some decent offers for Insiders members that had saved up some points. All I can see is a little off the arcade ride sets and a beach / cooler bag thing.
I needed the Space, so I ordered my 3rd and final 10355.
And when the Vikings are affordable, it's best to stock up, so I also ordered 21343.
The only thing that would have made this order perfect would have been a Pirates addition, but the African Savannah Diorama GWP can sub for Pirates this time.

The velcro strips applied directly to the lego art (16 pound rated ones) combined with the Command metal picture frame holder (rated for 8 pounds) for the built in hook space have worked beautifully for me. Prepping by wiping the wall with IPA is important. Also I let the holder build up strength by applying it to the wall and then let it stay there for at least an entire day before hanging anything on it. Everything on my apartment walls is hanging by some sort of Command strip. They're incredible even in heat waves and sub zero temps.
LEGO almost always only do discounts on poorly selling sets that no one wants.
I finally bought the Renegade! For once Lego is actually a good price option for it!
I can't recall having ever bought anything on Lego.com. Ever. And I've been an active fan since the website exists!
If it hadn't been the main image I might not have even considered taking a look too. In my experience it's never worth going there.
I picked up a 3rd copy of the Renegade, glad I waited for the sale.
