By in United Kingdom,

Thank goodness I only want one (gold mine) this time around.

The next few months will be expensive enough without BDP sets draining my wallet!

Gravatar
By in United States,

These actually feel reasonable and well designed.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I must say, quite enchanting selection. Almos nothing extreme or extraordinary, rather solid, typical buildings and locations. Well, except the Sequoias, that is quite a taaaaall build. If I had a budget I would take all of them to build and play with my kids.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

the sequoias are lllovely

Gravatar
By in United States,

Welp there goes my bank account. LOL

Gravatar
By in Canada,

First castle build I have no interest in.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Nice they added the new wolves and pidgeons.
Wolfpack shields seems printend.
Hope we get more sellouts with this lineup

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm getting all of them except I'm on the fence about the off-road.

I'm getting two Sequoias. Time to hop on a speeder bike. Don't forget your Ewok biscuits.

Leia!!! Wait!!!

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

The Wolfpack tower will sell out so fast :-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I reckon the Outlaw Forest Den will easily reach the 3000 orders needed to ensure production. If I had the budget and space for it, I’d give it serious consideration. It’s a good looking and well designed creation.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

All cool builds, but none that I have a particular interest in.

Those sequoia look like the most tedious builds ever....

Gravatar
By in Australia,

They are all absolutely gorgeous.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Oh good, for a minute I was afraid there wouldn't be another castle in this selection.

The designer of Sequoia Tree Trail must've thought: "How can I create a set that also takes up a lot of space in height?" They surely achieved in doing so!

@myth said:

All the castle-related sets sell out within several hours, and I'm sure this one won't be an exception.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’ve been tempted a few times by these BDP sets but based on reviews over the years there still seems to be a sizable gap compared to official models in terms of design standards and parts allocation, as expected. Though, I would say there are some nice models in this wave that could perhaps benefit from a bit of refinement. Off road adventure is trying to fit in too much, I would probably remove the dirt bike altogether. Outlaw forest den looks far too visually busy for my liking. Sequoia tree trail is the most appealing one for me and I wonder how well it scales compared to the a-frame cabin and tree house, could make for an excellent display scene.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Methinks the gold mine will go well with the general store, merchant boat and WW train to create a Wild West display.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The art gallery has been done, albeit smaller, and the gold mine looks a bit fake. I'll probably get the outlaw Forrest den, though it seems expensive but this series is the one I am least enthusiastic about.

And is the exchange rate for USA and EU really the same? It doesn't seem right to me.

Yes, but I think that this one will sell out much faster, as Wolfpack faction has quite dedicated fans. Just look how hard it was to find Wolfpack Beastmasters from CMF

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

as long as 1€ is the same as 1$ for TLG I will not buy anything

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

No doubt all will hit 3000 although I think the Sequoia Tree Trail will struggle to get much further. It looks as boring as hell to build and not particularly interesting to look at.

It is a shame that the Wolfpack torso is the existing set version, with the fur collar and money bag. The beastmaster CMF torso is much better for army building. Still, hopefully the shield will be widely available if it comes to PAB.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'll probably get the Art Factory. I was also considering the Sequoia Tree Trail but now that I've seen the price I'm not so sure, that's a lot of money for a few tall trees, some terrain and a small cabin. If I have to choose between the two due to budget constraints it will definitely be the Art Factory.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

This has become something focused on only hight tier price sets as well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'd love to get the Outlaw Forest Den - especially since it's pretty much the only way to get printed Wolfpack shields - but I am in no position to casually throw $230 at a set that won't even arrive until next April.

Although I wonder if LEGO reproducing the Beastmaster shields could mean that they'll come to Pick-A-Brick...

Gravatar
By in Italy,

Wow!! This is the best Designer Program batch so far! I'll have to start saving and come up with €1,200 worth of coins in my piggy bank.

Off-road: very playable and reasonably priced;

Art Factory: a modular feast, pretty New York-ish, will give character to the ex-shady, now artsy part of Legotown;

Goldmine: a treat for West, Train and Adventure themes' lovers;

Forest Den: WOLVES!!!

Sequoias: gets my vote for most original set, will go very well with the Off-road and the Goldmine sets.

Congrats to the designers!

And if I wind up short, I might drop the Forest Den and keep the other four.

Great design, kudos!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

All of them look good, each in their own way.
But none of them screams must have to me.

I'd I had to choose one, it would be the Off-Road Adventure, as that is not only the most affordable but imho also the most charming one.

Gravatar

There had better be a banana slug in that Sequoia Tree Trail set

Yeah, I was lucky enough to find a fresh case and get three for myself, so I know all about it, haha. Will definitely be getting this. After this, I'll be fine if they don't do any castles for a while.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

I want The Art Factory and Gold Mine Expedition. Prices look reasonable.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They’re all cool, but only one under $200? Oof. I don’t have enough space to keep up with the volume of releases I’d like to get, so…will probably pass on most of these.

Gravatar

Very neat sets! None of them really scream must-have to me but they are very pretty, and I'm impressed with some of the techniques like the rapids in the Off-Road Adventure set or the very smartly constructed Sequoia trees.

Keep in mind that in Europe, the price of the set is the price the consumer actually pays, because European VAT taxes are incorporated into that price. You can buy a €100 Lego set for exactly €100. (Which is how things should be. Good job, Europe!)

In the USA, we have state and local taxes that we have to pay *on top of* the listed price. So when we take a $100 Lego set to the register, we always have to pay more than that.

These sales taxes vary all over the country, but the average is about 7.5%. So in the USA, a $100 Lego set actually costs us about $107.50. That's what you have to pay to leave the store with the set. It's a stupid system, but it's what we've had for decades, and it's unlikely to change anytime soon.

So U.S. consumers are paying more than European consumers even when the suggested retail prices in the different currencies are 1-to-1.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

I assume the Wolfpack shields will be stickers. There is only one available shield resource and that is the cmf beastmaster.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I want to see the OG vs updated Art Factory. I really like it, but I feel like I liked the submission better?

Still seems like a solid build and one I want for my city.

Gravatar
By in United States,

dang that art factory set is good

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Love that Wolfpack includes builds for the Tower and Renegades. And that's a lot of minifigs! The variety of legs and heads and hair really helps. Definitely glad my beastmaster will get some friends, as well as the vintage Renegades I have. Love these "remakes" even if the price can be tough. This is the last one I want (LKC for Lion Knights, Mountain Forest for Falcons, two options for Forestmen, Transylvania for Fright Knights, and at least a small GWP for Dragon Knights) so this will make a nice closing point for classic castle remakes.

Gravatar
By in United States,

"The Art Factory" is such a terrible name. Mass production and "art" are antithetical.

Be glad that shops have to pay their employees a (somewhat) fair wage, otherwise you'd have to tip them 20% or so on top of it!

It is hard to tell from the images due to being straight on, but in the last image the shield on the left is perfectly centred whereas the one on the right is poorly aligned. It could be a poorly aligned sticker or a poorly aligned print. I don't think the shield was in the allowable parts, so most probably stickers. Unless of course there is another Wolfpack set coming that uses a shield that we don't know about yet. Other parts like the wanted poster are clearly stickers in the images.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Off-road Adventure designer here - thanks for all your support and kind words, I can't wait for crowdfunding! :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Gold Mine set is intriguing. Makes me want Lego to start doing modular buildings from different eras. I'd love to build a wild west town, or some Star Trek-like futuristic cityscape.

Off-Road Adventure would pair well with Sequoia Tree Trail imo.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These all look great. I want the Off-Road Adventure and the Wolfpack Tower. The Sequoia Trail looks good, but I don't have room for it. The Art Factory would go well with any Modular city, but I'm not really into the Modulars. The Wild West Gold Mine looks alright, but I'd rather have small Western playsets. Of course, I'd also like to have small Castle playsets ....

By in United States,

I very much want to know what models you guys want from BDP that don't include castles, trains, wild west, classic space, or pirates.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

All smashing sets but fortunately the only one that really tempts me is also the cheapest... The Off-Road Adventure.

It was meant to be a bit of a modern version of vehicles like that, so glad that comes through!

I have the same thing, I've never owned the set but think it's really cool.

Well, for whatever it's worth, so far I have bought:
- all the castle ones
- clockwork aquarium
- bikes!
- modular construction site
- the mushroom house and village

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

Having Outlaw Forest Den with the shields and the wolves from CMF, hmm... Both in the same year. I'm I wrong, or is it the first time? A new related set coming soon, perhaps?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

For me, the good news out of this is: the wolves will be available on PaB. That said, because of someone, most Lego parts are not available anymore in North America.

Best selection (IMO) I have seen in a while.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Tempted by the Art Factory, but it'll be a bit of a pain to modularize... I usually like how you can take apart floor by floor, but this one will always have the middle split as well... Tough choice...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've been waiting for the Art Factory for what seems like forever, but the other sets are also very appealing. Just when I'd convinced myself I really didn't need more Lego--hah! TLG always makes me break that resolution....

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I just want the Art from the Factory - Classic Space, LEGOified Scream plus some nice abstracts!

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Now that was a bit too enticing. Good thing it will be a while before the actual sales start so can temper my “oh shiny “ impulse… curios if this batch will also get the all you can buy treatment, or if it really was a once off.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I guess the mould for horse saddles broke and they couldn't be bothered to make a new one?

Though the technique used in the Forest Den looks neat.

By in Ireland,

Dear LEGO Customer Service Team,
I am writing as a long-time LEGO enthusiast and supporter of the BrickLink Designer Program. While I greatly appreciate the creativity, design quality, and ambition that went into the upcoming set currently titled Gold Mine Expedition, I feel strongly that the chosen name is a poor fit for the model and risks diminishing the set’s impact.

The word “Expedition” suggests a temporary exploration or journey into the unknown — such as an Arctic trek, jungle adventure, or archaeological mission. However, the set itself represents something very different: a fully realized gold mining settlement, complete with permanent infrastructure, offices, living quarters, and industrial machinery. This is clearly not an expedition, but rather a thriving mining operation, more in line with a frontier town or industrial works.

The mismatch between the set’s intricate design and its name does a disservice to the talented fan designer, to the storytelling possibilities of the set, and ultimately to LEGO customers who expect names that resonate with the product. A more suitable name could have been something along the lines of The Great Gold Rush, Frontier Mining Camp, or Boomtown Gold Mine. Such alternatives would better reflect the authenticity of the design while still capturing the sense of adventure and discovery.

LEGO is renowned for its attention to detail, respect for fan designers, and ability to inspire imagination through both builds and branding. I urge you to reconsider the naming of this set, either before its release or for future projects, so that the title reflects the richness of the model itself.

Thank you for taking this feedback seriously. I remain a dedicated supporter of LEGO and hope to see this incredible set given the justice it deserves through a name worthy of its design.

Sincerely,
Gunther T. Schnitzel

By in Belgium,

These all look very good. Even though I may be a member of the Castle Mafia, the Outlaw Forest Den might be my least favourite set here (because it is a bit too greebly). The Sequoia Forest looks amazing.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Outlaw Forest Den looks even better than in the submission; I'm glad figures and wolves could be added to the final design. One day I'll build a medieval diorama for the different BDP castles I have bought over the years… but first, I need my kids to grow up (otherwise they'll destroy everything)… and above all find some space for that project…

So many small side builds from big expensive sets would be great small sets on their own. So many side builds I wish I could buy separately at retail :/

Of course it’s possible to build the set without stickers, because those shields exist, but when we are talking about 30 000 times (or I don’t know what is the exact number for this program), even with 5000 times, LEGO should give them extra, because through bricklink not that much available.

And if LEGO has extra why isn’t it available in P @B?

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a bricklink set with cmf part which is only available through (a desired) cmf.

Anyway I hope you are right and those are printed elements.

What we can hope for is, while it isn't available at PAB now and wasn't in the allowed parts list for BDP, the shield could be coming in a future set and so LEGO has allowed the printed one to be used here as it will be produced through the normal channels.

Not that it matters to me, as I have enough to equip all my Wolfpack guys through the CMF. But if there is a new official Wolfpack set, I might be interested.
