Posted by ,

Today's random minifigure is sh0063 Commissioner James Gordon, a Super Heroes figure that came in one set, 76001 The Bat vs. Bane: Tumbler Chase, released during 2013.

Our members collectively own a total of 9,362 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $16.00.

I love this figure, it still stands today, 13 years later. That 'stache, mmm.

By in United States,

I wouldn't mind them doing another set of the Bat. I also wish they'd do a set based on The Dark Knight trilogy that had a Catwoman minifig, so I could get Anne Hathaway in Lego Form.

By in United States,

That doesn't look anything like Neil Hamilton.

*checks set name*

Oh right, wrong Commissioner Gordon.

Yeah, we now have Scarecrow, multiple Jokers, Two-Face, and Bane, but not Catwoman, either of the al Ghuls, or any of the gangsters (offhand I only know Falcone and Maroni are established characters).

Neeson's al-Ghul can probably be kitbashed using Qui-Gon Jinn's face and maybe the version of Ra's found in 76056. Or you could use Bad Cop's head, since he was also voiced by Neeson.
Falcone never showed up in Lego-format, though 70915 does feature a vehicle from Falcone's Totally Legitimate Construction Company (or something along those lines). If that references what I think it references, that's pretty grim for a playset, and it might well explain WHY Falcone isn't ever going to show up in a set.

There was a character called "Chopper Maroni" in one of the Ninjago-lines, but I mostly remember him because he seemed to be a reference to Vyvyan Basterd from "The Young Ones". Which I appreciate, because I am so ferociously old. I don't think he had much mob-boss DNA in him, the name seems to just be the result of ChatGPT pulling random gang-monikers out of someone else's Facebook-posts.

"A hero can be anyone, even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat on a young boy's shoulders to let him know that the world hadn't ended.”

This minifigure's head is forever linked to custom Walter Whites on Flickr to me.

By in United States,

I have a lot of nostalgia for the set this Gordon came with.

If only they would do a set with the rest of the Sex Piatols.

@Crux:
The movie Johnny Dangerously has a character that’s listed by the name of Moronie in the end credits, but the club he runs has signs saying “Club Maroni” in the film itself. No idea if that was intentional or not, but there are definitely other uses out there.
