By in Switzerland,

This will tempt me to a modular and Speed Champions car. 3x GWPs + 10% back. Not sure if I'll grab the Retro Space Explorer, it's a pretty fun design but I don't think it's so good I need it.

Another space set that requires Insider Points . . . darn.

By in Austria,

Will there be discounts? If not, I don't see the point in buying something during this Insider event.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

It seems like the castles has the first glow in the dark cone since 2004? Pretty nifty for micro builds of 90s castles.

yeah there are always discounts. Not confirmed yet but a list has been leaked on reddit.

Videos are starting to show up on YouTube announcing discounts. These aren't videos directly from Lego so I guess can't be considered official announcements. In my opinion it is likely there will be discounts, we may not get formal confirmation from Lego though until the weekend starts.

By in United States,

That Mini Knights Castle is so cute! I always wanted but never had 6086 so eventually I found the instructions and built it from spare parts. This approach never occurred to me, and that is a great use of roller skates on the mini 6073.

By in Japan,

The Hot Chocolate stand does look rather awesome so that’s definitely on my radar but will leave Mini Knights Castle,I’m not really a fan of the micro-scale models (like 40704 or 40703) and don’t like too many small finicky bits that result in nothing you can really play with after (I much prefer minifig compatible sets). And I’m not impressed with Baby Gorilla Encounter as 1) It already exists as a reward for 500 points and b) It’s been around since summer last year (when I bought it) so they could really improve their polybag/recruitment bag game!

LEGO reveals these new GWPs to positive reception after the recent outrage over the Death Star and fish tank. Right after yesterday's article! Though these aren't for a specific set.

By in Netherlands,

Cool sets, won't get either of them.

None of the sets are amazing but what's great is the deal stacks so spending $250 to get all three isn't that bad.

Ah I see, it's the new version. I was looking at the non-grooved cone.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That sure looks like two different pairs of castles, but there's no 2-in-1 callout.

EDIT: After looking at the other images at LEGO.com, I think it's the different angles that threw me. Which IMO
is better-- they're not designed to be seen from just one or two angles.

I need it

By in United States,

The only one I really want are the mini castles, as they are recreations of my first castle (the one that turned me into a legolomaniac and my favorite castle of all time. I am not going to spend $250 just to get this set, but thankfully it seems to not have any unique parts so I cam build it from bulk once the instructions are posted online.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Assuming the set I want is still available by then, this will qualify me for all of them - I really like the hot chocolate stand. I'm not too fond on the Castle as this is a micro build (easier to display, but still not a fan). I already have the baby gorilla encounter but a double is not too bad - (I have double and triple Harry Potter polybags and that is way worst as you cannot use them together - but two baby gorillas is plausible if you have a troop.)

I did not buy the latest Classic Space micro build and this one is equally not tempting to me. Should 5009806 come with a regular sized minifig, I might have bought a few. I have enough baby space figures to open a space nursery.

The set I want is already quite expensive, if the deals are any good, this might be a wallet-painful week-end.

By in United States,

I am glad Lego is working on giving retro space sets some love, but a) being gated behind points of GWP is disappointing and b) these micro sets are not appealing to me at all.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Loving that hot cocoa stand!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It always annoys me that insiders weekend is the weekend before black Friday because you can usually only afford to spend on one, not both. I'm gonna have to try this time, because I like these gaps, though I won't spend the points for the retro space explorer and Ill probably sell the gorilla encounter.

I also need to get the Enterprise, so my wallet will have to stretch for two weekends this time.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Should've done the nano figs for the castles like the other tiny castles.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Hot Chocolate Stand couldn’t be more up my street short of having my name written on it, so I’m quite delighted at that, and my partner loves nostalgia kits so if I can ferret out the micro castle kit at a decent price I will.

These micro builds are seriously problematic for this reason:

Lego: Don't you ever say we don't think about you and did not give you anything 'Classic Space' related.

Also Lego: But, whatever we offered you, you cannot use it with your other 'Classic Space' sets.

@CapnRex101:
I’d imagine they are, but are all of them stackable?

If so, I will definitely be spending the $250. Since I first saw the Insiders Reward, I knew I had to get it. I’ve been waiting for a nice one, and this is certainly that. I really like the Hot chocolate stand, and I’m a little surprised it’s taken this long. I’m a little torn on the microscale castle. I liked the Insiders one, but they should have gone the Nanofig route again this time.

Good GWPs, and considering the sales and double points coming up this Insiders weekend, I'll probably end up with a few of these. Might as well get the Retro Space Explorer as well, while I'm at it...

How is not not usable with other Classic Space? It is a brick built version of the Classic Space logo. It will go with just about any CS sets. Better still, you can pull it off the display stand and stick it on a building and you have a Classic Space HQ.

Hello brickset,

This is my first post in all my many years of use, and thank you for this fantastic database!
I have noticed, that you have included a lot of national prices, but I would like to ask, if you could add the danish as well, to this and future articles - something I have missed for a long time.

Thank you very much :)

True, but at least we're not stuck like the Castle fans having to spend $250... I'm not even sure I'll get this, it just feels like a dust collector, and while I like the planet logo, the spaceship is not very good at all.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Sorry, Lego… I’m not falling for it. Still, a very nice vintage mini-castle set though.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Hot Chocolate Stand is a very nice GWP and the Retro Space Explorer is a great looking Insider Reward. Not particularly drawn to the Mini Knight's Castle. As with the Ninjago microbuilds, I'm sure it's great for anyone who has the originals but it's a bit of a jumbled mess to me!
Will probably end up with all of them by default as there are several possible £250+ sets I want at 2X points (and hopefully a discount)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Couldn't care less about the castle thing, but that hot chocolate stand looks like it could be a good addition to my family's winter village display.

That said, if I buy 71411 The Mighty Bowser this weekend, I should get all 3 GWPs, correct? Even if 71411 is on backorder (as it is now in the US... ships in 60 days... yikes)?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

For those (in North America) who have not seen it yet, there are now 4965 pieces available in PaB (there was 1475-ish parts up until yeasterday). If you have an interest,I strongly suggest, you consult the retiring list on New Elementary because nearly 2000 pieces will soon disappear. The timing is pretty good, as we can order these parts before they disappear.

EDIT: people must be aware because the site is ridiculously slow (but nothing new, coming from Lego)

They missed the chance to give mini 6086 knight white “plumes”, instead of yellow. As that’s the most rate and expensive figure of them all :-)

Nailed it! I didn't notice at first, thankfully I have some white feathers I can use. I think they're pretty common these days, yeah, as quill pens?

By in United States,

Heads up, the gorilla GWP is only with purchase of certain themes. $40 in Dreamzzz, City, Friends and Ninjago.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Of all the polybags they chose the one that I already have tons of thanks to clearance sales at Target. Was hoping it would be the Santa in the Chimney one that no one seems to have. Need to figure out what I'm going to buy to reach the thresholds for the other GWPs.

I don't think I've seen it at all in stores over here but then I rarely pay attention to polybags like that. I know it was at Insiders but gave it a miss as points are better spent on other Insiders sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

the mini Space logo is neat. I may have to consider picking that up. The other two GWP are decent enough, but nothing I need. I already built my own version of a microscale Black Knight's castle, so I don't think this one is any significantly better than my own, so I don't need to worry about spending that much. Plus I should really be on a spending freeze anyway since I have so many backlogged sets with no time for them.

Yes, we get most of the polybags but they seem to send different collections of them to different retailers so tracking down certain ones isn't easy. I managed to find two of the Santa one in a Sporting goods store the other day but that was it. None of the other stores that usually have them seem to have gotten much variety this year. I think I ended up getting most from this same store earlier this year. Usually our Target & Walmart stores get a lot of different ones throughout the year but the selection this year has been poor in both of those stores. We unfortunately don't have access to the magazines with the builds/minifigs that you get over there so I guess it's a trade off.

"Slightly incomplete" is usually a euphemism for "half of the minifigures missing, base cracked, bricks lightly chewed".

No sale, friend.
