Looks like Huwbot did not nail the three-pointer I was hoping for. Oh well, 'tis a muggle sport, and I'm sure Mr. Weasley would find it fascinating, but he's going to be a bit preoccupied in this set.

*Obligatory "I had this one!" comment*

Actually, I recently pulled the bits of this one out of a junk drawer and put the whole thing back together, chunk by chunk. Was a fun project for a week lol

Nothing like the iconic Weasley… pig

We’re never getting another $60 Burrow, no less one with six minis. Not that it matters to me, I don‘t buy these anymore.

That Bellatrix fig was next-level quality for the time.

At least they aren't pointy... they don't teach you how to defeat men armed with those. ;)

No built in functions to represent the damage it takes in this scene so I guess you just have to kick it or something

I prefer 75980 in terms of accuracy versus value for money, but this one looks decent too. Especially for the time it was released.

@Huw

Why no mention of new BLDP sets? They're another fantastic wave.

Ridiculous GBP price compared to the USD price. Some sets of this time, the UK number was 20% or so below the US number, but when the UK number went above the US one, you knew you were being ripped off. The rate was about 1:1.5 at the time and the VAT does not account for parity or UK > US prices. No wonder these didn't sell that well without discounts.

I got it, but for some reason I ended up only using it for parts.

I believe this was the last Harry Potter set to have an alt build. Said alt build assumed you didn't apply any stickers, though.

I really nice one, and one of the few sets about the movie from back then. Those bushes in dark tan are special too. And in general this was one of the few completely never done before builds of the 2010-2011 sets (seriously, why are we not calling it 'Harry Potter II'?)

I got excited for a second about back of the box builds, which I recall ceased around 2006. But when I googled it I found it was a Lego Club build. Still fascinating, I had no idea it existed!
