LEGO NINJAGO 71860 Lloyd's Titan Mech revealed!

70676 Lloyd's Titan Mech was introduced in 2019 and marked a change in the style of LEGO mechs, giving rise to the series of Titan Mechs released over the last few years.
However, mechs have further developed since, as 71860 Lloyd's Titan Mech demonstrates! The set contains 1293 pieces and it will be available on March 1st next year, costing £119.99, $129.99 or €129.99.

Teen boys, teen girls and nostalgic ninja fans aged 14 and over can celebrate the 15th anniversary of the LEGO NINJAGO TV show with this highly impressive and feature-packed mech toy. The LEGO NINJAGO Lloyd’s Titan Mech 15th Anniversary (71860) action figure set is an upgraded version of the fan favourite original Lloyd’s Titan Mech (70676) model. This mech toy features several poseable body parts, including wings, legs, feet, arms and shoulders and a cockpit for a minifigure. It also comes armed with a large sword and, for the first time ever, a large shield that can be repurposed and placed on the back as a pair of wings. The model building kit comes with 3 minifigure characters, Lloyd and Grimfax from the TV show, plus a collectable elemental Master of Ice on a stand.

Incredible. One of the best looking Lego mechs yet, and that's saying something, given how many there are.
I'm honestly shocked they revived a villain-of-the-wave minifigure element 6 years later... those things barely get used past 6 months!
I loved the original of this. This looks very impressive but I wouldn’t have had any idea it was a remake of that previous set just by looking at it.
This is absolutely gorgeous, and I can't wait to see what kind of articulation this thing has. The 2019 Titan mech was what got me into Ninjago mechs, to the point that I now have several shelves of them.
I mean, on the one hand, that's pretty awesome. On the other hand - check out that little enemy soldier, charging this thing's ankles with nothing but an axe in his hand and a song in his heart. I can respect that, even though he is about to be stomped into soup.
While I'm not really interested in getting this, I am looking forward to the eventual review.

8762 Toa Iruini vibes with that shield and the color scheme
It's kinda sad. 71738 Zane's Titan Mech is what got me out of my (not dark age but) dim age. Now this one in the same sort of series is more than twice as much. We know they can do affordable mechs but nope
Just get the Gundam license already! And make it Gundam Wing or G Gundam.
Not my thing at all but this looks incredibly good. Then again, I'm not a connaisseur so maybe that's not what the real fans go for... I don't know, but I like it.
I have not seen any new parts at first glance but quite a few recolours (mostly sand green).
What does 'Limited Edition' means for a Lego production set? Usually when Lego does a true limited edition, it is called a GWP.
Edit: Just had a look, the original was pretty good too.
Nice to see the Ice Chapter get some love. I'm a little bummed not to see a new Akita or a Kataru fig, but Grimfax is a pleasant surprise.
So many characters it seems like we'll probably never get figures for...:'(.

He's a mole. Anyhow he never saw the mech in the show. Akita would have been a much more proper minifig to include.

Dear Brickset Team, please speak up about the closing of BrickLink in 35 countries, including Brazil. You have a big audience here, and this will tremendously affect our Lego community.
If only the (I know, much smaller) mech in 71837 NINJAGO City Workshops looked remotely as good as this one does, I would buy the workshops set in a heartbeat! I am by far no expert on mechs but I really like the classy look of this titan mech and the balance between the colours being used! It almost looks too good to be used as a fighting machine. (Now I'll have to put it on my Wanted List.)

Ninjago really knocking it out of the park with their dragons and mechs.
With that silly CMF grin, that Master of Ice really looks like he's been caught doing something he weren't supposed to do.
It looks fantastic, but I'm going to miss the backpack of the original. It is nice to get a shield this time, though!
Looks amazing, and thinking of picking this up since I missed out on the original mech. The new Lloyd figure looks great, even though it's not accurate to the season this Mech appeared in, but those suits were so overused anyways.

It's right next to the consistent scale.
These Ninjago mechs have become a new favorite thing to collect. I love the detailing, and the build itself is always a lot of fun.
But seriously, can we just contact Bandai already and get some actual Gundam sets? I think it would make a lot of people very happy!

Glad to see the titan mechs' articulation is improving with each release. Might get it once I clear my Gunpla backlog.

At first glance this looks exactly like the old one to me. Then again, all those large Monkey Kid mechs also look alike to me.
Maybe it's because I have never been particularly interested in mechs other than a casual fondness for the original Transformers cartoon series from the Eighties. And even that was just a fad.

Oh you definitely have options. Plenty of sub 20 dollar mechs across LEGO’s entire lineup.
Good, but not enough for €129.99.
I prefer its 74,99€ predecessor, maybe a little smaller but more proportionate and with a flying veichle. And with much more minifigures.
For me the original is my favorite mech of all time… and it still is, this one is good but it lacks the charm and personnality of the original, which was much closer to the mech appearing in the show (exception for the colors I’m not sure I would have recognize it). So, not buying (at least, not to keep it, I guess if I find it at a low price I’ll grab it to build it once)

Transformers toys have remained in production for more than forty years, so more than "just a fad." Unless you mean that they were just a passing fancy for you personally.

Surprisingly it was never retired! It was used as a test piece for every crystal element introduced in Crystalised and got to stick around because of that.

Indeed, the latter.
I prefer the look of the original. The head, shoulders and torso just look better. I do like that the new one has knees and the shield is cool.

I’m hoping the Movie Garmadon helmet is still in circulation and that we might see a Hailmar figure from Master of the Mountain at some point.

action figures vs a collector-grade model. Not the same. it's just another testament to Lego's hyperinflation the last few years, that the same series of mechs has doubled in price.
