This week's vintage set is 125 Universal Building Set, released during 1974. It's one of 6 Universal Building Set sets produced that year. It contains 234 pieces.

Nope, before my time. My first set at least had maxifigs.
Calling it a building set was too boring so they added universal to the title to make it sound cooler.

Oh yeah? Who's gonna make me? Nobody showed up when I tore the tag off my mattress, and it said not to remove it. So what are you gonna do when I throw the pieces in my own storage containers?
A 14 year old still playing with Lego.... not a chance!
1974 was Tiger Feet, Juke Box Jive, Killer Queen, Far Far Away and The Six Teens.
It was more than 4 decades later that I realised that Lego was still being produced!
