I have several copies of this figure with four white limbs, but none with TLB limbs.

The undead look these guys had, with exposed tissue and transparent limbs, was pretty gnarly for a theme that I gather skewed towards the younger demographic

Oh, the one from the Target cube minifig gift set? I have one of him.

For sheer crispness and clarity, this is the better transparent material. For durability in small parts... man, I worry about that arm.

That’s the one. I got at least four copies of both cubes, and some of them are still unopened…somewhere.

@Crux:
The arm should be stable. The shoulder connection is compression, and the wrist connection isn’f that strong (plus the PE used for the hand is flexible, so it probably compresses a fair amount). They won’t do transparent hands or hips, because the thin posts are too likely to break, but heads, arms, and legs don’t take as much stress as you might think. It’s the torsos that make me nervous. I know they’ve done at least one transparent torso (can’t recall offhand which minifigs got one), but those have been known to crack below the shoulder joint, even when made from ABS, in a color that’s not known to be prone to brittleness. The expansive stress caused by inserting the arm, combined with the unavoidable weld line leading down from the shoulder socket, just make that feel extra risky.

I don't think any of my Chima minifigs have had Transparent parts break. I have had other arms and torsos break, only brown or dark red, I think.

I mean, we say that, but I do recall the tiny, fragile transparent hook-hand that Ogel used to rock in 2002. Man, that thing was experimental.

Three colors, in 2000, 2002, and 2004. And then never again. But the standard hook isn’t made out of PE like hands, so maybe it’s the fingers rather than the wrist that they feel is too prone to breaking. Or maybe after 2004 they put a permanent ban on transparent hooks because they got a bunch of complaints about them breaking.

Aquazone had some Trans Neon Green hooks in 1996-1998. I don't recall mine breaking, but I was an adult and more careful.

Thats...weird. Rebrickable shows it in 2000, but it's cataloged to an "Unused Parts Database", and not the Aquasharks sets. Guess they don't catalog the torso assembly components. So TNG was 1996 Aquasharks and 1998/1999 for...whatever that thing from Hydronauts is supposed to be. But trans-red was still 2002 for Alpha Team: Mission Deep Sea, and trans-medium-blue was still 2004 for Alpha Team: Mission Deep Freeze.

I've experienced one breaking, but it wasn't normal wear and tear. A visiting kid was playing with the figure and pulled whatever he was holding out of the hook. Unfortunately, he forgot that it was a hook, not a standard hand, and puuled it forward, instead of sideways.

"So TNG was 1996 Aquasharks and 1998/1999 for...whatever that thing from Hydronauts is supposed to be."

As well as Aquaraiders, in https://brickset.com/minifigs/aqu004 from 1997, which is the one I had whose hook got broken.
