Any cafe close enough for tigers nearby is a hard no from me. Also that establishment is on the edge of a cliff, so double no. Not safe on multiple fronts.

Why...when they already have a throwable ring life preserver, why make a printed tile instead? And why make it a tile with a solid center, when the donut tile exists?

Huh, I actually recognize this set, despite never even being interested in owning it. Probably due to the vine piece, since 2014 was the first year I manually tracked all the new non-minifig elements.

But, oh no... I just realized all the 2016 sets just became eligible for RSotD.... Has it really been 10 years since LEGO peaked? I guess this is the year I get to start feeling old....

The donut tile debuted in 2014 (well, technically, in the 2013 Hobbit sets, but those released in December so they were basically 2014 sets) and only in Dark Stone Grey. Recolors and prints didn't start appearing until 2015. So the Friends design team may not have had that part available to them for this set. As to why they didn't use the existing life preserver piece, who knows.

By in New Zealand,

So it's a rescue at a jungle fall, or rescue from a fall in a jungle.

Always loved the waterfall play feature on this one.

All that’s left of the one person who tried is… well just a single bone. They’ve nearly all been devoured by the tiger. It’s a wonder this establishment is still running.

Or they're trying to rescue the waterfall.

Probably from the hyenas dropping bombs that are droids from the other day.

By in Netherlands,

Jungle Falls, Jungle Falls, Jungle all the way...

It might be time to reset the Huwbot.

By in United Kingdom,

The sign on the roof says medical aid centre. The furniture out from says casual eating establishment.
I think there may have been some confusion amongst the place’s design team…

By in Netherlands,

I bought this for the vine element which was new at that time.

That’s just how they deal with customers who try to dine-and-dash, and the bone is left there as a warning against even making the attempt. I’m sure their shrinkage is almost nonexistent (_one_ person tried…), but that really doesn’t say anything about their overall profitability. Could be people avoid the place lest they offend the proprietor and end up a single discarded bone. Or could be they do a steady stream of business as people keep showing up in the hopes that _someone_else_ will come up short on payment.

By in Netherlands,

I like this one. This subtheme was one of Friends' first forays beyond pedestrian and urban theming and it's instead more adventure themed. Of the subtheme this was the one that gave you a decently sized structure that offers nice variety between the waterfall, outpost, cliff and waterline. In that sense it's not unlike how the Elves sets were designed. Which is quite nice!

In particular, I like the layout with the sliding waterfall and a cave that goes behind the rockface. For this image the crystal is put behind the waterfall but it normally goes in the cave under the outpost. I love stuff like that, personally. It makes sets feel a lot larger than they are because it suggests a lot!

It was already an existing print and with lego's logic that's cheaper than a new part slot or a recolour. And the print might make it more vibrant than the existing life preserver part, which couldn't be striped.
To my memory one of its earliest appearances is in 3937 Olivia's Speedboat, one of the summer 2012 Friends sets. It's a very early friends coded part.

@Binnekamp:
Are their wrists really that weak that they need a smaller throwable life preserver?

Maybe the purpose of the establishment is for tigers to dine on people.

Even so, it's still unsafe. Tiger cubs should not be allowed so close to a waterfall without supervision from an adult.
