I’m going to use this to make ultimate pottery.

Of Ultimate Destiny. (I know I've used that joke before, but it's not *my* fault Lego started so many set names with the word "Ultimate!")

I used to own this set.

I miss Lego Nexo Knights

I loved the Ultimate sets! I thought the figure designs were way cooler than the standard ones and they were the only way I even had Clay or Axel back in the day. Man do I wish we got those blue blade pieces in more colors.

Weird they didn't use that flame piece more.

Okay, firstly.

Damn. It's been 10 years since Nexo Knights.

Secondly, I really liked these "ultimate" figures. Yeah, they were figure packs, but they were a great way of getting new and interesting weapons pieces. When I was a kid, I used to love building little armouries and weapons-galleries for my superhero minifigs, and I could stock them with interesting weapons from castle and space lines (oh, those shiny silver chrome pieces of the mid 90s).

So as a kid, these sets would've been my jam.

The Ultimate sets were great. A pretty decent way to army build the Fire Monsters for cheap, and a great way to get new weapons and armor for your heroes.

With armor like this, I wish I had gotten couple of sets.

Still cool

Oh, right. The shields, and the stupid gimmick that came with it. I forgot about those, which really speaks to the quality of the theme itself. I liked Nexo Knights enough to forget about its stupid gimmick.

It's not a fantastic endorsement, but there we are.

Often found near Ultimate Sand or Ultimate Mud

Nexo Knights were cool. This one gives me Warhammer vibes.

Clay? Looks more like plastic to me.

Clay is about to go Grievous with that apparatus.

I love these Ultimate Nexo guys (and one lady)! I have them out on display often. The green one with the bananas is particularly good.

Using the fire wing piece from Chima as flames that are rotating is quite cool. This set is one of the coolest of its type, as the extra sword-weilding arms add a lot of play value and the parts are great!

I enjoyed this series of Nexo Knights, likes the transparent armor, really fun figs. Although it was a bit overpriced, it wasn't the worst of the spinner-pack-esque sets they've released.

Ah yes, Nexo Knights. The theme with hell-spawn demons under the different name of 'monsters'.

I'm still upset we didn't get more of the tech-vampires from Year 3... those had some cool parts.

And, of course, the shield pieces' main gimmick (scanning them with the Nexo Knights game to unlock powers) is useless now, because Lego and app-based stuff... let's say that they don't have the best history. At least we got a very useful tile shape out of it, and some of the prints looked cool.

I don't remember Batman fighting this version of Clayface before. More like Plastic Man from DC Comics instead.

This is one of the only two Nexo Knights sets I got. Knights' Kingdom II was the first Lego theme I really got into as a kid, and the two have a lot in common, but between the sci-fi mashup elements and my just being older, I never really cared for Nexo Knights.

Same. Highly underrated theme. Year 1 was especially cool.

Knights' Kingdom II came out when I was in my mid-twenties, and when Nexo Knights came around, I loved it, so I don't think that age has much to do with it. I think you may just not care much for sci-fi.

My exact thoughts when I looked at this set.

For me personally, brightly-coloured knights were more appealing when I was a toddler than
a teenager.

I like sci-fi, but I do generally prefer it to be separate from Lego's feudal themes. Ninjago also lost me with all the mechs and motorcycles and fighter jets. It just seemed like they were too many different things at once.

Well, but it’s Clayface. He can look like whatever he wants.

Man, I had mixed opinions on this theme. I loved some of the sets, the new minifig elements such as the weapons, armor, and especially the visors, and the color scheme(I miss you trans neon orange). But some of the sets I thought were awful, and I wasn't fully sold on the world building.

I considered picking up at least one of the ultimate sets to get a hand on new or lesser circulated pieces, but I never got around to it. I was less inclined since I wanted the silver visors rather than the trans colors. I also never got an Axl. The only set I ended up grabbing was the Knighton minifig pack on discount.

Regarding the actual set, Clay's was one of the better sets. It had fantastic pieces such as the blade elements, one of the best looking visors, and the nearly Chima locked fire elements.

Honestly, the first time I saw this I thought it was a Bionicle doing the splits while jumping.
