That's right, we're over 10 years in the Jurassic World era. Still feels weird not to say Jurassic Park anymore.

Shame those raptor harnesses never appeared in another set

I always thought it was nice that this set came with TWO members of the raptor squad. Combine it with 75920 and you got the whole team! Amazing how much just a name and unique patterning can do for distinguishing a character.

They can pry "Jurassic Park" from my cold, dead hands.

As I said when the Claire Dearing figure was RMotD (https://brickset.com/article/93363/random-minifig-of-the-day-jw012), the alliterative nature of this set's name makes it sound like something from te Nineties.

You should have added "fossilized" to that.

This is one of my favorite Jurassic World sets of all time. It comes with two of the Raptors from Owen’s squad, the two main human characters from the movie, and a vehicle from the movie. Pretty much a perfect set. So glad that I own it.

Samuel L. Jackson’s hand wasn’t fossilized, but it was cold and dead.

The 2015 Jurassic world wave was good and bad at the same time.

By in Australia,

I didn't buy this set, but I know I paid far too much to get these two raptors on Bricklink.

I have a lot of nostalgia for this set, I remember when I was young at its time being so excited for the movie. I actually found out about this movie on another Lego forum, the same one on which I watched Tournament of Elements episodes with the Bandicam watermark over it. This set is a good reminder of that period of my life, and it helped get me into dinosaurs for at least a year or two.

I still remember seeing a newspaper article before The Lost world came out where they quoted Jackson saying that in his mind, the raptor ripped his arm off, but he got away. He said, "If they ever come back to the island, they're going to find a very angry one-armed black man."

You put me in some kind of face harness that looks that uncomfortable I’d probably rampage too

I've seen better turck designs. This is just sloppy and ugly.

Anyone remember the time when this set had a huge aftermarket price because all the JW sets seemed to be all we might get of the IP? This set in particular shot up a lot. Then, 3 years later, we got the sets for the sequel and they never stopped coming.

Imagine Owen Grady being a scarce minifig to any extent!

Come to think of it, did we get any new ones this year? If so... they seriously blend together for me now.

Anyway, this set was a good depiction of the scenes in the film that feature the raptors and this truck. The inclusion of the two main leads (3 if you count Blue) also helps.
The studded plates on the sides of the truck look a bit unfinished though.

I paid several too many hundreds of dollars to pick up a bunch of dinosaur-related stuff (some new, some retired, some just the loose dinos) last year because we had an event request "dinosaur stuff", as the adjacent theater was planning to run the original Jurassic Park that weekend. Among the items I picked up were the full set of these four raptors (I had the movie Turtles riding them down a beach).

And when I walked past the movie theater, they were showing a completely different film. Probably because JW4 had just released, and the studio likely revoked permission to screen any films from that entire franchise.

I love me some raptors but yes this set was quite dull and overpriced at the time of release, 11 years ago! What a time to be alive.

By in Belgium,

That first Jurassic World wave was such a mixed bag. The sets had really cool minifigs (I loved those ACU troopers) but some really weird builds like 75918 .
It seemed like movie-accuracy wasn't the main concern for that wave, especially compared to what we've come to expect from other movie licenses. But this particular set was fairly screen-accurate though. Still, I believe the truck is too big and it's not the prettiest when you look at its underbody.
I wouldn't mind a remake of this set, and 60307 had a good base model for a Unimog.

I wish I had gotten this one on release.

By in Australia,

Great fun set that the kids loved playing with but like many sets of the era, the stickers are awful, they've peeled and rolled and now they are beyond saving, nothing can fix them.

By in United States,

I had all the sets from the first wave, sans the raptor pen. This one I bought myself with money from my birthday, and also from returning the 3(!) extra 75915 I got. (I may have had an obsession, and people knew lol)
I modified the truck a few times, but it's long disassembled now, as are the other sets. I remember it having the ability to slide the back part off, but the only other set compatible with that gimmick (iirc) is 75929
