Black Friday Deals

Posted by ,

LEGO has just posted information about the deals that will be available in the UK from Brick (Black) Friday to Cyber Monday at the end of the month (28th November - 1st December).

  • Spend £25 or more and get a free exclusive 2015 calendar! Pick it up in January! Only available at your local LEGO Store!
  • Spend £50 or more and get a free exclusive Christmas set.
  • Spend £100 or more and get an additional 5% off.
  • Enjoy an early view of our January Exclusive sets!
  • Plus many great sets on sale!

Information on the calendar has been previously posted in the forum - apparently it's pretty naff, however the second exclusive Christmas set (40107) will be worth waiting for, and an extra 5% off isn't too bad either :-)

Thanks Gareththeone for the tip.

I think that one of the January exclusive sets is 75060 Slave 1

Extra 5% off doesn't seem too bad... until you remember that last year it was 10% off for an equivalent spend ;-)

Anyway - I'm very unlikely to be tempted by Black Friday deals this year. I've bought all the sets I've wanted this year bar some very expensive ones, plus attending Brick 2014 is going to take a huge chunk of money as it is (you never know what will appear in the marketplace!), so I think I'll save for that (and 2015) instead :-)

Pick it up in your local Lego Store! Fat lot of good that does me. However, that nifty Xmas exclusive and an 'early view'. I'm intrigued to see what they mean by that. Just being able to have a look at some images on the Lego site, or actually being able to buy/preorder them? Time will tell. I'd also be interested to see what goes on sale and for how much off.

Cool, but I don't have a Lego store nearby in Tucson. Does online count?

Lego City Fan, Yes all Lego store deals are available online as well.

YES! Maybe we'll see more of the 2015 sets then... :-)

I read that Slave 1 and the Detective Agency modular would be there.

This is mean. Lego company is growing and growing and became the largest toy maker this year. In return it applied new price policy for exclusive sets. The deal at black Friday is worse and worse each year. Very disappointing.

US residents note, these deals are for UK...we don't always have the same offers in the US. Still, they may give us a clue if they are not the same.

Last year, the VIP offers on the Friday 1 week prior to Black Friday were far superior to the Black Friday offers. For example, triple VIP points in the US. Has anyone heard what the VIP offers might be this year?

@Animal12: it is 2x vip points 'only'

As for the preview sets: Wonder if one of the other preview sets is the Detective Agency.

Thanks madforLEGO! That's too bad. I was hoping to see triple VIP points again - and I probably wasn't the only one!

I've been waiting for triple points, but I guess I'll just pick up stuff on Amazon then. Too bad for TLG.

The Lego US stores have also put up their deals for the Brick (Black) Friday to Cyber Monday. The store download pdf also shows the offers.

See http://stores.lego.com/en-us?ignorereferer=true at the bottom of this link under worldwide news.

The UCS Slave-1 was being put together in the stockroom of my local store during my visit today. Didn't get a whiff of the Detective Agency either way, but the implication was the new Lego Movie sets weren't going to be part of the preview as they won't be out in January..?

What is rather annoying is that the elf workshop is out as a promo for about 30 days. The second set will be out for what three days according to the advert on the site. Why not have it out for at least the first week of December?

Do the offers stack?

Promo will be out in January as well. Google the Jan calendar.

^^ promotions do stack

On face value this year is worse than last year. However, the offer states that spend £100 and get an ADDITIONAL 5% off. Does this mean that there will be other discounts and you can get another 5% off if over £100?

I've just had an email reminding to sign up for the event at the Westfield Stratford and it says :
"10% discount when you spend £100 or more"
So it does seem that it 10% rather the 5%. When I phone to confirm attendance they wouldn't say anything about the offers.

disappointing that this year there is no little cardboard box to fill for free from pick-a-brick in the new year

By in Australia,

It's Brick Friday here in the land of Oz. (12:22am)
Thought I'd wait up and get a few deals.

I can (publically) get the second winter set if I spend AUD$100 or more, I need to spend AUD$200 or more to avoid AUD$35 shipping.

No 5% off. Nothing on sale. No bonus points. No point really.
I'm going to bed.
