Random figure of the day: tlm178
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random figure is tlm178 Banarnar, a The LEGO Movie 2 figure that came in one set, 70824 Introducing Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi, released during 2019.
Our members collectively own a total of 6,929 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at Brick Owl or BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $3.40.

A brick-built figure, two minidolls, and a minifigure, all in one set. *That's not something we're ever likely to see again.
*Insert obligatory “not a minifig” comment here*
Not a minifig. also the first lego fortnite set

I'll need a banana for scale.
"My spoon is too big. My spoon is too big. My spoon is too big."

And when you thought Huwbot couldn't choose a minifigure any weirder.
This photo taken mere seconds before he slipped over himself again
"Minifigure", You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Wait, you just said "Figure"
Alright, you win this round @Huwbot.
But I am on to you and am watching....

"There is no spoon."
So this one counts as a minifigure.
Has anyone else noticed "losing" a couple of minifigures in your collection stats recently? I lost 2 to be exact. And i have no clue why 2 minifigs that I had were suddenly gone. Does it have to do with these kind of (brick built) figs that are no longer a minifig in the database? I really wanna know what happened to those 2.

No it doesn't and the article title (Huwbot) doesn't claim it either (as other commenters said before.)

If the characters you 'lost' were true minifigures, that would seem a bit weird, but if these were brick build characters you 'lost' then the newer 'figure' description might explain the 'loss' from your minifigure collection in the database? But it could also be because AFAIK the database gets updated overnight and from your personal collection overview you can always update your Minifig collection. (Just click on the My Sets tab > then under the column Minifigs Owned > click "Update your collection".)
Keep this guy away from Minions at all costs.

"There are FOUR lights!"
Maybe there should be some kind of 'I am not a robot' test and acknowledgement that this is no longer "minifigure of the day" before someone can comment.

Maybe you slipped into a near by alternate reality, where the native version of you did not have as many minifigures?
Perhaps someone stole a couple and updated your stats for you? Or Huwbot saw them being stolen and is trying to alert you? What were the random figure and set of the day when you first noticed? Maybe there are further clues there.

Yes it does, per _Bricklink_ classification, and this is precisely the reason RMotD got changed to RFotD. Brickset draws all minifig data from Bricklink on a nightly basis, and that determines what "minifigs" you can and can't track on this site.

They could really be anything. Sometimes legitimate minifigs are marked for deletion on Bricklink because it's determined that the entry is a redundant duplicate of a previous entry, or that it's not an "official" minifig (BL has complex rules to determine what the actual official minifigs are for each set, in cases where different combinations of parts may be shown on the box art, in the instructions, in the "special parts" tray used in sets during the 80's/90's, etc.). Sometimes something that's classified as a minifig can be reclassified as an animal or an element, which would ultimately have the same result. I suppose it's also possible that there might have been a glitch during the data transfer, or on the Brickset site, which should only temporarily affect the totals.
At this point, there are really only two ways to figure out which minifigs went missing. If Bricklink posts change logs for their catalog, sifting through the more recent entries might reveal something. Alternately, if the member has their collection downloaded and saved somewhere, they could compare totals for different themes to quickly narrow down where to look.

You are right @PurpleDave , I had forgotten that the minifig data on Brickset is drawn from the BrickLink DB. Thanks for reminding me! (It sometimes gets a bit bananas, LOL!)
Holy sheet, the section is now called "Random figure of the day" and not "Random minifigure of the day". When that happened? lol

After the discussion in the comments for https://brickset.com/article/129246/random-minifig-of-the-day-drm08 @Huw changed the name for the next one (https://brickset.com/article/129282/random-figure-of-the-day-hp373) and all others thereafter.
I disassembled this the other day. I really liked those goofy, crazy and weird figures from TLM and TLM2.

I still can't believe that was rejected by the Family Learning Channel.
No way we’re watching the LEGO Movie 2 tonight lol
'Nar' is jester in Dutch. I wonder if the name was deliberately about him basically being the court jester (constantly slipping over his own peel somehow)
