Animal Crossing leads to Fabuland leads to Legends of Chima. I'm not sure where in that timeline Bluey fits.

Well, firstly because he's a she. And secondly because you're also upside-down, and bats hanging from the cave roof all look right-side-up to each other.

More like a license to sass.

I recently found out that there are adults that have a very odd obsession with this show.

I've heard there are adults that have a very odd obsession with interlocking plastic bricks. No idea where you'd find those.

You can say toys, it's fine with me :)

Hmm, not entirely sure the very stylised 2D heads quite made the transition to 3D Lego. Something slightly eldritch about it, like seeing Simpsons characters from the front

No, I'm in Middle Earth, not affected by upside down ness.

“ Bluey - Sunglasses”?

Should be “Bluey - Sunnies”.

Right. Got it. You’re sideways. Also, didn’t Tolkien write bats into Middle Earth? I seem to recall them fighting eagles at one point.

"This episode of Bluey is called: Minifigure!"

Lego's version of the Bluey designs have definitely grown on me since they were first announced, but I do stand by my original sentiment that a sandwich-board piece for the head, such as used by e.g. Chewbacca, would have better captured their distinctive onscreen shape: in the show, after all, the Heelers' heads are basically part of their torsos rather than being separated by a visible neck like this.

I absolutely understand that allowing the head to turn is better for play, so I don't begrudge this decision. But I still think they could have looked neat the other way, too.

In any case: love the show, so I'm always happy to see Bluey get featured ^^

I guess it loses something in the translation. I saw my first episode of the show today, and it was totally boring and not the least bit funny.

By in United Kingdom,

My Bluey loving children have looked at these and said they look wrong.
They have no interest in the sets, yet they should be prime demographic

When I think of Australia I think of all you listed, plus everything that wants to kill you down there: dingo's, crocodiles, poisonous tiny jellyfish, kangaroos, stingrays, sharks, the crazy-looking cars driven by half-mad nuclear holocaust survivors fighting for the last drops of oil, etc...

You forgot the spiders, the snakes, the cane toads, and the rabbits. And if I've learned anything from watching The Simpsons, the koalas.

I can't believe I forgot all that! Apologies!

By in United States,

For those still ll speaking on the likeness concerns. - I suspect there were some pretty strict licensing restrictions on this line. …Seeing as this is a pretty hot property, I suspect the master toy-rights partners had it specified that any construction based figures would have to adhere to whatever the native figure scheme is for the Construction brand. …Otherwise LEGO would be creating straight figures to compete with the Master holder.

Things that will kill you in Australia: Everything. Yes, everything.
Things that will *not* kill you in Australia: ...Hugh Jackman seems nice.

If Nicole Kidman didn’t kill Tom Cruise, she’s probably safe. Ooh, and Yvonne Strahovski is nice. Although she started out as a stuntwoman, so she definitely could kill you.
