By in New Zealand,

I like how they've only ever done Ghost Rider and his vehicles and nothing else.

I remember first seeing this guy in a Hulk cartoon back in the 90s and thinking he was super cool.

Of course, said cartoon gave me no warning as to just how dark the lore behind him is.

Or how bad the movies would be?

It is a shame that this flame hairpiece is glued onto the head. It would be so awesome to have that hairpiece separate and put it on other minifigs.

EDIT: Looks like 7441 was released recently which is close enough.

I think the new flame is bulkier, to make it more durable. The original was dual-molded, I believe, and the flame portion would not have lasted well if separate from the head.

I thought that the head and flame were molded separately, but glued together, because the flame piece by itself would be too prone to breakage and sharp-edges that could hurt someone.

The original flame was definitely more delicate, and would not have lasted well as a separate element. I originally thought it was glued, too, but learned otherwise when they repeated the design for 71024-13. And I grabbed a new flame on OPAB, and it’s definitely a bulkier design that doesn’t need to be molded onto the head.

They’ve been moving away from glue, though. When the machine they used to glue the glass onto the vintage finger-base frames finally died, they retired that entire system of windows. They switched the glued pin-joiners to the single-piece side-slot design. And now that they’ve got dual-molding capabilities, they just use that for many situations that might previously have required gluing to components together.

By in Turkey,

I had a friend who was a fan of Ghost Rider. We were hunting Ghost Rider comics back in the 90's. Collected a good amount, too. Very cool character. This here, looks great.

“How’d he get like that?”

“Says he made a deal with the devil. Which is ridiculous, obviously.”

“The rationalist in me wants to agree, but the flaming skull for a head is making a very compelling argument…”

I actually really liked this set, I would have liked to see them do more with the idea of vehicles/accessories for mechs.

I always liked 76241's "accessory."

(Googles) Well, what do you know. His name really is spelled with the less common "Johnathon" with an "o."

I will continue to scream every time I see "Luthor" incorrectly spelled with an "e," however.

The "O" isn't the big problem in my book; it's that first "H" that makes me cringe. John and Jonatha/on are genuinely two separate names, even though they come from a common root, so it's quite painful when they get amalgamated like this. As a Jonathan myself, it's a been recurring source of frustration down the years that people so often assume there's another "H" in there somewhere because of the name John, and cases like this do not help in the slightest.

My skull-faced dude, you can be either a John or a Jonathon, you don't get to be BOTH at once.

...I mean, yeah, I joke; but the struggle to not have my name mangled exactly like this is absolutely real... x''D

@PurpleDave:...And we're back...:D

Kinda' make ya' wonder: Will they 'skip' that part of 'the story' in Jacko's documentary coming up...?

Also: So, funny story; back in the late 80's, Hasmost's G.I. Joe line put out this little beauty:

Go down and check the 'file card'...and THIS was the hill Morbid got upset over; NOT a certain missile-tank, this character, to the point: they (Morbid) wouldn't even use his code-name in the comic....can't make this up...:)

Can they trademark the word “Wolverine,” or is it too generic? Ghostrider isn’t in the dictionary, so they can claim more protection, and they also have to if they don’t want to risk losing their trademark forever.
