I have no horse in this race but that one is definitely my favorite.

By in South Africa,

Hopefully LEGO picks the set with both Kaiba & Yugi/Atem minifigs, especially since Blue-Eyes is the most popular monster in the whole franchise. Would be pretty cool if we get a LEGO promo from Konami in the TCG or OCG.

I'll be skipping this. Not into Pokemon: The Gathering. For those who's thing this is, I hope your favorite wins.

Seeing as we still haven't seen any sight of the X-Files set from the competition however long ago, its hard to get excited for any upcoming ideas set, especially another competition one like this and where I know nothing about the IP.

Had zero interest in Yugioh since the original late 90's anime series... and even then it was limited interest. Pretty much the only thing I can remember about the series was Blue Eyes White Dragon being a total Deus Ex Machina, so chances are we'll get some varient of that.

I think the Blue Eyes White Dragon - Duel Display by Brian b59124 does the best job at making a set that is equal parts display piece and playable.

No shade to any of the finalists but honestly, I'm pretty disappointed with the overall lack of variety here. I'm hoping they'll end up making more sets in the future because having this theme be a one-off set just doesn't really work when there's so many recognizable monsters & duelists that could be made. Justice for Joey Wheeler & Time Wizard!

Also, at least one of the entries here seems to have taken some pretty heavy inspiration from my entry that I submitted much earlier in the contest, right down to exact pieces and build techniques used. So... yeah. Can't say I'm too happy about that. Oh well.

It should be between Exodia and Duel Across the Millennia.

Id honestly buy any of the 5

I feel like very few of these feature the cards in any meaningful way, and the cards are half of the show and 100% of the game. The Exodia one does the best but it's only Exodia and you kind of need Blue Eyes White Dragon in a yu-gi-oh set. Some kind of average of the 5 is the real winner here.

Turned out better than I expected.

Summoning Slifer : I really like this but Slifer isn't as iconic and kind of lost among all the many LEGO dragons. Also, the duel disk would be more interesting if you had LEGO cards or could fit actual cards in it.

Duel Across the Millennia : easily the most complete, Yu-Gi-Oh! in a nutshell. Reads well at a distance, plenty to dig in up close.

Blue Eyes White Dragon : very nice build for the scale. The base should maybe look like a card, and you would need a range of these to represent various characters and their monsters.

Millennium Puzzle: it's an odd scene, the puzzle really should be on its own, with maybe a diorama hiding inside. Or combined into a larger Tablet of Lost Memories.

The Heart of the Cards: instant WOW factor. An interesting build that doesn't look like LEGO at a glance and expresses the thrill of monsters coming to life, and includes crazy hair as a plus. Hats off, this is great. I would want all the parts needed to build a complete Exodia figure to be included however, hide them in the base or something.

Anyway, I wish we could get an entire range of Yu-Gi-Oh! sets because all of the ideas here could fill it up at different price points, but if it has to be one.... I think "Duel Across the Millennia" is the safest most mainstream choice, but as a LEGO and early Yu-Gi-Oh! fan I would rather collect multiple sets done in "The Heart of the Cards - Exodia" style.

I'm all up for cool dragons, but even if I had unlimited space, the only licensed set with a dragon that I'd be getting would be 21348. I *might* get 72153, as well, but that'd be it.

I've been rewatching the 2003 TMNT series, and the DVDs have had ads for the Yu-Gi-Oh animated series. From the entries listed here, we've got Blue Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician. The former features in an ad from the S1 TMNT eps, where a girl is trying to get that card back, and the S2 eps have an ad where the main character is trying to recover someone's Red Eyes Black Dragon. I just gotta know, with as much thought as clearly went into these names, is there a card in the game that's called (insert card name here)?
