Seeing this without the stickers or accessories is terrifying.

That's interesting, the inventory tab on 4942's database page lists parts from Lego customer services, although none of the parts have images. I wasn't expecting there to be anything there at all.

Oh my god have I fallen into the backrooms

Cursed...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I remembered the cursed BIONICLE versions of these, completely forgot Knights Kingdom did them too. At least these castle ones actually look like the people they're supposed to be!

By in Australia,

... are we sure this is actually Lego?

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

It's a figure alright. Maybe even a little imposing.

By in New Zealand,

What is it with Lego and making creepy Nestlé minifigures.

Woah, the Shadow Knights got jacked! They were reasonably proportioned in all their other appearances, this guy’s got that bigfig physique going on!

By in Canada,

I know "wrong coloring", but he reminds me of 'Maximillian' from "The Black Hole"...maybe it his visor and build/stance:)

By in Philippines,

These Knight's Kingdom cereal toys were lovely. Me and my best friends in third grade all got these, and we'd play with them out on the playground. I loved the big proper set figures, of course, but these ones were way easier to sneak into school and stuff into your pocket.

System-compatible, too!

Wird minifig, hmm? You have my attention!

By in Netherlands,

I wonder how some people get through life if consider a black lump of ABS creepy or terrifying. ;)

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

I've seen much on this website, but this is beyond words… (Still not as creepy as My Dad, though.)

By in France,

I have a couple of these, very fun and silly little things. I honestly prefer them over the full size figures :P

By in Netherlands,

For those who don't know, this part came for free with cereal. It held a red weapon and a shield and came with stickers, set 4942. On the packaging they advertised that the weapons could be held by the full size KKII figures (even though the scale would be off).

For whatever reason this listing doesn't include the stickers.

If you're weirded out by it, just look at that helmet. It's one still in use today, just represented with this one-piece mold figure in a different way.
That said... this is not exactly the level of a normal set or figure. These are somewhere between the cursed Sports McDonalds 'figures' and the McDonalds Matoran, which were instead normal sets with parts and the entire build type appearing in other Bionicle sets around the time (8556 Boxor and 8546 Power Pack).

Funny, I had the exact same feeling as soon as I saw that thing.

Also second the notion that this looks very little like LEGO.

Great info!

I never even knew this figure existed, and now I want to army build it.

It's got anti-studs on the bottom of its feet, its weapon has a technic axle on the end, and its shield has studs on, so it's at least Lego-*compatible*, which is more than can be said for e.g. the Burger King and 2006-08 McDonalds Bionicle toys (as much as I kinda like some of those)...

That said, yeah, I'd question that this belongs in a database of actual Lego parts. Do we know for sure that these were actually manufactured by TLG, rather than being produced by whoever makes Nestle toys, under license from Lego? I would have assumed the latter, but I genuinely don't know.

I do recall having a few of these; I think I may even have had this one, but I legitimately don't remember now. I for certain had 4944 Jayko and 4941 Rascus, and maybe even 4945 Santis, but couldn't say by now if I had a fourth or not. What I do remember was being interested in getting them all when the offer was on, because *anything* relating to the stories I liked was good in my book at the time; but though I'm not sure which specific cereal we got so I could try for them, I do know that I got very bored of it after two or three boxes and so absolutely gave up on completing the set.

They weren't particularly great figures, all told, and I realised that even at the time; but the novelty of getting new versions of characters who I liked was kinda fun, if nothing else!

I think it may have been Fisher-Price that also used to make a set of wooden humanoid figures that were designed to be stacked like acrobats, and they had a similar pose.

I think this guy looks pretty sweet. All black and that subtle armor detail is pretty freaky.

Honestly kinda wish bigfigs looked more akin to this. Proportionally, feels more like a big minfig than the usual bigfig design does.

By in United States,

I’ve actually started collecting the big Knights Kingdom figure sets, and they’re pretty cool! I do want to get these small figures, but I don’t know where I’d find them.

This could make a good statue on a building in Gotham City.

Buff Shadow Knight.

Gravatar
By in Italy,

I don't care if it says Lego, I'd have thrown this in the trash.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Now I think of it: could it be that Huwbot selected this unofficial and anachronistic minifig of Black Noir just as "The Boys" is about to air its final episodes? If Huwbot selects SH0077, only featuring the alternate face, we'll know for sure it wasn't exactly random…

That's because of the way Bricklink (where Brickset gets its figure data from) lists unstickered parts first, then lists the stickered versions (as well as things like assembled tilt hinges) in a "Counterparts" section at the end of the set's inventory.
