They need to release a new Biggs minifigure.

Still not a fan of these helmets.

Doesn’t count. They haven’t released another one SINCE this one, and it’s been eight years already. We need a new Biggs with the modern torso print, modern leg print, and the classic helmet mold.

Never really liked this one very much. He doesn’t even have a chinstrap.

Why did they immediately abandon these new helmets yet double down on the Stormtrooper helmets?

Ah, what does he need a chinstrap for anyways? He’s gonna die in ten minutes!

I LOVE these helmets!

There are dozens of us! Dozens!

By in United States,

This helmet design was nice. I do prefer the original, though - it fits the minifig heads better, and it feels more "LEGO-y" to print the visor on the characters' heads rather than mold the visor on the helmet (and accuracy isn't sacrificed by doing that).

What? No. You guys, Darth Maul doesn't wear helmets. They're probably uncomfortable as hell, with all those bitty spikes on his noggin.

One of the best Xwing play scale set, and IMO the best version of Biggs.

I don’t think there’s much competition for that, there’s been surprisingly few versions of him

Every Biggs that isn't this figure has already been mentioned in this thread.

Which feels weird, right? Given he’s Luke’s best friend from Tatooine, the inspiration for Luke to become a pilot and the sacrificial lion that encourages Luke to really get his game together in the trench run. I know he doesn’t get too much actual screen time but neither does Dutch Vander and there’s twice as many of him as there are of Biggs

I like that one, but I don’t think it was ever officially released in a set. It’s basically just this figure but with a hair piece instead of the helmet.

What's the diminutive of Biggs?
Biggles.

And he's even a pilot too.

By in Netherlands,

Strangely this Biggs most of all gives me nostalgia for the 1999 Biggs minifig more than that it makes me think of the character in the film. I guess that although I like Star Wars for the most part, being reminded of old lego just does more for my nostalgia.

Oh, and SW milking nostalgia for everything in the core films for decades to the point the new Mandalorian film set line shows like two truly new vehicles (one of which is a mech droid thing) doesn't help.

Interesting. Didn’t know those existed.

By in Canada,

I prefer the older style of helmets with printed visors and chinstraps, but I do think every Rebel pilot should have a "helmetless" face as their alternate expression. I never liked having to source a whole new head when I wanted them that way, and the pilot heads were so specific they weren't much use for anything else.

@ecleme11 said:

It's vaguely interesting that the art accompanying that Biggs gives him this helmet style, while the other pilots all have the original.

Gold Leader's main advantage is that Y-wing sets need *someone* to fly them, and he's the most prominent Y-wing pilot in the movie. Biggs is always going to be the second choice at best for X-wings, and even then, he's competing with Wedge, who has more appearances and can also show up in snowspeeders.

Biggs' deleted scene Tatooine outfit would make sense as an exclusive minifigure at some point, though, especially now that he's got an existing modern headprint.

I did a Brickset search for "City Lights" and "Sledgehammer" to address the possibility of follow-ups, but came up empty.

Hey, Biggs can show up in Snowspeeders, too. Just have Dack holding a little urn in the back of Luke’s Snowspeeder, with a “B” monogrammed on the side.

Said urn is 99.9999999999% Death Star dust. The remaining 0.0000000001% organic ash is far more likely to be dead Imperial.

Still a good keepsake though.

Well, he was half right. And half right is, uh…half the battle? I guess? Pretty sure he made it through at least half the battle, anyway.

In my mind, Aldar Beedo and Gasgano were not admitted after the bouncer queried whether they were really overdue for a new minifigure, or should consider themselves lucky to have minifigures at all.

Speaking of which, Dryden Vos runs the competing 'Will I Ever Be a Minifigure?' club next door.
