funny that picture, hair colour looks nothing like that in real life
This torso has been used on 14 different minifigs, and this is the first time I've seen it used for a male. Turns out there's only one other instance, in 853906...which includes an alternate female head and hair.
Also, it makes me think of Sneetches...but not as much as Patrick from 3815.
The vanilla without toppings of minifigures
Nine years on and I wonder how that couple is doing. Did they break up or are they still together, maybe got a house and a child? Should we be looking out for them as civilians in City scenes?
I miss this torso.
A picnic? On february 14th? Must be lucky or on the southern hemisphere. Over here I went on a trip that day and as soon as the sun was getting low it literally became freezing cold. There was snow the next day. There's not often snow in my part of this country but it sure was there on the 15th!
Anyway, fun set. Okay minifigure. At least the hair color isn't too common, as is that torso.

Given the lifecycle of a minifigure - which we have in fact seen play out, in some sets - these two got married within a year, had a child in 2018, that child would grow up to be a toddler in this family's 2019 set (presumably a Camper-set), we'd see that child and his now-grey parents again in a 2020 Creator-set, before all three of them randomly became collateral damage in a Ninjago-set.
Nine years is a long time in LEGO-years, although it's not always consistent. It's entirely possible that LEGO-minifigures just keep reincarnating.

You're pretty far north of the equator. Some people in the northern hemisphere but closer to the equator can get nice picnic weather on Valentine's day. People who live in Florida, for instance.

Well, assuming there's not a hurricane...

Surprised you of all people would make that comment considering February is outside of hurricane season. ;)
Back to the minifigure, his outfit looks pretty low effort for Valentines Day, but I suppose it is typical for our times.

I live in Michigan, where the weather knows no seasons.

Speaking of the minifigure, his set just appeared in the Site Updates sidebar. Wonder why.

Oh right, that too! Sorry if I came off a bit uninformed, I haven't been able to ever travel south much so I forgot about that.

Pretty sure February isn't in hurricane season.

Probably because this article would now be listed in the "News" tab of the set's database page. At least that's the only thing I can think of.
Men who dress like this are an immediate green flag

I'm familiar with a lot of this site's functionality, but I forgot about the change log, because I'm not sure I've ever used it.

Ah. So someone probably noticed that information was missing due to being reminded of the set by the minifig's appearance, which would explain why it's still pretty rare for sets tied to RXotD to immediately appear in the sidebar.
