LEGO Star Wars 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn revealed!
Posted by CapnRex101,LEGO Star Wars announcements are not done for today, after 75454 Imperial Remnant AT-AT with INT-4, since 75453 Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn has been revealed too!
This set is based on The Mandalorian's second episode, with 1683 pieces and costing £179.99, $199.99 or €199.99. This version of the Arvala-7 Sandcrawler will be available from August 1st and it comes with the Mudhorn, as well as The Mandalorian covered with mud. I have to note that his shoulder armour is the wrong colour, but otherwise, I think this set looks surprisingly good.

Somehow this appeals to me despite being so gray.
Those Jawas look like wee little demons though!
Mainly love that there's "things to do" inside the crawler, also the jawa torsos are unique!
Why do i kinda dig like this?
Oh, look, a baby sandcrawler.
I like the set overall, but if I'm nitpicking, that's a poor attempt at Grogu's hover pram
This set is cool. I have spoken.
Where is Boba Fett's reclaimed armor? I don't see it included anywhere?
NO WAY, ANOTHER SET WITH BOTH GROGU AND MANDO IN?? I'M SO SURPRISED!!!! WHO SAW THIS COMING??
I'm sorry UCS Razorcrest owners, it's not personal, it's just business
"Why are you gray?"
In all seriousness tho, so glad we're getting off-world jawas in a neat playset

at least he's DORTY in this version but yes he's in every set so if you buy a lot of the sets it's going to make the main figure of the series feel like an overproduced, uninteresting figure.
same problem with indiana jones, or even johnny thunder I might say?
The exclusive mando poop figure
Looks like 1x2x1 panels in trans yellow are back... that's the first time they've been available since 1987. They look to be used on the front-facing windscreen of the sandcrawler.
This feels... unfortunate? I wonder if a Blurg(?) and Mudhorn set with similar figures (dropping one or two jawas) would sell better, because while I can see this being appealing, a memorable scenario for sure, I also don't really know how many people would spend this much money on what I would consider a minor variant? I might be grossly underestimating the popularity of grey sandcrawlers though.
Seeing a grey sandcrawler makes me think of that Simpsons Malibu Stacy episode, "but she has a new hat!" - "but now its grey!"
What is the issue with the shoulder armor color?

Absolutely agree. I think part of the reason Ninjago works so well is that it has the right number of protagonists for there to be enough of variety in minifigs between sets that it's impressive to have all ninja suits in a season, especially for the series' target audience of children.
Brilliant of them to change the colour to gray. The Star Wars universe really needed more of that. Next, the Naboo N-1 starfighter... oh wait.
Nice to get Kuiil in a set that costs $200 instead of $650. Now can we get him in a set that costs $65 instead of $200?
@Denmark_Dragon: The reclaimed Boba Fett armor is in season 2, this set is from season 1.

The Mandalorian receives his silver beskar right pauldron before departing for Arvala-7 in the series, but the minifigure has his original durasteel pauldron on the right shoulder.
looks decent, but how does this have so much more pieces than 75220?

This is the way,
Well, thank goodness the Jawa is in the Advent Calendar.
Sandcrawlers are a design challenge I don’t think Lego has ever properly solved. You’re essentially building a big brown (or grey) box with slightly underwhelming interior detail.
Uh oh, I may have to get this one. Interesting, did Kuiil's head get a redesign/reprint?
They never mentioned at all the name of the planet did they?

Star Wars in a nutshell :)
I love a good sandcrawler. But not for that price.

10144 is still my favorite version, as it has a center section that can be removed and played with.
This is the Way
The year of Mando is saving me lots of money. Look, the sets are cool and all, but I can only take so much Mando in one sitting. I get they are trying to play off the movie, but holy crap I don't know if I've ever seen Lego so focused on one particular subsection of SW before. The sets not Mando/Grogu released this year is pretty close to next to nothing.
One of these days we will get a Old Republic movie and then I'll go broke.

Wrong Sand Crawler, it wasn't on this one. Hell, this one is on an entirely different planet

OMG you can't just ask why someone is gray!!
I built my own M:Tron version of a Sandcrawler, so I likely don't need another one. But the figure line-up looks great!
Overall the set looks fun and I'd be interested at that price point if I didn't have a different version already. Same with the AT-AT. Too many samesies with SW unfortunately. Sometimes they improve upon the design don't get me wrong, but other times it is just extra money going to the almost same thing.

Yeah, that’s a good example; it does suffer from the blockiness of the era, but it’s a good design choice.
“We will require the Egg. You will bring us the Egg.”
I really like this set. I’m also glad that they’re revisiting something from the first season, as opposed to just making another set from the new movie.
The muddy Mando is a really cool figure, and I’m liking those Offworld Jawas. Glad there’s one in this year’s Advent Calendar.

Closer to 4 weeks
SOOOOOOGAAAAAA!!!!
The Sandcrawler chase is probably the best scene with the best soundtrack from the whole show; it's only downhill from there (only the second episode, I know).
But, really, "Offworld" Sandcrawler? What does that even mean? They're clearly on a world, and every world in Star Wars is off-world if "world" is Earth. Surely they could've called it "The Arvala Sandcrawler" and it would've been fine. That could even help inform people that the first two episodes of The Mandalorian did not, in fact, take place on Tatooine, despite the similarities.
Anyways, looks ok, still overpriced for the shrunken scale (as usual), and they've now managed to make it so that one of the few Star Wars vehicles that wasn't grey... is. How wonderful.

I was confused by "Offworld" as well. I don't know what that means in the context of Star Wars. Unless they're suggesting that Jawas are native to Tatooine, and since this scene takes place on a different planet, these Jawas are living "off-world." Seems like "Mudhorn Battle" or something like that would have been a more colorful and exciting name.
I like that... rhinoceros? Rhinosaurus? Kodo. I like the Kodo.

The grey-robed Jawas from that episode have been labeled "Offworld Jawas" from the first toys released for the show, so I imagine that's the official licensing name for them.
Lego could look a the Star Wars universe and find that there is much more color than grey. I am so tired of the color scheme. That is one of the reasons I stopped collecting SW all together.
I am no longer excited by all those big, overpriced sets, sprinkled with the occasional desireable minifigure. The company has dampened my enthusiasm for their products from "must have" to "nah, don't really need it". Some years ago I would have preordered all the upcoming Mando sets... not anymore. That makes me sad.
I quite like the Grey Version and the Minifigs too well done Lego!
The At-At walker is cool too
I cannot recall that the Sandcrawler was grey in the Mando series.
I still can't figure out what I will do...

I feel exactly the same way. The weekly drop of $200+ sets has pummeled me into submission.
I'm always interested to see what Lego is up to (which is why I'm here poking around in the comments on Brickset in the first place), but it rarely goes behind just idle curiosity any more. I think I bought one set in 2025 (Fantastic Four set). I have bought ... zero sets in 2026. After 45 years of being in this hobby, that makes me sad too. My hobby dollars are simply going to other things that are more affordable. Lego has priced me out.
Enough with the SW sets.
The Blandalorian and Boredgu strike again.
It seems, this time, they've drained the iconic earthy and patchwork Sandcrawler of all life and reduced it to a gray sludgy mess. Clearly only a mastermind such as Dave "Trapper Wolf Is My Original OC Plz No Steal" Filoni could envision such spectacular design decisions.
This isn't the way.
Thanks for saving me money, LEGO, I'm not about to mortgage my remaining kidney for anything less than Minas Tirith.
Yes, Lego i am interested.
If I had the space, I'd get this. The only set with a Jawa I have is 75198, and I'd love to have a Kuiil.

Big news for Classic Space and/or Blacktron MOCers.

How about $30?

The Episode I sets had to share space with the OT sets, but I don't remember a whole lot of other stuff coming out along side the Episodes II and III waves.
"One of these days we will get a Old Republic movie and then I'll go broke."
That would leave me lamenting the fact that I couldn't buy a new house to display it all in. I mean, I bought all of the TOR sets. I loved KotOR and TOR.

Can't disagree with you there, although @RogueWhistler may have a point about licensing. I mean, licensing is what gave us the clunky title of "The Time Machine from Back to the Future,"

Patience, my friend. We LSW fans can't have nice minifigs in pocket-money playsets until they've trickled down through all the other price tiers first. At this rate we'll get a $65 set with Kuiil in 2030 and we'll finally get a $20 set with Kuill in 2034.

And.... you expected it to be any different when the LAN perennially fails to hold them to account??!!
Let's see an 'exclusive' LAN interview where all the easy mistakes are laid bare and the interviewer asks for justification.
Looking at the Jawa with the ion blaster (or whatever the canon name for that weapon is), been a long time since a SW character held one of those as a weapon, hasn't it?
This set looks excellent and will probably be the first Sandcrawler I pick up! A few more Jawa minifigures would've been nice and $200 is a bit of a rough price - $160 or even $180 would've been better...
But that Mando minifigure is absolutely GLORIOUS!!! I love getting minifigure variants and the Mandalorian desperately needed one since he hasn't had a costume change across 3 Disney+ seasons and a movie. His minifigure is executed really well, it's UCS-level quality in a play set (admittedly a very expensive one, but I'm still so impressed with the figure).

Three jawas is okay- the 2018 Sandcrawler only had two.
Plus there's one in this year's Advent Calendar.
In one of the lifestyle photos, it looks like the kid has dropped the model.
Overpriced once again, but this one is actually a fun playset
I’m not too happy with Lego skipping on new animal molds in SW for some time now. Old ones are extinct (Kaadu, Wampa, Tauntaun , Dewback, Rancor) and new ones are cheaply brick-built.

People are complaining about the price as it is, but sure, let's throw some new molds that will most likely be single-use in there. Besides, some people prefer large animals to be brick-built.
My only complaint about this set is that they name Grogu as "Grogu." If this is from Season One, Grogu's name wouldn't have been revealed. Why not call him "The Child"?

He goes by "Grogu, Formerly Known As 'The Child'" these days.
I don't pay much attention to Star Wars but my sister just pointed out to me that that new mini-boulder piece from City and Friends shows up here in reddish brown! One step closer to Pohatu cosplayer... or Rock Raiders revival. :D

The Grogu formerly known as Child.
the mudhorn was like 3-times in the show...
