Random figure of the day: sw1024
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random figure is sw1024 Luke Skywalker (Pilot, 20th Anniversary Torso), a Star Wars figure that came in one set, 75258 Anakin's Podracer – 20th Anniversary Edition, released during 2019.
Our members collectively own a total of 19,568 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at Brick Owl or BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $10.30.

I didn't get that set because I had 7962, but now I regret not getting it, partially because it's the only set to have three of the four Skywalkers. I'd also like to compare the two podracers in detail.
Lego Star Wars minifigures have really changed a lot since 2019!
Is this the newest Star Wars fig to have a yellow head?

I still like that head print.
So retro
So nice to see Luke hanging out with his mum and dad, admiring his dad’s old car like that

If I was Anakin I’d be requesting a paternity test.
Aren't you a little yellow for a stormtrooper?
LEGO knew exactly what buttons they were pushing with those 20th anniversary figs, and it totally worked for me--I end up with this Luke and his set, among others. The fact that I had not just X-Wing Luke in my childhood but 7131 as well made 75258 a must-get. It was also my first podracer since 7131, and, let me tell you, things had changed in the intervening years!

I definitely thought of buying this set for the same reason; I'd had the big 7171 back in the day and, even if this one didn't have the Gasgaon and Sebulba racers, was intrigued and impressed to see how far the design of Anakin's had come in the intervening 20 years.
(Luke here, I could personally have taken or left, since my childhood yellow!Luke was the one from 3341, who I still have; but it was neat to see his classic form revisited even so!)
I didn't end up doing that thing in the end, I couldn't convince myself that I wanted to drop £25 on Star Wars stuff when my interest in most of the franchise is only minimal these days; but I still think it looked like a very cool upgrade.

The only Twentieth Anniversary set I got was 75243 (and 30384, which may a mini-scale polybag set, but is still tagged "Anniversary Set," and is built in the colors of 7130), but in addition to the Podracer, I wish I'd picked up 75259 and 75261. I didn't really care about 75262, but if I'd gotten those others, I might have picked up the Dropship, just to complete the set.

I still ascribe to the theory that Jedi Bob is really Nicanas Tassu.

Tassu would certainly make sense for set 7163.
I still prefer yellow minifigures.

Bob has a fuller beard, though.
