Random figure of the day: pi115
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random figure is pi115 Pirate Blue Vest, Dark Green Legs, Dark Green Bandana, Bared Teeth (Tic Tac Toe), a Pirates figure that came in one set, 852750 Pirates Tic Tac Toe, released during 2009.
Our members collectively own a total of 574 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at Brick Owl or BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $5.20.

He's been RMotD before: https://brickset.com/article/99270/random-minifig-of-the-day-pi115 If he gets chosen a third time, he'll win!
Disappointed to find there's no pi314 figure...
According to images of set 852750 on brickset, this pirate does NOT appear in that set. There's a green pirate shirt 'Jangbricks face' pirate and brown vest pirate with the classic City crooks face (gold tooth) but no pirates wearing this torso or using this face.
@Huw Either huwbot is wrong or the images here are wrong.

The picture isn’t wrong, but it doesn’t include all the minifigs. If you duckduckgo the set number you can find photos of the open box that show this guy in with the others. There are five pirates and five imperials all told, not all of whom are shown in the main image.
Should have gotten that set... Many minifigures a side, I'ld have loved to have the pirate captain with gold accessories.
Seems well suited to piracy, because that outfit is a crime against fashion.

Brickset only seems to display one photo for the set, and it clearly doesn’t show all the minifigs in it as there’s not enough to fill the board. This guy must be just offscreen waiting to be tagged in

But the real treasure was the friends we buried on deserted islands on the way.
Arrrrr.

As I said the last time this guy showed up, I wish I'd gotten this set, although I don't remember ever seeing it.
Oh wow, this tic-tac-toe game has ten different minifigures? That makes it so much more interesting than the one I had, 851848, where each side was made up of five identical guys. Not to complain or anything, since I got that one as a Christmas present from a family friend; but it's still curious to me that they took the "everyone is unique" route with this one, but not with that.
If the City one had been like that, I'm sure I would have folded its minifigures into my regular collection; but I really didn't have any use for five identical cops and five identical criminals, so I never did that with the one I had.
I do like the bandana piece in dark green; it does feel weird seeing it in such a relatively modern colour after I've been used to only ever having it in red, blue or black, but it's a cool kind of weird ^^
852750 Pirates Tic Tac Toe! I didn't even know this was a thing. What a hilarious battlepack.

Pirates are rebels against restrictive color schemes.
