Not the most inventive name, but I suppose it’s descriptive.
He’s not evil. People just object to the fact that he wants things that aren’t already his. Bit, uh, the color scheme’s a little off.
Underneath that armor is a pretty cool update of the original Blacktron torso.
Not my favorite of the obvously Blacktron collectable minifigs. Its kinda a mixture of the two Blacktrons, with the lime and all.
The printed arms and legs go really well with the torso from Wrench of the Space Police 3.
"Please, Mr. Mech was my father. Call me Evil."
@PurpleDave: I don't know if 'off' is correct, or if they tried to combine BT and BT2, and...well...got neither really...:D
I don't have a single one these. I have three:)...and one day (some rather than later); I'll have to collect them, all the other BT crew/characters I have; then SPA...sorry, Space (Classic, Neo-Classic, and so on) and build some planetary battle-scapes...need to also track down a copy of 'Brik Wars':)

It’s not the only time they’ve done that. Rench from SP3 has a standard Blacktron torso print with the Super B logo, and the cyborg from S3 leans pretty heavily towards B1, except also sports the Super B logo. The CMF bounty hunter and mutant, at least, seem to know the difference.
I have this one, the head design and the black/yellow Blacktron logo somehow makes it look like a crash test dummy.
He's not evil! Lego is just jealous because he looks awesome.
I'm not gonna buy every minifigure with BT logo slapped on them.

Of course not!…
…some of them were gifted to you! XD
A really great one. Sure, it's basically a clone of the 71000-13 Battle Mech, but it has a (classic) blaster and even arm printing. It's printed well all over actually. Only the head underneath is a bit simple.
A really fine addition to your Blacktron collection. Or, a nice bad guy fig if it's your only one of the faction!
Is it just me or do the Pictures of the Minifig seem to be of completely different colours? This pic looks Dark Blue / Sand Blue but the others look Grey / Black?

It's just the lighting.
The CMF Mechs seem to be autonomous rather than piloted robots, but I've only otherwise heard the latter called "mechs."
I liked this figure, but the old-fashioned blaster seemed kind of out of place next to all the fancy printing. I think I might have given mine a Star Wars or Alien Conquest gun instead.

Maybe they’re being piloted by the same tiny dudes piloting 71046

No, he's just misunderstood.

You mean 71046-2, and I had the same thought.
I feel like it's been a long time since we had a CMF RMOTD...
good space one to balance things out, but not as good as the Blacktron mutant from series 26

“Mech” can stand for different things, and in fact it sounds like the definition of “mecha” was corrupted by being a two-time loan word from English to Japanese to English again:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mecha
But “mechanoid” is also a legitimate usage that would make sense here:

I always found this fella to be weird. The yellow triforce BT1 logo and yellow on the torso, but lime head/arm printing/leg printing...so odd.
I get it to an extent since even Space Police 1, 2, and 3 all use different color schemes, but why blend them all in this one?
So ultimately you use this armor and chest for BT1 and then swap arms and legs for BT2.
I grew up during BT2, so I fancy them more, but I understand the interest in BT1 also.
