This is what happens when your factory workers revolt and go MAD MAX on you.

Kinda Quick Lore because we've covered Ordeal of Fire before:

The Fire Villians were once a group of simple mining bots. After an experimental procedure to allow them to absorb energy for faster recharges, the group went insane and became addicted to consuming as much fuel as possible. Their crime spree culminated with them attacking and eventually burning down a fueling station, during which they were captured and sent to rehab by the HERO Factory with their new ice themed upgrades.

Is that an unlicensed nuclear reactor on his back?

Oh wow. I was pretty close in my comment.

Guy kind of gives off Piraka/Skakdi vibes, except that he's got no scary grin.

I like the Spanish livery...

That claw looks like Vecna's.

I have this guy! The Fire Villains were pretty underrated.

"Yo yo Nitroblast" just doesn't have the same ring…

By in Netherlands,

His head always reminded me of 8623 Krekka's head, just not brick-built. Btw, the part's dual sided and was used for the head too in 2193 Jetbug. That was a cool way to get more out of the same mould.

The fig's cool in general btw. The welding torch arm is double-boned to make it visually stronger. Also... welding torch arm!
What let down these figs a bit was the randomness of the armor design. Or perhaps heightened them, IDK.

Well, it IS the same part from 7148 Meltdown ;)

... say what you want about the execution, but those early Hero Factory sets had some metal concepts sometimes, man.

That big ol’ bug-eye makes it look like he’s got a monocle and now I can only imagine him speaking in a sinister German accent. I suspect this is not the case…

Nobody expects the Spanish Livery!

Nitroblast sounds like a Mountain Dew flavor.

That angle and pose really does him a lot of favors. CCBS had to start somewhere, but jeez the fire villains were bad sets.
