LEGO Marvel Avengers: Doomsday sets revealed!
Posted by CapnRex101,The much-anticipated trailer for Avengers: Doomsday was released earlier this week and now five sets based on the upcoming movie have been unveiled too.
There are three minifigure-scale sets, containing some characters making their minifigure debuts, such as Mystique, Nightcrawler and Sentry, plus a BrickHeadz pack and 76345 Doctor Doom Bust.
Doctor Doom's bust will be released on September 1st, while the other sets will arrive on October 4th. You can view them all and find pricing information below...

Super Heroes sets have often been criticised for their lacklustre minifigures, but I must say, the selection here looks brilliant! Not only are there quite a few new characters, but each minifigure seems very detailed, with leg and arm printing and dual-moulded elements where needed.
What do you think of these sets? Let us know in the comments.

Sentinal looks great,
Others have decent figs (nice to have most of the Thunderbolts) but not great builds may need to bricklink them.
Hopefully more sets later with the missing characters (mainly Gambit, Walker and Ghost)
In 76352 we finally see what happens when the Human Torch is denied a bank loan.
I think those long Avatar legs work much better for Mr. Fantastic than the brick-built solution from 76316
Now just to make them dual-moulded!
Only thing I like about these sets is the Doctor Doom minifig... Shame the cheapest way to get it it the hideous, and slightly overpriced bust.
Also, good thing that these sets don't spoil any parts of the movie... /end sarcasm.
Missing Gambit and Sue Storm figs, hopefully they will be in a future set
Nightcrawler looks great. I really hope Magneto has an angry face on the other side.

The Doom minifig in the bust is actually the only one with arm printing.
Reckon those Quinjets get smaller every time, also plenty of Doom figures for illusions and such like :)
Someone please give the Avengers a second type of vehicle.

Huh.. missed that. Still, don't really want to have to get the terrible bust just for the fig.
So, how many Doctor Dooms do you want?
Spoiler alert
Here's to hoping that flame "hair" gets used in Ninjago.
I'm not excited for the movie, but the sets are pretty solid. Definitely want the Sentinel.

Sue is already in each of these sets.
76269 is on back order but how would you like 76352 instead?
Nope, I'll have the more expensive one please.
Nice solid simple bread-and-butter swooshy jet there. Doesn't break any ground in parts or features or construction techniques, but it should be a fun pickup if I can get it half-price without figures.
Nice minifigs and mediocre sets from a probably disappointing new entry in the MCU (if the trailer is anything to go by).
Holy Spider-Man no words no words at all, i know that there'll be more soon before the year is over!

With him ending up in every set, I have a feeling we'll see him as a magazine gift, too.
Bucky's head still looks terrible. At least their not giving us plain legs anymore. I find it funny how the quinjet set does not even have one of the thunderbolts/new avengers to pilot it. It's as if the team making these did not want to put Cyclops in the sentinel set and just dropped him into the quinjet.
Nightcrawler!!!! Great to see my favourite X-man get some love.
Also, something is very wrong here: Sets that feature the X-men without a gratuitous Wolverine?

Well Hugh Jackman is not gon' be in the flick so..........................yeah.
The bust and the sentinel are the winners here. I really like the ‘epic battle’ sets they’ve been doing for the Marvel films.
WOW! I can’t believe how good all of these are! Like, the builds for the tower and quinjet aren’t super impressive, but the sets are all very solid!!! And the minfigures! I feel like Marvel Super Heroes has been backsliding with its figures of late, but these are all incredible, and some of them are even notable upgrades from their predecessors! Dual-molded legs, arm printing, toe printing? Long awaited characters like Nightcrawler, Mystique, and Sentry? Heck yeah. Confining the Doom with arm printing to the bust set is lame, though
One thing I do mourn is the lack of cheaper sets. This isn’t a display line or a one-off Icons theme, this is an Avengers movie and the entry-level playset is $60. We really couldn’t get, like, a $10, $20, or $30 set? One of my favorite sets from Infinity War was 76102 because that was the one I could… y’know… *afford.* I miss the cheaper stuff.
The photo of the front of the box of the Brickheadz 40880 appears to show their scaling all over the place. The back of the box shows them as being about the same height but the front makes them look very different to each other - especially The Thing (who looks like a toddler).
These sets look decent and credit where it's due: almost every single one of these minifigures has leg printing and it looks FANTASTIC! After so many years of half-finished Marvel minifigures, I'm so happy to see a step up in these sets. I don't know if it'll last (I kind of doubt it) but I'm very impressed. And it's amazing to see a unique face print for Yelena after nearly a decade of Natasha Romanoff using Jyn Erso's face.
Avengers Tower looks kind of bad to me, the new in-universe design is a bit rough to be fair but I don't think it's been translated well into LEGO form both design-wise and color-wise. There isn't any blue in the new tower so I don't know why it's such a dominant color here.
The Sentinel is excellent and the Quinjet is an interesting design - hopefully there's some good interior space. The minifigures are awesome, I think the selection is a little lacking (I love the Thunderbolts but where are Shuri, Namor, Shang-Chi, etc.) so I really hope more sets are coming early next year. Not a single Wakandan is disappointing and only 3/4 of the Fantastic Four? I wish we had some complete teams. A few more sets with Professor X, Gambit, Beast, Sue Storm, U.S. Agent, Ghost, Black Panther, Namor, and Shang-Chi would be great.

It's not a spoiler if scenes are revealed officially via merchandise.
Vaguely appalled at the implied size of the cast. Unless the film is going to be four hours long most of the characters will be lucky if they get even five minutes of focused attention.
But that isn’t Lego’s fault, and the sets look pretty decent.
I am very negative towards Lego these days, so I've got to give some rare praise. The three minifigure sets all look pretty cool to me. The Sentinel and the Tower even have reasonable prices imo!
Finally some stuff I will buy. Cool minifigures abound. Don't care about Brickheadz and Dr Doom bust is cringe. Is this the first bust or helmet with eyes beside the Yoda one? They should have left the eyes out. YIKES
Also lame no Gambit fig anywhere.
I kind of like Old Man Magneto, but I still think the original from 6866 was the best. Unfortunately, that came out during my dark ages - and is now prohibitively expensive. Womp womp.
Fortunately I did manage to get my hands on 76005, because that version of Dr. Doom kind of blows the Robert Doomey Jr. out of the water in my ever so humble opinion.
All of that said - the minifigures in the Sentinel-set are pretty good, and that Sentinel itself is a genuinely good-looking build. Maybe it's the Billund-Syndrome talking, but 100 Euros for that set seems okay.
On the other hand, that Avengers-tower has some desirable minifigures as well, but sweet baby Jesus, that tower is abysmal. I am aggressively indifferent about Yet Another Quinjet, and the less said about Brickheadz and busts, the better.
They’re not fooling me: none of those Doom Minifigs are actually Dr. Doom. They’re Doombots. I’ve been reading comics too long to fall for that again. Von Doom ex Machina, indeed!
Thor's brickhead looks like he has a receding hairline lol
I want them all
Going to assume there’s at least one set not yet revealed because there’s no way they’ve only done three of the Fantastic Four. I’m assuming there’s going to be one with Sue Storm in it at some point

I also think it unlikely Gambit gets a Brickhead and not a minifig. (Yes I know he is in the X-Mansion, but that isnt the film version and as seen from Cyclops, despite similar outfits there can be new figs)
These sets look good to me. I want the minifigs, lol. I am interested in the set with the Quinjet, but wish it was $10 cheaper at least.
Why are Thor’s hammers in the trash bin in the Avengers tower set?
Would it have killed them to include the Doctor Doom minifig with the printed arms in all of the sets?
If I had a nickel for everytime Mr Fantastic was in a set fighting a purple and pink buildable figure, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

This made my day! Fantastic quote from a hilarious movie! Well done sir… Ron Burgundy would be proud!

It spoils the movie, end of rant.
LEGO, make up your mind. Is it Epic Moment Collection or Epic Battle?

Just one. That’s all Squirrel Girl needs to defeat. Well, him and MODOK, but I already picked up the small version of that chump.

All of this was shown in the trailer, and I don’t consider showing clips of two of the big action set pieces spoilery

I haven't seen any trailers and would like to keep it this way, but "THE X-MEN FIGHT A SENTINEL" isn't much of a spoiler; that's a Tuesday. I don't know why Thor and Richards are there, but if I had to hazard a guess it's because the Sentinel wants to use Richards as a stress-ball and it just isn't a Marvel-set if Thor isn't in there somehow.
I could give you a huge spoiler from the comics of you like, regarding Mystique - but I feel the movie might go that route already. Call it destiny.
I tapped out of the MCU some time ago and won't be watching this one but wow the figures look good. But the builds aren't up to par.
Gambit brickheadz doesn't have a card?

In early 2020, I built a MOC of Starro the Conqueror for the 60th anniversary of his debut appearance in the first Justice League story. Then this thing happened, and I didn’t get to show him off again for over a year. On August 2nd, I just stopped by a weeklong display for a few minutes, when someone walked up, saw Starro, and said, “Oh, the Suicide Squad!” I clarified that he was fighting the Justice League (Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter, just like on the cover of that first story). “Oh, he’s in the new Suicide Squad movie.” The movie opened on the 5th, and I’d made it all the way to the evening of the 2nd without learning that he was going to be in the film at all. Spoilers are defined by the spoilee.
"much-anticipated" seems overly generous, but i suppose there's no accounting for taste
How badly did they nerf Thor for this tgat he doesn’t just one-shot a Sentinel?
Even Mastermold wouldn’t be that much of a challenge.
