Having a bit of a 'mare with LEGO.com though...

10 minutes past midnight and server errors already.

Brick Bros UK YouTube channel had it a month (or so) ago when Brickset did their review, I therefore thought it was out already.... doh! Just tried Lego Shop but no luck!

Huw, the UK link isn't working for me, so I had to order without giving you your cut, sorry.

But apart from being a wee bit slow, LEGO.com behaved for me.

Just got mine!!!! (Toyworld NZ) So excited & not even a Doctor Who fan.. Set looks totally awesome and a fun build. Love new Idea sets :-)

John Lewis had them on the shelf today so picked one up..

I can't believe even just the release of this one set would cause Lego servers to become overburdened.

So just wondering... any promotions in December that we should be aware of before leaping to get this set?

I believe their are multiple new sets being added to the list including some 2016 sets. It s not just the Doctor Who ideas set.

I think the free Ginger Bread House on £60+ orders is about the best you'll get before Christmas.

And if you wait, this set will sell out very quickly, I reckon.

Managed to get an order in not long past midnight with no troubles...made a nice change for once :)

Lucky for me I'm staying at a hotel 5 minutes from a Lego Store. Think a 9am visit tomorrow is in order

My order just worked. I discovered that if I had over €30 worth of Star Wars Lego in my bag, a free C-3PO showed up too! Must be the one with the red arm, yay. :)

Ordered! They came on a couple minutes before 11, so I got the Gingerbread House. :)

And I just can't seem to process my Transaction for Doctor Who. Website being updated I'm guessing and when it's done I will likely lose the Gingerbread house

Everything worked out fine for me--with CyberMonday sales prices still in effect and a free Gingerbread House as well--but although I added plenty of Star Wars sets to my basket, I never saw a whiff of C3PO, so I guess he's not available to US customers. I'm happy, though!

Here's hoping it comes to a Kidstuff or something in Australia. I'd like to get it for Christmas, but it's unlikely. It'll be $100+ but for DW I think its worth it.

The Tardis is € 0.01 too cheap to get the Gingerbread house here in the Netherlands... so I added a 8 cent Pick a Brick piece :P

Is it usual to have an order confirmed and not receive an email? Ordered it just before midnight, the Gingerbread House kept disappearing from the basket but I checked out so as not to miss the Tardis. Now I'm not sure whether my order will be honoured?

I bought one from John Lewis last week (£49.99), and they had a fair few on the shelves; so might be worth trying your local John Lewis if you're still after one.

Re my above post, I have now had a confirmation email with a Gingerbread House to boot. So I guess they're cycling through the backlog.

Plenty in store. Picked one up 10 minutes ago. Didnt feel the need to hoard them so only bought the one. May go back and nab an extra set and the ghostbusters set to keep mint, but given the fact so many people are doing the same, will probably never make a penny on it.

Got my Copy in my LEGO Store this morning. They only had two Copies left.

Limited to one per household at the Lego Store in the Stratford Westfield Centre, east London. However, plenty on the shelves and lots more out back, I was told. Gingerbread House still being given away too.

Shop.lego.com is not working for me -- whenever I go to any section from the home page (such as my cart), and then try to do something in that section (Such as applying VIP points), it returns to the home page with a "/?_requestid=10714756" after the web address. Could this be a glitch caused by (inefficiently prepared for) traffic overload, I wonder? Also, if Doctor Who is "Out of stock, expected ship date Dec 14 2015", I should still be able to include it in my order and wait until then, right?

Anyway, I hope others are not having this problem -- it means that I cannot place my order; I hope it will be resolved before the Gingerbread House promotion ends.

Out of stock in Europe but still can be added to basket and checked out with 7 December ship date. Thanks to the reminder above I had to ring customer service to get a single pink brick added to my order to bring it over 60 euro to qualify for the gingerbread house.

I got mine in a local toy store on Sunday. Brilliant set and an enjoyable build.

There's one available on eBay for £150 if anyone is interested... no..? I wish there was a system with Ideas where anyone who voted for it was able to pre-order to avoid situations like this - I know it will be available, and I could still order it now with the delayed ship date, but being sold out before I even wake up?!

Hope it stays available till April 2016...

Grabbed two today in Lego Store Munich Pasing where they were rapidly moving. The store assistant was surprised so many were moving today - DrWho isnt exactly well known in Germany unless your an expat with iplayer and a vpn *cough*

It's not good enough- I demand a TARDIS set that is actually bigger on the inside! :P

Went to John Lewis in Birmingham today. None in store but they ordered it for collection in store tomorrow. It sounds like you can also click and collect to Waitrose stores. I will be saving it for Christmas Day :-)

Bought mine online yesterday at 9:30 AM. Was still in stock for an hour or two later but sold out soon after. Bought a Scooby Doo and a Friends set as gifts, which brought the total up enough to get the gingerbread house. Can't wait to get it but it's been a day and the order still says in warehouse

Purchased mine on the day at 06:00 before going to work. The order went through but Lego have yet to send the message to say that it's been dispatched.
Hope to have this before Christmas (fingers crossed).

Took the family to Legoland this weekend and picked one up.

Makes me sick that the vultures are buying up as many as possible and trying to flog it at over-inflated prices on ebay and other Lego community sites...

On Saturday, we bought the last two that were on the shelf at our local LEGO store. I was told they "just got them in on Tuesday". I'm not sure if there were anymore in the "back room" or if we got the last two in the store. My daughters are both huge fans of Doctor Who.

My set which was originally backordered until Dec 14 has just shipped according to a LEGO.com email.
