LEGO stop-frame animation used to educate buyers on their consumer rights
Posted by Huw,
Kent County Council is using LEGO to help educate its residents on their consumer rights. A short stop-frame animation has been produced which aims to get the basic message of "think before you buy" across.
Of course it's not just relevant to those in Kent -- there are people trying to rip us off across the country, and especially online!
You can find out more about consumer rights here.

The front of the custom car at 0:22. I'd love to see the whole car...
The same problem exists all around the world and dodgy salesmen exploit this constantly. Quite a few times, I've had surprisingly long arguments at shops over what should have been very straightfoward issues. However, this video does nothing to actually educate consumers about their rights; it's almost useless.
Is this Kent, Ohio?
@Echolord - Kent, England. The URL is kent.gov.uk
Known as the "Garden of England". I live here, and I tell you, that is an accurate name if your garden consists of concrete, a busted old washing machine, half a broken sofa and a tracksuit-clad pikey relieving themselves on your pet dog. Thank god for Lego to dress the place up with...
I agree with @Huey1 this video is useless. They could have made an advert of what you enter into when you buy something and used it to link to a website that gives more information. Instead they make an advert explaining what you enter into when you buy something and link to a website. Where is the education in that? Another waste of local councils money on something that doesn't do anything it said in the description that was written as a summary by someone who doesn't work for the council. I am disgusted and will now vote UKIP.
Do they need it?
@ Alberci: You can see a little more of the car here:

^ Ah, so you had something to do with this one as well then :)
Yeh, I built the stuff, but Blueprint Film did the animation.
In the same week KCC announce they're going to increase the Council Tax, we get stuff like this which just shows KCC departments still don't know how to make a constructive use of their money and budgets.
Kudos to the team for the animation and the builders involved but a resounding kick in the ass for those at KCC who thought it was a good idea.
Left handed hand-shake at 0:22 ?
