We launched our BrickHeadz building contest in June and have received an incredible total of over 1000 entries during the last couple of months so many thanks to all those who submitted creations!

However, the contest is now closed so further entries will not be accepted. We will next be starting the difficult judging process, aided by BrickHeadz designer Marcos Bessa, so will let you know as soon as we have a result.

2 months might have been too long. I made all my contributions in the first 2 weeks.

Thanks for a great contest... before this I had absolutely no interest in head-figures and didnt get LEGO-heads either... but these entries have caught my interest! Very close to buying my first!

By in Australia,

I guessed who those Brickheads were supposed to be straight away. Great job batalfie! Anyone who can build something in a way that it is instantly recognizable has done an awesome job.

Personally I think brickheads are stupid and look like brick built versions of those hard plastic or sometimes plush toys they sell at video game stores. (I don't know what they are called but there black eyes look exactly the same as a 1x1 round black tile, they usually represent characters from video games and characters from licensed themes)

Don't beat yourself up about that. Use the ones you feel are great as inspiration. Apply the little tricks others used to your own work. Got a link so I can see yours?

I am honoured that you picked one of my entries to show with this article. :)
Good luck to all who entered, I don't envy the judges for having to choose a winner.

This contest was really fun. Good way to spend the summer, making over 100 brickheadz.

Good luck to all people who entered!

By in United States,

So, I just finished watching a video on YouTube that featured a couple of Overwatch Brickheadz including one of mine from this contest. The person doing the video seemed to think my brickheadz were rendered even though they are definitely real bricks.

Now I'm worried that the judges might be confused too and accidentally judge it against the rendered entries when it shouldn't be. You can click through on my name to see the link to my flickr if you are curious as to which ones I did.

I hope the judges are better at picking out the rendered MOCs from the real MOCs, because I don't think mine look even remotely rendered.
